My next vehicle will not be a Toyota.
Guess what the transmission wasn't built by toyota. It's built by aisin. The engine was built in an American plant. The truck was engineered in the USA. Also the last gen truck was built in mexico at the same plants. Goes back to the old toyota pickup 😂

I believe Toyota has been reliable in the past but the new trucks are too expensive and lack the same quality. I bought a 24 Frontier Pro4X and got a good deal on it.
Good choice. Pretty much the same old box frame F-alpha platform. And the frame is not thinned out like Yota does (hello rust lol). Proven VQ V6 design has decades of proven reliability. Daimler benz 9 speed is overbuild for heavy body on frame applications. Also made in Canton Miss in the good old USA as well as the motor made in the states. Much higher build quality then the crap coming out of Yota's baja plant and the other POS plant they got down south.
@@jmyers6175 Toyota is not a Toyota anymore. By all means drive past a Nissan dealership and buy an overpriced Toyota which will leave you on Google looking at lemon laws in your state.
Toyota has run through the fools willing to overpay and now they are stuck with them because people with a little common sense and money smarts ain't buying.
On a more serious note: 1. internal bump stops with cheapo cast aluminum top hat (shocks are busting into the wheel wells lol) 2. No dedicated trans intercooler (rear differentials are overheating) 3. Box frame is thinned out too much in sections (hello rust and more tacos breaking in half lol) 4. Back seat is worst in class and completely unusable on TRD pro.
@@theinfinitymachine9610 Only way to fix some of these issues is to redesign the manufacturing defects. At a minimum use frame mounted bump stops and install a dedicated transmission inter cooler in front of the radiator. Even my 2019 Frontier Pro4X has that. Bean counters has far too much say on this current taco. I guarantee that engineering at Yota did not sign off on cheapening out in those two critical areas.
True story here, i went to get an OIL CHANGE on my 2019 Tacoma SPORT and a salesman came over and reminded me that i ONLY OWED 2,800.00 on my tacoma and if i were interested in trading in to the NEW TACOMA, i almost did it until i found out it was a 4CYL, i just got up and said thanks BUT NO THANKS! I do NOT care if the 4CYL is a TURBO! NOPE, it is still a 4CYL!
I’ve always been a Toyota fan. Until the new tundras and tacomas .. over priced junk in my opinion. I’d buy a Ford over a Toyota now. And I hate saying that. But it is what it is
I still couldn't do a Ford lol.. but even a Nissan doesn't sound so bad now. Toyota jacked up the price massively while outsourcing more manufacturing than ever to Mexico where they pay workers like 2.25 an hour. You get what you pay for. A worker making $2 an hour putting together a truck they could never afford themselves isn't going to take pride in it or it's quality. That's why Henry Ford thought it was important his workers made enough to afford the cars they were building.
I wasn't even willing to pay $40k on the last model. I always wanted a tacoma but when the prices went over $40k I was permanently put out of the market. I will never buy the 2024 at these prices. Screw toyota
They are still better built in Mexico than the rest of the cheap ugly domestic crap they build. The price is the issue. Not where they are built. Mexico has been building tacomas for a long while now.
Toyota will not go back to the naturally aspirated V6 or V8 engines. The new CEO announced he wants to only make hybrid engines and phase out ICE engines across the board. The New Toyota CEO and Board Member’s are the problem. I hope all there vehicles Rot on the Lot. American car buyers don’t like when companies force overpriced vehicles onto their loyal customers and do the opposite of what customers actually want to buy. Toyota expects American car and truck enthusiasts will just blindly buy it and shut up. Americans do NOT want all hybrid/turbo engines. We do not want to pay 50K for a midsized base model Mexico built truck or SUV. Toyota needs to feel the pressure of its customers not buying their vehicles. DO NOT BUY THE NEW TOYOTA TRUCKS OR SUV’S.
