From napoleon dynamite syndrome to the era of nose job regret. Plastic surgery positivity that is more problematic that positive, the rise of the barbie nose job and the nose job victims who’s noses are on the brink of collapse and the girlies who’s noses are falling off… welcome to the war or the noses.
Nose jobs are the 2nd most popular plastic surgery in the world, and it’s no wonder. Your nose is pretty prominent. It literally protrudes from your face. And when you’re being bombarded with the message that the ONLY nose that’s socially acceptable is the cute little upturned barbie nose - but you don’t have that? It can make your self esteem plummet. But whilst some nose jobs are a great success and make the patient feel better - an awful lot go wrong. From nose job regret, to multiple nose job surgeries, botched procedures and subsequent problems with breathing and sense of smell - we need to really stop normalising what is in actual fact, a very invasive procedure.

Gone are the days when noses were not an aesthetic but an actual body part that helped us breathe!!!

I dislike the "as long as they're happy" response. Happiness is fleeting. What will make you happy one day can change the next day. Also, the barbie nose just gives me whoville vibes and borderline uncanny valley

And having something you've been insecure about your whole life being corrected CAN benefit you for the rest of your life.
@@designateddoser7651 What a dumbass comparison. I've had a nosejob to remove a bump a few years ago. Only plastic surgery I ever underwent. Are you saying that means I fall into the same category of people with a genuine mental illness. To say that those people are 'happy' is insane.
It breaks my heart to see people crying over having changed their faces. It's so linked to your identity, it's such a painful thing to regret
My heart really breaks for them.
If you think people crying regretting getting their nose changed is bad now imagine on a grander scale like changing your whole body and identity like tra*cough*erism. Who do you think is second to men when it comes to unsubscribing to life.
the worst part about the Cindy Kimberly nose trend is that Cindy herself has had a nose job, it's just an echo chamber of insecurity.

No offense to people who didn't see that, but I thought it was quite obvious. I will go out on a limb and say no one is born with a nose as "nicely" shaped and symmetrical as hers. That applies to her too.

I fear that if I ever changed anything, I'd regret it just like that, and I would be disappointed in myself hard. I'm 15 and you have no idea how much this video is meaning to me, since i was 14 i remember begging and crying to mom to get me a nose job or to just put something in my nose to curve it upwards, i was so hideous about my nose, even posing in photos hiding it. Eventually found out my chin was a little too much behind my whole face so i began to do therapy for it and it was the best decission i've ever done, not only is that my nose looks more fitting to my face, it is the fact that i learned to ACCEPT and work on my self-esteem, and i was never the type of girl that got easily swayed by trends or beauty standards, but the simple fact that everyone makes it seem okay and something you MUST do to look prettier, it destroyed me.
Thank you Steph
You won't even see your real, full adult face until you're about 30. Unless you have a structural issue or accident damage, do yourself a favor and leave it alone. x
I bet your nose looks fine to everyone else and there's nothing to worry about. Believe it or not, but for a successful long term relationship it's your personality that counts, not the shape of your nose or other physical attributes
When I was 15 (I'm now 33) this kind of nose was not a thing. Believe me, I was called "pig nose" so often for having the tip of my nose up (naturally) and I was sooo traumatised! And than, all of sudden, it's a thing. As you said, it's just a trend. Don't fall for it! Love yourself the way you are, show this to others and they will see and appreciate! And hopefully, as Stefanie, you can influence your friends to love themselves as well. ❤ teenagerhood is bloody difficult, but it will get better.
Hey, I'm going through something similar rn where at first I thought it was my nose that was too big but then realised my chin had been slighlty far back compared to the rest of my face. God no, filler in the nose is such a bad idea to promote. It’s such a tight space, placement is super tricky. It’s so easy to block vessels and people get necrosis from it. Just no.
Also filler migrates so it will even out, make your nose bigger, and you have to get more to "fix" that -- meaning it will just even out & get bigger again
I feel like if you’re going to get filler in your nose, you might as well get a nose job.

