Why PS5 Is Succesful Without "True" Exclusive Games by Mystic
@LadyDecade you said in your video we don’t want this. A new Xbox console has been confirmed, that it’s unnecessary for Microsoft to reveal a new machine but now you’re saying a few videos later that’s what they need to reveal, new hardware.
All Xbox have to do is show a few new games we haven’t seen but no are in the works like Gears 6 and maybe Perfect Dark, and some gameplay from Fable and a few other games, oh and more back compat titles.
You are Xbox fan the question is Microsoft will destroy Xbox in name and be Microsoft games and Xbox fire and destroy studios

I doubt it will be as simple as people think. Xbox doesn't run the same Windows OS your PC runs, the OS Steam games are made to work with. Xbox's OS is based on Windows, but it is very heavily customized.
Either Microsoft will have to spend years designing the Xbox OS to run Steam games just like a Windows PC. Or PC developers will have to go back and patch their games to work with whatever this new version of the Xbox OS would be.
Not saying it's impossible. Far from that, in fact. I'm just saying it isn't as cut and dry as some people are pretending it is.
But I do wonder what would be the point. Xbox sells consoles so they can make money on game sales. If people are playing Steam games on their Xbox console, then Xbox isn't getting any money from that. If Xbox just becomes a weak PC, then why sell it at such a low price?
Neither side has time to destroy the other. They are too busy destroying themselves. Meanwhile Nintendo are off in their corner doing their own thing and preparing to own the competition. Unless they are repeating the Wii U generation.
Yet Nintendo still has woketards working for them in Japan and the US. The fall for the big N is coming too.

Nintendo has a very inconsistent history, so it's really hard to predict where they'll be in 10 or even 5 years. They have generally had consistent success with their portables, so if they can continue down that direction then they might avoid another major flop like they saw in their home consoles.
Not console warring here, but playstion 5 era is now the most profitable generation for Sony. Highest was pS4 era with 110 billion profit for its lifetime till date. PS5 has made that same amount 4 years into this generation,do not follow internet talk, Companies are making insane cash. Cheers!

The main takeaway from GDC wasn't the announcements, it was the fact that game developers walked away saying "Why are we still developing for Microsoft?"...
I will never understand why so many people didn't use the 3D function on 3DS. I used it every time I played. I didn't see the point in turning it off.
It’s interesting people are defending Sony and Xbox knowing they discount creativity and innovation for cost efficiency. They keep rehashing the same ideas expecting us to buy them over and over again; if it’s not a Souls like, or final fantasy like, or overwatch like or COD like, it’s not going to be pushed by a AAA. One thing I always think about with Sony is that they have so many IPs they own especially PS1 games that they could bring back and remaster or continue. So many ps1 games I loved were published by Sony and were great games and they never made another one.

Sony should use their old Ps1 IP’s and remake them, there are a lot of hidden gems either the japanese exclusives or the western ones, since they had an eight year start ahead of xbox.

I only turned off the 3D effect on 3DS when I was curious how it looked it "flat mode" and instantly went back to glorious 3D!

The Playstation game that I was most excited for before State of Play was Wolverine. After State of Play, that hasn't changed, but I was disappointed to not see more of it.

And I'm playing Bloodborne -chalice dungeons with my morning coffee on my ps4 since I got laid off. Now this shit is my morning ritual before I have to mown the LAWN. Not just touch it. Maybe I was too hard on the chalice dungeons back in the day... Still today a kickass game.

Great video! I’d love to see Xbox do Steel Battalion 2 with a new revamped huge controller. Ludacris, I know, but if marketed correctly, it would generate a lot of buzz. Tie in a new VR headset and support and you might be onto something. Or possibly a new game like Psychonauts 3.

Honestly right, they have the weakest hardware and yet they have put out the most games that have passion and fun behind them.
Xbox just needs Fallout 1 and 2 remakes. I remember the way I could win with totally different ways of diplomacy. One time guns blazing and another time getting gangs fighting each other by talking to them.
100 percent backwards compatibility. Impossible due to license issues? No. If you have the disc you have the license to play it. Bring back custom soundtracks. Let people use Xbox 360 accessories on Xbox One and Xbox series consoles. Put a GOG store on the Xbox. Who wouldnt want to play some old DOS games once in a while? Pro consumer moves can go a long way.
Backward compatibility hardware might be a challenge but you can already play a lot of Xbox one games and most of 360 and all of Xbox one...

Everyone has forgot about Monster Hunter apparently. One of the best series in the world(not most profitable of popular best like in most game for your money).
The console winner will be decided by the 1st platform to implement Steam support with a larger variety of mouse and keyboard configuration updates...
and make a deal with EA to bring Xbox or PS1 and PS2 games to the physical backwards compatibility list.
(That's a lot of sports and EA BIG series games plus the legendary Medal Of Honor and The Lord Of The Rings Games.)
Although I think Microsoft has already destroyed PlayStation, because the backwards compatibility disc list is larger, Sony is 1 playable PS1 and PS2 disc update away from victory.
I would love an Xbox Home/Handheld Hybrid Console. I bet it could be possible to play Xbox Games Docked on a TV & in Handheld mode on the go using one such gaming machine with at least last Gen hardware inside bits & pieces
It's sad being old enough to remember the huge impact the playstation had when it came out. Gaming wasn't mainstream like it is now, it was more than preserve of nerds ...
They were an absolute breath of fresh air, they made it worth playing for all and they made it cool. Now though? Absolutely missing the point... Sony always the bridesmaid... Should have owned the iPod industry given they are experts at small electrical devices and own music and films.... Should have won the betamax/VHS war... Pushed for blue ray to force everyone to rebuy their dvds whilst everyone else moved to online streaming.... It's like they have no idea what people want... They just look for money and start there and work backwards... Rather than looking for what people want then do it properly

I am a all console lover. Every platform has its ups and downs. But considering the state of the gaming industry at the moment i think Nintendo is the one that is winning the most over Xbox and Playstation. Because Playstation and Xbox just dont listen to their consumers. They keep up going with their shit show. I have a feeling they get just to much DEI money at a back door that out-profits the consumer loss. Because a capitalistic company would do what gives them the most profit. Its simple as that. And i do have a Xbox Series X. I did buy it with the future of Xbox in mind. Because of games like the new Fable and the New Elder Scrolls game who are only releasing on Xbox.

