I was terminated by Pocono Motor Freight on day 9 of my employment with them. Pocono Motor Freight forced me to run 2/8,3/7 split logs every working day that I was with them. Their Split Sleeper scheme ran me into the ground & I ended up taking more time on the 2 or 3 hour portion of the splits. So. They fired me. If you ask Pocono, they might say “It’s legal.” I don’t give a rats ass if it is legal. Running Split Sleeper 5 days a week is dangerous. It is going to get somebody killed. Split Sleeper never allows a driver to get 8 hours of sleep which leads to Sleep Deficit.

Well then the fmcsa needs to either come down on shippers and receivers that or increase detention pay to more then a $150. Detention pay is a joke. Should be more like $500. Maybe if they are afraid to get that charge they will load and unload faster. Meaning we will be one the road more to make more money.
Between shippers and receivers and brokers it's amazing we can make any money at all

This guy talks and talks and talks, and then you forget exactly what it was he was talking about. Doesn't teach about how to use the Split Sleeper Break.