Playing the sims made me never want to get a nosejob. Why? No matter how many times I adjusted the nose: it never looked good. I decided then an there that noses will never be beautiful, so no need to change a nose that is already ok.

I like this. Except I’d maybe change the perspective that the conclusion is no nose is good looking, to all noses are imperfect and that’s beautiful.
@@user-xr3ok6nm2o I agree that it's a nicer way to look at it, but there is a reason I call them "ok" at best. It's giving me room to say "This body part is actually not good looking." Sounds kinda counter intuitive, but it's making it so I can find something ugly, while still accepting that part for what it is. Saying something is imperfect, implies that it can be perfect. Just calling something ok at best, limits the possibility for it to ever be better than ok.

What gets me the most irritated when it comes to this topic is the way they make light of surgery. Surgery is scary, lots of bad things can happen; reactions to anaesthesia, infections, blood clots, nerve damage and more. As a cancer survivor I have had to undergo several surgeries, and it was terrifying, but if I didn't get them, I would die. So the idea of people, especially young people, being so insecure about their looks that they are CHOOSING to get surgery done, it's heart breaking. No one should be risking their life and your health for temporary beauty standards.
Exactly
Disobeying doctor's orders and getting too many surgeries is what killed Donda West aka Kanye West's mom
Exactly. Surgery is so scary, I would never do it for frivolous reasons. I'm grateful for emergency lifesaving surgery, like when my son's appendix ruptured, and many other similar situations of course. But it is always a risk.

Totally not worth it
Yeah I wouldn't promote that EITHER as an "alternative," that's my only critique of this video.
I saw a news story about a girl who went partially blind after getting filler in their nose. For sure not worth it.
Correct!! Never out filler in your nose!
Or cause blindness!
Blindness, as well. It's one of the most dangerous places to inject. A lot of practitioners won't even do it, although it is quite popular in Asia.
I have a receding chin and was a mouth breather as a child resulting in poor and almost nonexistent jawline... Yeah I need surgery to balance it out and I will get an apnea test done at one point too to verify that as well
You need jaw surgery, not plastic surgery, to fix the physical issue. (It will also fix the cosmetic issue.)
4:21 I remember reading a saying that’s something like this “Your features are there for a reason, all of them are meant to be in harmony with each other”, and I agree! Beauty is subjective true, but I think that the uniqueness of features are what enhances someone’s beauty. So sad that a lot of people esp younger and more impressionable individuals now think they have to “fix” their faces because of trends.
The most scary thing is that there is no undo button. What is done is done .
This is why encoueagement in your youth is so important. Simply telling your daughter/son how beautiful they are will do spades for their self esteem
My mom told me ALL the time how beautiful and pretty I was, it didn't help me at all bc I simply did not believe her lol.. Sometimes the self resentment is just too deeply rooted...
I tell my daughter every chance I get how beautiful she is too, hopefully it'll do more for her than it did for me though..

Don’t make their looks important, highlight other things that really matter.
Value things they actually have control over - kindness, personal integrity. Telling them they are pretty isn't going to help their self esteem.
Not really, once a person goes into the world and they witness they're not treated the same as other people who are more beautiful than themselves, they'll easily know they're not beautiful like you said. It actually might make things worse, instead tell them they may be ugly but thats okay.
I genuinely think that plastic surgery should be banned worlswide and it should be reviewed case by case basis, taking months or even years, unless it is aftually necessary. Because this is getting out of control.
But how would surgeons make billions of dollars off people with low self esteem then??😂

It’s so sad to see these girls crying over not being able to look good in a picture. Social media truly hurts people so much. It’s not worth it. Girls please don’t do these things to yourselves. No fake plastic nose is better than your unique natural one. I feel so bad for the Geordie Shore girls. I used to watch that show as a teen and I can barely recognize them. Charlotte, Marnie… what have they done? 😢
Not chronically watching TikTok and instagram reels helped me a lot. No matter how confident you’re if you bombard your brain with hundreds of images a day you’ll form insecurities.
What they also don't realize is how the camera, esp close up cell phone ones, exaggerate features, make youR nose seem bigger and more prominent! This then drives them to fix it or, can filters really change shapes of features?