Nothing wrong with using induction but they need to overbuild things like in the past. Like using frame mounted bump stops. using a dedicated trans intercooler and beefing up the diffs. The reason the shocks are busting into the wheel wells and the diffs are overheating with trans failures is the entire mess is under built. Yota expects the owner to crawl malls and nothing else. They also have real issues with QC from their suppliers. Yota has completely lost their way. Like a restaurant that builds a good reputation over many years and lose all in a matter of weeks if a new owner fails to keep the same quality. Yota will soon see how easy it is to lose their reputation for quality. And its brutal gaining that trust back. Perception is a bitch.
I really can’t badmouth the four-cylinder turbo. GM designed the 2.7 turbo max based on using diesel specs to build a super durable motor. It’s been in the Sierra for six years and it’s been in the Colorado now for two years. There are no recalls other than an electronic issue. It’s a super reliable and durable turbo engine. The thing is Toyota isn’t building reliability anymore. And they’re charging too much based on their legendary Liability, which is gone now. That’s the problem.
@@robertedwards3822 I saw that tear down on the 2.7T with an engineer going over that. What impressed me was how the inter-cooler keeps working on the turbo after you have a sudden stop at speeds back to idle where the turbo will normally heat up. GM had a ton of issues with the 8 speed but after working on it for 8 years its rock solid. At this point GM/Nissan is the way to go. GM's setup has less complexity without having all the extra hybrid/battery crap. And they pump out way more torque then the base 2.4 Yota motor. I also like the Ford but not a fan of the front end. And there is the question of QC with Ford. Crazy as it may be the Toyota is the weakest in the segment considering all the issues with the new TNGA platform and that it's does not have competitive price points. Yota will see that you can only rely on the "toyota tax" to a point. Only the biggest fanbois will continue to drink the Koolaid.
Picking up my new 2024 4Runner ORP this week. Hope to keep it for 20 years. Peak Toyota. You are 100% correct. No one wants a turbo 4 from Mexico, especially at those inflated prices. We’re not stupid.
I initially was looking to give my 2013 Tacoma to my oldest niece and go pick up a new Tacoma, until I saw the price and the fact that it has a 4 cylinder turbo engine instead of the classic six cylinder. Now I'm keeping my truck while I start looking into other brands since Toyota's 4 cylinder decision at that price point is pretty questionable.
My 1996 Ford F-150 with its 5.4L triton motor with 277,000 miles on it still runs like a champ and if and when the motor finally does die ill just rebuild it and save 50k
I've never paid over $400 a month for a truck and never will. If you make less than $80,000 a year and pay more than $400 a month for a vehicle more than likely you will have a poor retirement and you're on the verge of losing your home and filing for bankruptcy. Most people that pay over $400 a month get their vehicles repossessed anyway.
The rule is 10% of your take home. Plus I'm planning to keep my 3rd Gen for a long time. The problem is most people keep trading and getting the newest car every 5 yrs or 100k miles.
@@theinfinitymachine9610 The problem is most vehicles these days are not worth keeping after 5 years. Maybe there's some exceptions to vehicles without turbos and direct injection. I know people that are under 40 years old and they pay over $700 a month for a damn vehicle in they barely make $60,000 a year.
It’s price. I was all excited to get one when turning in my 2021 TRD Off Road Premium. 2024 specced exactly the same is over $10,000 more expensive only 3 years later. Got a 2024 Nissan Frontier Pro4X instead for only $2,000 more than I paid for my 2021 Tacoma and with way more features.
How do you like it? I have a TRD Sport I was going to trade in and decided to put in a few grand for a tune-up, new brakes, tires, and drain and fill on the transmission/differentials. Waiting to see what will happen in 6 months to a year.
I like your attention to detail. I'm the same way. When I noticed the tailgate on my GMC Yukon SLT was not equally aligned when comparing the left and right side, I became annoyed and asked the dealer about it. I also noticed a very obvious lack of door tension when opening the Left rear door. I brought it up with the service department and they did not offer any logical explanation of why all four of the doors should not feel and sound the same when you pull them open. When I read the window sticker, most of the vehicle was assembled in Mexico. I guess it's just a mexico factory issue.