I absolutely loved the 3d on my 3DS. Never turned it off. I got the 2nd generation that had really good 3d but I never turned it off. The 3DS is one of my top 5 favorite game sysrems ever. Love the channel. 👍

PlayStation has already came out with Helldivers 2, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Final Fantasy Rebirth, Rise of the Ronin, and Stellar Blade. 5 absolutely banger games with only 1 having modest microtransactions. Also they did a good remaster of The Last of Us part 2 with a new mode. How the hell would xbox catch up before the year is over? Do you mean rest of the year?

Microsoft has now realized that they have lost in the console war. plus not forgettin Nintendo and PlayStation will always be better than Xbox. I hope Phil Spencer gets fired. Xbox has destroyed itself.
To be fair to Sony, you have to remember that Microsoft released no big first party games for all of 2022. Sony is going through that now.
That being said though, this year's Xbox summer event is reported to be the biggest one they have yet. Games which are pretty much guaranteed to be unveiled includes STALKER 2, this year's Call of Duty, Indiana Jones, Avowed, Doom Zero, and the Shattered Space DLC for Starfield. Rumours include at least one game drop for the show, with one such possibility being the Marcus Fenix collection (Gears of War 1-3 redone in Unreal Engine 5), and news of all previous Call of Duty games landing in Game Pass, with the first few released on the day of the show. Possible new game announcements include Gears of War 6, Forza Horizon 6 (in Tokyo and other parts of Japan), and a remastered or remade Oblivion. New details on previous announced games such as Contraband, Perfect Dark, Fable, South of Midnight, and Kiln are also possible.
There are also rumours of Microsoft unveiling their own handheld gaming unit, and/or details on a new version of Windows just for handheld PCs which provides more of a console interface, as well as partnerships with other PC manufacturers to create their own entries.
I honestly don't see Microsoft overtaking Sony this generation. But all of the above will do a lot to move Xbox systems in the coming months. In the US, a Black Friday deal for a Series S with 3 months of Game Pass for $199 would likely do very well. Especially if it has Call of Duty featured on the box. This Christmas will likely be both Xbox's best ever and PlayStation's worst ever for game releases, and that will very likely close the gap. Microsoft's Xbox division is already seeing much higher profits than Sony's PlayStation, and the next 7 months will likely only increase that by more than a little. Sony will be very unlikely to lose the total console sales this generation, but the difference will only shrink unless both companies' fortunes flip drastically. And frankly, I don't see that happening.

PC Building Has Been A Bigger Trend Than Console this Generation. PC Rigs have 3 tiers. Budget, Mid Range And Elite. And All 3 will output actual high fps and obviously better graphics depending on the game. If the consoles were to have exclusive then there will be a high surge in sales.
To be honest PC gaming is fun and cheaper, but I miss having a physical format collection. Which I'm switching back to, at the end of the year when PS5 pro comes out.

I don't think it's a big deal really. It was a state of play, not a showcase. People see live service and flip out, and then hop of Helldivers II 🙄 I think gamers are too picky these days.
We just don't want to invest in a live service that's gonna drop in a year, I get it. But ya know, we really can't fault em for this sort of thing.
With all the not listening to the players and pushing the microtransactions / games as a service you'd think they'd attempt to negotiate a way to give players closer to want they'd actually want.
So suppose we go for the game needs to make £X to be worth making, then we could look at this as a "Would the players be interested in a less polished but cheaper to produce version?" question. Going by the number of people who go to indie games or emulation rather than playing "modern" games I think that this could be more sensible for the developer and players. As opposed to the current "How do we find a way to make the player pay more for the current experience?".
Sony wants Concord to be their Overwatch AND their Guardians of the Galaxy, but fail to understand the draw of either of those properties as well as the skill behind their creations, respectively. Sony just saw them and said "I want that" and paid some poor developer to risk their future existence on its eternal success.

Nah, they really want the Xbox fan base to get hyped, they need more blizzard games on Xbox. They showed us they can bring RTS games like AOE on console and feel great. I'd love playing star craft with a controller again (star craft 64 anyone...) or bring WoW to console 🤯

When you try to please everyone you end up pleasing nobody. That's what's happening with both Sony and Microsoft right now. They have spent so much money and so much time on each game that in the quest to minimize failure of each game they try and tick all of those corporate boxes. Until we see these companies realize it's OK to have teams of only a dozen or so people work on games that are smaller and simpler to play, for example, this is only going to get worse. It's why the indie scene on PC is thriving.
Maybe we are just getting burned out with digital dopamine releases? Maybe looking for something more adult and exciting? I wager you can be a good wife and mother and still find unique experiences. You just need to take risks and step outside our comfort zone. We can’t keep doing the same safe things and expect new experiences. Now can we? 🤔