I had a medical nose job in 2015, because I broke my nose as a child and now my septum had a 45° kink in it, which made breathing super difficult. the ENT surgeon asked me if I also wanted to have it changed „aesthetically“. I said no, he was absolutely flabberghasted why I would refuse a „cuter“ nose.
Yeah, my mother had a similar choice to make (she had polyps, benign tumours as far as I understand that blocked her breathing) and she decided to keep her nose shape. She does not have a “conventionally beautiful” nose. I’m really happy (as she is) that she kept her natural nose because it’s one of the characteristics that make her what she is
Something similar happened to me. I had a deviated septum and I had too much trouble breathing so I had surgery to correct it and they asked me if I wanted a nose job and I said no. After a few years I still have my bump and the septum is not completely straight but so much better and I can breath which is the most important part.
I’m having a medical rhinoplasty for a deviated septum soon, and I’m so grateful I went to a plastic surgeon that specializes in medical reconstructions. When I asked him not to change my nose shape, he gave me realistic expectation but accepted that I want minimal cosmetic changes.
I'm right there post surgery and I'm too scared to move forward
That is not a good surgeon. I literally had plastic surgery for aesthetics and my surgeon still didn't try to sell me on more procedures. He even did the opposite by stating, "you are NOT big, you don't need this, you don't need that," he totally could have encouraged me to have my thigh skin tightened, or stuff to my upper back. My nose is a bug Greek one. The list goes on for what a predatory surgeon could point out on me
2:22 “just more feminine” femininity isn’t defined by your nose shape but rather by your achievements and the role model your giving to younger girls sweetie!
You are such a queen, honestly your videos are my salvation. If it weren't for you I would have already had a nose job
I think the saddest part is how everyone is just morphing into the same person. Am 37, so not even that old in the grand scheme of things, and i remember teen mags from 20 yrs ago which would give tips on highlighting our own unique features. Eg. If you have deepset eyes, wear your eyeshadow like this...if you have xx face shape, wear your hair like that...etc.
I think the 2000s were pretty bad too. There was a lot of push to get boob job and be very skinny. That magazine advice you mentioned was not meant to highlight the wide set eyes or round face but to make it look more towards the norm. I was 18 in 2000. And wish I wouldn’t have been influenced by those beauty magazines which of course were not out to help me but were controlled by the greedy beauty industry.

Once they get into sloping a nose they always over do it! My nose looks great and I’m happy with it because it looks so natural!
That "barbie nose" is actually an example of a bad nose job... way too much cartilage taken out! Looks like a miss piggy nose.
I'm 16 and I've been called a pig multiple times because my nose is "too" turned up, so some people still think that. Even if an upturned nose is the ideal nowadays, people will always find something to criticize.