They tried to make a "Tacundra" & totally missed the mark. I drove a Tacoma & was waiting for the new ones. When I saw the price compared to the Tundra I bought the Tundra & I LOVE IT!
The 4 cylinder engine, suspension issues like "bump stops" that are not on the frame, price, build quality, etc. We love our 5th generation 4runner and plan to trade the Jeep and buy another 5th generation 4runner. If it was not broken, why did Toyota touch it?
I am so done owning nice automobiles the Public cannot keep their hands off of something nice through jealousy scratching and door dings. I’m over it. Gonna run beeters from now on.
I tried that before buying my new a few years ago. The used car market, particularly trucks, is miserable. They want top dollar for even the shittiest turd of a used truck.
anyone buying a Tacoma from that dealership is an idiot. They have same trucks here in California with 5-10% for SR5 , TRD SPORT , TRD OFF ROAD , models .Really depends on the trim and how many options it has but I have several quotes from dealerships here in Southern California. Also , lol you keep saying "built in mexico" like its a bad thing you do know they started building Toyotas in MEXICO since 2002 and full production was in 2005? Nothing wrong with the truck looking forward to take delivery of a Trailhuter Tacoma later this month upon dealership delivery and Trail Hunter 4Runner next year.
@jeanclaude7018 "junk transmission" all the videos I've seen of people overheating transmission and damaging suspension/driveline components was from hard abuse. towing at max capacity up a huge dirt hill or smashing huge pothole and ruts is not representative of 95% of how people are driving these trucks. abuse is abuse no mater how you slice it.
Another reason buyers are choosing the Frontier over Tacoma is because Nissan is still using the naturally-aspirated V6 engine that has the promise of a much longer engine life. Toyota's turbocharged 4 cylinder will wear out much sooner than what consumers might expect of a Toyota.
I bought one of the last 23’s on purpose because I absolutely did not want a turbo 4 cylinder. Nor did I want the giant screen inside. Nor did I want a new transmission on its first year. Nor did I want to pay 10 grand more for a bunch of stuff I didn’t want. Happy with my decision. No regrets.
You get the award for the most moronic comment of the day. Coming from a 3rd and 4th generation owner, the new model is improved. There is no difference between the 4cyl/turbo charged and V6. Both 178 HP. 4cyl actually has more torque. 2024 drives train is impeccable, it's better in gas, interior is improved, Technically is top notch.
I’ve been waiting years to buy a new Tacoma truck. I was planning on getting one end of this year or next. Waiting the extra year and they come out with a 4 cylinder that even Tacoma enthusiasts think is not worth the money. What a let down. I’ve spent the last month looking at Nissan, Chevy, and ford midsize. What the hell was Toyota thinking.
i got the truck in june and i hooked up a trailer once and now im getting what others call "ghost trailer"bug. the truck thinks im pulling a trailer when im not and all rear sensors do not work . dash also keeps displaying a trailer message that wont go away . the dealership is also charging me almost $300 for diagnosis and $700 just to see if rear bumper needs to be realigned. nothing seems to falls under warranty . truck as been to the dealership service twice now an still no fix
Totally agree. I'm keeping my 2020 4runner TRD Off Road that I have owned since new. Toyota lost me as a future customer unless they bring back the V6.
That dealer is greasing people hard on PPF and tint. Wow. Also, as an owner of a 24 TRD Offroad with almost 10,000 km's on it now, it is hands down better that the old generation. It's more comfortable, has more power and gets way better economy. Only real complaint so far is the suspension is too soft which we are fixing ourselves with a lift.
My 19 TRD Sport was 38k out the door… I recently went to my dealer to check out the 24’s, and my jaw dropped at the prices….. I didn’t see ONE TRD Sport under 50….. insane. And yes…. I still have my 19.
