The 4runner 5th gen must be the most timeless suv I ever seen. I love the look of it since it came out and it still looks amazing for so many years. I personally think it looks better than the new one coming out with its weird looking shape and front end. This one is a beautiful vehicle. I don't have the money for one. But if I ever need to buy an suv I'll definitely look for a used one in the future
Something people need to recognize, is basically all vehicles are depreciating assets, and not investments. Most of these vehicles that depreciate slower have higher upfront costs and insurance that at minimum offset those benefits, and at worst completely negate any perceived benefit. We really need to stop thinking of vehicles as anything more than 1) a tool to go wjere you NEED and 2) a WANT for certain luxury features. Many of us really also don't need a new or any vehicle given the prevalence of remote and hybrid work. I haven't had a vehicle where it usually would be considered non-negotiable, and won't look back after accounting for all the savings on the vehicle, insurance, and maintenance. The gas savings are pretty much offset by need for Uber every so often.
@@tammieandrzejczuk2573 fair enough, but that's unfortunately the dynamic of relatively fixed price economics. Cars don't really vary in price the way homes do by market, because people can go there or order if the arbitrage is worth it. The only solution is to bring higher wages to your area or move to areas where the economics shift that way. Or share vehicles with friends and family. Not saying we "shouldn't" be able to easily afford cars, but me not needing one means I can afford more of other things than the next person, all else being equal
My brother just dumped his 2023 Tundra Capstone that he paid $88,000 for in 2023 new. He only had 9,000 miles on it and all he could get was $48,000 trade in. He dumped it for a new F250 due to all the problems he was having with the Tundra and it being a hybrid and still only getting 13 mpg and having issues towing. He made money on his 2021 Tundra when he sold it in 2023 and got the new 2023 one, Tundra is going down hill for sure.
Drag race all three for no reason other than making a video and seeing what happens!! if I had my Sienna minivan there, I would race it against whatever you put up
Impressive array of cars - however, I recall a far more impressive array being presented on this channel when I saw an FJ Cruiser, a 2021 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition and a 4Runner TRD pro in your driveway. I wonder how much that lineup would be worth today :)
Untamed, been watching your channel for years - you buying a vehicle which lost 12-13 grand in a year? Unheard of. We have to face hard facts, that demand for these next-gen Toyotas on the used market is and will be much softer than for past Toyota models.
Well, that Sequoia TRD pro should probably only be maybe in the mid 60's new, so even $71k is high given it is used. We are clearly still in a major bubble
@@UntamedMotors Hey Boss Untamed, sorry about the back order but I thought you’d be interested in today’s huge WSJ article on negative equity. If you need a pdf of it, feel free to let me know.
That sequoia would be the last pick in the full-size segment, I’d go suburban/tahoe then expedition then armada then wagoneer then sequoia. The sequoia isn’t really competitive
The bottom is falling out on the car market. Dealers aren't going to be able to offer you what you paid for a vehicle a year ago or less to buy it back any longer. Love my new 2024 4Runner ORP (wish it had black headliner) and I think there is a good chance it will hold value better than the new stuff Toyota is bringing to market.
I love your videos, but I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove. Obviously I think they give you a solid price. What do you think you roll the truck off the lot and you still gonna keep 100%or 90% of this value 😂 you’re tripping if you think that’s how thecar market goes. you’re living in a Covid Era where prices were hijacked to the roof with all car manufacturers, specially used vehicles.
is that sequoia yellow pee on your driveway? if Carmax put $71k in your hand for a rusting piece of sheet metal, with questionable mechanicals, in a car market on the verge of collapse, close your fist.
Idk, but u r sounding more and more like a total salesman and not a pure toyoto loyalist owner it's not about the money for most of us we want too see mods and tips for our toyotas not discuss how much they r worth .

The TRD Pro is very cool, but it’s still over priced by 35%.
Everything is overpriced by that now days. 😔
I Agree, I always go with the off road model . I usually mod Alot so pro would be a waste for me personally .

$71K for a Toyota... This world has gone mad!!!
That’s a great price honestly. Go for it. No one is going to pay any more then that. I would sell it.
@@sultanniazi2394 I called a Toyota dealer in CO and got $75K first call. Could probably work it up to $78K I acted in the next couple of weeks.