Regarding the tailgate alignment, their tailgates actually have a little bit of end play built into them so they can move from side to side just a little bit as the bed flexes. I imagine all trucks do this. You can actually grab the tail gate and move it back and fourth a few 32nds of an inch.
Agree 100%. Kicking myself for not buying last generation new. Now the new ones have dragged up the used values to ridiculous levels. Toyota built a fancy baby Tundra when people just want a reliable basic midsize truck.
By downsizing their truck engines, the costs to build it are now far less than what it was, and yet they are selling it for a whole lot more. Customers have caught up with their greed and are now retaliating. Bring back common sense by bringing back the V6 for Tacomas and V8 for the Tundras.
I’m getting a Nissan I wasted 4 years waiting on the redesign Tacoma don’t want a 4 cylinder turbo and that price isn’t good at all! Nissan is the way to go.
The prices are insane no thanks. I'm not a Nissan truck guy but at least they were smart and kept the v6 in the Frontier and did a nice job on the redesign and it's less than the Tacoma.
Toyota fan boy here. My 2012 Sienna lasted more than 250K miles. The only issue I had was the brake pads, I would go over a new rotor/pads once a year, while driving only in the city 2K miles/month/avg. Toyota effed up BIG with the new outgoing Tundras, Tacomas and Siennas, with its new turbo/hybrid/transmissions systems. But the biggest insult is pricing these vehicles crazy expensive making it unaffordable for the middle class american family. Toyota can keep them. Let them rot in the dealer's lots.
The only real midsized work truck left on the market is the 2024 Nissan Frontier S - King Cab stickered at $36,800 and is, 4x4, naturally aspirated V6, S Utility Package (spray-in bed liner with outlets in the bed and rear center console), tow package, splash guards, and all weather mats. The SV version of this is $5K more if you want heated seats, steering wheel, and mirrors, a remote starter, dual zone climate control, utility track and lighting in the bed, fog lights, along with some other creature comforts. But $36K MSRP is not terrible given what the rest of the midsized truck segment morphed into.
All good points minus the turbo 4cly bits. You guys are acting like NA V6 is a V8. I know Toyota has a lot of you about a decade behind the rest of the world for tech and performance, but time to move on. The only V6 that matters is one that comes with twin turbos. These new turbo 4s are built for boost and torque. They aren't NA 4-cylinders with turbo strapped on as an afterthought. The old V6's reliability wasn't because Toyota made it bulletproof, but because it was so underwhelming in performance, you could probably go 100k miles without oil change. If underwhelming performance is your jam, to each their own. Stay on top of oil changes, and you have the same reliable vehicle, just more capable and fun. But yes, Toyota is out of their mind with the prices as well as packages. They REALLY let you know you didn't opt for the $8800 premium package. Stepping into a $47k Tacoma TRD-Offroad shouldn't give you the same feeling as if you just sat in a "Work Truck" trim, but it does. TRD Off Road with hybrid motor and premium package is $60k. That's Ranger Raptor and ZR2 Bison territory without being anywhere in the realm of their performance.
I've always had a Tacoma. I bought a 23 because i heard about the turbo 4 cylinder. I wanted nothing to do with it. Dealer wanted to mark it up. I was prepared to walk and go to another dealership. I ended up not paying for the markups. I think this one will last long enough for Toyota to come back to reality.
I was an over twenty-year Toyota truck owner both Tacoma and Tundra and I needed the size when I was young to haul and tow heavy loads. My Wife was always afraid to drive the big trucks at least for a small woman it was big and when I was gone it was an issue. We are 75 years young and felt we needed something she could drive and we don't haul or tow heavy loads. We looked at the new Tacomas first then we looked and drove everything else in mid-size pickup and the Ridgeline she just loved since it drove like a car. We bought the 2024 Ridgeline Black Edition and so far love it. I was one of those guys that always put down the "toy trucks" but now I am a believer at the stage of my life. I always thought the tailgate opening was a gimmick but it is one of the best features and we use it more than the other drop down opening. Toyota has gotten arrogant and complacent with their customers and this is more proof if you ever needed any. IMHO
@jeanclaude7018 some folks are stuck in the idea Toyotas are the only way to go, but it is no longer the truth. Sadly Nissan has a bad reputation because of the CVTs and peole don't understand it does not apply to their trucks... Also...many "influencers" make a great service disinformating people for money.
I had a 2004 Tacoma that I sold in 2022 for 8 grand, then I bought a new 2022, Tacoma the same day, six months later, I was driving my 2001 Tacoma and got hit by a drunk driver, Full coverage insurance paid off that truck for $ 12, 300 and I bought a 2021 Tacoma two weeks later, Now my local dealership keeps asking to buy both my trucks back every week , I wonder why ???
I was one of those loyal Toyota customers. My first car was a celica with a manual transmission. I've had several tacomas and I currently have a 2021 4runner. 50K+ dollars fir a 4 cylinder truck with a bad transmission a bad shock tower, quality problems. Forget about it.
This dealership adding AMV is stupidity. If they aren’t selling at sticker prices, they aren’t going to sell marked up. Sorry it’s basic economics about supply and demand.
My view. People were drawn to a Tacoma for: Price, reliability, resale value and V6 motor and that`s why they WHERE number the #1 mid-size truck. Now, when you go through your normal check off list why you should buy that vehicle those blocks are left empty. There is another vehicle manufacture Dodge, /Chrysler/jeep/ram that already did what Toyota is doing and what happened? That other company sales were from people that had a higher bring home income so sales didn`t slow down for a while. Now that income bracket has dried up on them and sales are plummeting. Which now how the sales of Tacoma get smaller
Okay, I’m totally confused here! Why are all the current Tacoma fourth gen owners and Tacoma fourth gen fan- flunkies praising and sticking up for this new Tacoma and constantly belittling people that point out all the bad traits of this new platform?! 🤷♂️. I actually traded in my 23 Tacoma Trail Edition for a 24 Frontier Pro-X. It's probably not as reliable overall, but I like the way it drives much better. Plus I got $39k with 15k miles trade in for a truck that cost me $43k and purchased the Frontier Pro-X for $34k. Lol, worked out pretty good.
GMC Canyons sticker prices are around $54,000 for a 2 wheel drive elevation 4 cylinder. I came from a new Nissan Frontier into a new Tacoma because the Nissan had a ton of issues.

I am not complaining but just let you know the turbo need lots of care ! It could still last 200 k miles ! That’s why I bought the last year V6 Tacoma TRD off road, 4x4 ! 😊
The price is a huge issue. But the quality issues are going to kill them. Toyotas high quality is what us Toyota fans want. That's what they are known for.

I own a 2022 Toyota Tacoma SR5 V6 Barcelona Red made in Mexico (I bought it brand new) and I love it! I lucked out in being able to buy it (it was covid and there were no new trucks on the lots), I was at the right place at the right time. It's a great truck. No problems with it. It runs great has enough power to go on freeways, and in the city driving. It's my work horse. Best of all it fits in my garage. I can't say enough good things about my Toyota Tacoma. Personally I don't like the little turbo engine "modern" current trend on 2024 and later models. I wish I had bought a Toyota Tacoma years ago.

You can get a full size Ram or Ford truck for that price. May not be the top of the line model, but its a full size truck and then you have the Ranger and Colorado a lot less priced. Think I would go with a Frontier if I were buying today.
If Toyota would’ve put a revamped 4.0 v6 in this truck. They wouldn’t be able to keep them on the lots! The 4 cyl turbo is not bad. But why can’t these manufacturers have more than 1 engine choice? Stupid if you ask me

Much higher build quality then the crap coming out of Yota's baja plant and the other POS plant they got down south.
EXACTLY
Great choice. 👍🏻
Nissan definitely not a Toyota. Hate the name Nissan.
You are 💯 correct! Only fools buy the new Tundra or new Tacoma. They deserve to lose money at this point.
I just leased a 4x4 Tacoma for a one payment lease for 24 months $7500. Nice little truck to throw around for a low price.
Well, there are more dumb people than smart people. 90% of the population are dumb. So, they are still buying regardless.
Maybe this will be a HARD lesson to NOT mess with a good thing by keeping to their classic formula of lower priced, high reliability platforms.
On a more serious note:
1. internal bump stops with cheapo cast aluminum top hat (shocks are busting into the wheel wells lol)
2. No dedicated trans intercooler (rear differentials are overheating)
3. Box frame is thinned out too much in sections (hello rust and more tacos breaking in half lol)
4. Back seat is worst in class and completely unusable on TRD pro.
Also some issues with shifting in the transmission itself. It's just so much issues that they could resolve in a few yrs. But that price tag? No way.
You summed it up perfectly. What a shame, really.
I'll stick to my 22 Frontier
I’ve always been a Toyota fan. Until the new tundras and tacomas .. over priced junk in my opinion. I’d buy a Ford over a Toyota now. And I hate saying that. But it is what it is
Lol........Now that's worse than a Toyota for sure!!
Let’s not get carried away 😂
You lost me at Ford
I still couldn't do a Ford lol.. but even a Nissan doesn't sound so bad now. Toyota jacked up the price massively while outsourcing more manufacturing than ever to Mexico where they pay workers like 2.25 an hour. You get what you pay for. A worker making $2 an hour putting together a truck they could never afford themselves isn't going to take pride in it or it's quality. That's why Henry Ford thought it was important his workers made enough to afford the cars they were building.
Now your losing it....Ford is worser than ever!!
I wasn't even willing to pay $40k on the last model. I always wanted a tacoma but when the prices went over $40k I was permanently put out of the market. I will never buy the 2024 at these prices. Screw toyota
Money isn't worth anything anymore. I think the starting price was 35k. I paid 43k with taxes on my 22 TRD Sport w lift and tires.
People are just scared of the 1st and 2nd years of the new gen... the turbo 4 is actually super nice
Yup. I’ll just keep my Texas built 2019 V-6 manual transmission 4x4 Sport.
They are still better built in Mexico than the rest of the cheap ugly domestic crap they build. The price is the issue. Not where they are built. Mexico has been building tacomas for a long while now.
This truck should be selling for $20k. Don't forget my bump stops, please!
Maybe at the Facebook marketplace. No new compact truck is selling for 20k anymore.
@@brokeboy87 Because people are dumb enough to pay more.
I don't know about 20k. Maybe starting 35k on up to 50k for the PRO. How it used to be. The dollar isn't worth what it was.
@@HiPlains1 Nailed it.
So dumb. EPA standards are forcing all manufacturers to smaller engines
Turbo 4-cylinder junk
I've never paid over $400 a month for a truck and never will. If you make less than $80,000 a year and pay more than $400 a month for a vehicle more than likely you will have a poor retirement and you're on the verge of losing your home and filing for bankruptcy. Most people that pay over $400 a month get their vehicles repossessed anyway.
If you can't pay cash for your ride, you are living beyond your means.
@jamesm568 it depends where you make the 60k. 60k in west Texas is like 120k in LA 😂😂😂
I never pay more than 1 cent for a truck. If you can’t afford something, don’t buy it. I saved for years and bought my 2023 TRD Sport with cash
I don’t see very many of them on the road here in Louisiana. i had a 06 and loved it. there’s no way I’d spend that much money on the new one.
I like EVERYTHING you say about new vehicles. Thank you for standing up and putting out truth!
Very happy with my new 2024 Frontier fully loaded. $50.000 Canadian = $37.000 US. Hello from Vancouver Canada.
The 4 cylinder engine, suspension issues like "bump stops" that are not on the frame, price, build quality, etc. We love our 5th generation 4runner and plan to trade the Jeep and buy another 5th generation 4runner. If it was not broken, why did Toyota touch it?
Corporate greed
24 SR cost what a loaded SR5 in the 3rd gen. Nope.
@@joemontayna9548 that’s a fact they won’t almost as much as the new ones it’s fucking crazy
anyone buying a Tacoma from that dealership is an idiot.
@jeanclaude7018 tell me what new refreshed model car or truck that has NO recalls?
@jeanclaude7018 still waiting on that list Jeany.....
@jeanclaude7018 only one dodging the questions here is you still haven't produced a vehicle that has been refreshed with NO issues.....
@jeanclaude7018 ill keep you posted when I take delivery of both my TRAILHUNTER TACOMA and 4RUNNER.
$66k for a 4 banger?!!! Hard NO for me. Not more than $40k.
I'll stick with my 1999 1st generation 2 door V-6 extra-cab.
If Toyota brought back the 1st generation, as it was, they'd sell them all.
I got a used 2021 Nissan Frontier Pro 4X, and I absolutely love it. They can keep the taco
I'm going to keep my 2018 with a 2.7 at least it's reliable.

Part of the problem are dealers mark up.
Not to sound rude, but when you show us the window sticker can you hold the camera steady?
i got the truck in june and i hooked up a trailer once and now im getting what others call "ghost trailer"bug. the truck thinks im pulling a trailer when im not and all rear sensors do not work . dash also keeps displaying a trailer message that wont go away . the dealership is also charging me almost $300 for diagnosis and $700 just to see if rear bumper needs to be realigned. nothing seems to falls under warranty . truck as been to the dealership service twice now an still no fix
If your truck is brand new, everything falls under warranty what do you mean they are charging you? Can you elaborate?
I am buying one just because he’s built to Mexico because I’m Mexican. Thank you very much.
I do remember when $60,000 could have bought you a High Country Silverado 2015. Now just seeing it on mid size trucks is very funny lol
I got one six months ago and I love it, my 2016 was good but this one is much better, much more power with the turbo.
The prices are insane no thanks. I'm not a Nissan truck guy but at least they were smart and kept the v6 in the Frontier and did a nice job on the redesign and it's less than the Tacoma.
Can you let me know what dealers are offering so much extra money for the 3rd gens? I don't seem to see them anywhere
This is fact. So many Tacomas lined up at our local dealership. And not a Camry anywhere in sight. Might we be seeing a switch back to sedans?
2024 Tacoma 4cyls should be around 30K and people will consider buying it
I've always had a Tacoma.
IMHO
I had 3 tacomas honestly i think i will go for ranger or Colorado if im in market
Don't care how crappy the new tacoma is...will never buy a ranger or colorado...

That’s just about what I paid for a low optioned Ram 2500 tradesmen with Cummins. A tow beast
🤷♂️. Test drive ANY fourth generation Tacoma with an open mind and WITHOUT wearing rose colored glasses to see for yourself that this new Tacoma is all hype and not even in the slightest, equal and/or better than the previous generation Toyota Tacoma!😳

Didn't the EU and California force the auto manufacturers to downside to 4 cylinder turbos?
The price is a huge issue. But the quality issues are going to kill them. Toyotas high quality is what us Toyota fans want. That's what they are known for.
Because I can buy a fullsize 1-2 years old, same gas mileage, better towing, better hauling, need I keep going?
I traded in my 17 limited 4 x 4 for a 23 off-road for $44,000. That was loaded too. I can’t even get a well equipped 24 SR5 for that price.

Ditto on it all. In 2022 A I bought a brand new Sr5 6 cyl 4wd. Always owned a Ford Ranger. But when they went 4cyl turbo, and wanted more money than the tacoma that was a deal breaker for me, the 4 cyl being the bigger part of it.