I read the comments as well, and the positive impact you make and echo always shines through
that young girl crying about her nose is devastating. luckily her doctor did actually do an amazing job and she looks super cute. good for her for sharing.
@@hairiseverythingoh wow it’s actually Gabbie! Tbh I was surprised to see her commenting here I thought she was like a legend that disappeared from RUclips to go live life.
It’s a shame I wasn’t a part of that era of RUclips
Noses give the face character. Mine is crooked and I wouldn’t change a thing 👃🏻
Me too! Proud of it!
Same here!
I agree, I have an Italian nose and it only ever bothers me if other people say rude things but I refuse to change who I am and proud to be unique!
I had a nose job after an accident. My surgeon sketched a nose shape that he felt would suit my face and asked my opinion. He didn't ask me if I wanted to have a celebrities nose shape that may have not suited my actual face. I always am thankful he's the surgeon the ER contacted after my accident.
Thank you for being such a positive light😊
I once asked my esthetician if she does hyaluronic acid nose injections. She denied and explained, that it’s a very dangerous area to work on and there are a lot of big blood vessels. There’s bunch of complications after such procedure
I heard it’s extremely painful too. I’ve had filler in other parts of my face but decided to pass on the nose. (Jawline around the ear felt the most pressure)
Im 29 amd been doing nose filler since i was 23. Its not painful and no complications
This is true. The area is considered a danger zone and you can cause blindness if not done correctly. It carries higher risk than standard cheek and lip filler.
i started getting filler nose injections 2 years ago, very very very tiny amount (not even a ml), 6/9 months between injections, i never experienced complications, i love my esthetician he always encourage his patients to take things slow with no rush and to focus on sigle tiny injections to prevent migrating filler. I recommend finding a professional that really is willing to do things slowly and mindfully
I hated my nose for years and always wanted to "fix" it. Than on New Years Eve I looked into the mirror and was like: Huh... my nose is nice! Glad I never got the chance to go under the knife.
For real. I’m so lucky I grew up poor. I like my “weird” nose now. It’s just mine.
That's awesome! What do you think changed or "clicked" for you?
Ditto! I have an Irish button nose that is smashed at the bridge from a tennis accident 20 years ago. I use to hate my nose until I began assisting in rhinoplasty surgeries. Now I love my smooshed bridge!
Seeing how plastic surgery is REALLY done and not just the videos surgeons are willing to post will completely turn you off from going under the knife. A lot of the surgeries are repeats/repairs.
@@samisparkleheart "growing" into my face. I also started to love myself more.
My ex pointed out that my nose isn't straight while we were brushing our teeth. It wasn't malicious from him and he wasn't being mean, but I could never unsee it after that.
I believe something like that happened to me as well. One day i just realised my nose is cute)
i was super self conscious about my nose as a kid - as noses go its pretty out there; but my face grew into it. as stephanie says - noses balance out our features and work for our faces. i dont think i love my nose - but i like the look of me; i like looking like me and being unique; so my nose is here to stay!
I literally wanted to cry seeing those photos of lana because my nose is just like her original one. Thanks for including that bit, I really needed to see that 😭💖
the timing is perfect bcs i am so insecure about my nose
You are so pretty! Please don’t feel insecure. People wouldn’t notice at all. It’s just us who are so hyper vigilant. You have one body. Don’t hate it. It’s your home.
get it pierced
It's beautiful hun, don't do it.
WOAH WHAT A HONKER! Joking! You are a hottie sis! 😂
Same here sis but trust me you’ll grow to love it as you grow older. I view my nose as a unique piece of art instead of a problem that needs to be fixed. Carry yourself with elegance and appreciate life. That type of beauty will radiate out and will be better than ANY nose job.
It’s strange but the more I see people altering their noses, the more it makes me love my big Italian honker lol I love that I look unique! I never thought I’d say that ❤
My husband is insecure about his nose but I love it! It’s a person’s signature of their Side profile!!! It’s like a facial fingerprint each nose is unique ❤❤❤❤
recently discovered ur channel as a 23 y/o guy from sweden and im obsessed. i love ur videos thank u for entertaining me 🥰
thank you so much for addressing this. it's becoming such a problem where im having to block people and delete apps where i see people trying desperately to spread their insecurities like a disease. instead of getting help, people will turn to social media and find company for their misery. 🤦♀
I remember when people were sincerely shocked by MJs nose - now people want the MJ nose
I'll never get over the makeup trend almost a decade ago when video tutorials on how to contour your nose were calling it the "mj nose" unironically and it was something so coveted. Wtf.
?!
It just makes me so sad because our noses are something that our parents gave us and people are changing it to fit into a beauty standard which will change in a few years
sadly i didnt get my parents nose they have straight noses i got my grandma’s bumpy indigenous roman nose
I havd my grandfather's nose, as do my sister, our cousins once removed, and now my 2 children (they have their father's eyes and brow.) The way you carry your ancestors with you should be something to be glad of.
STEPHANIE I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY N REALNESS. IT'S REFRESHING N IT MAKES YOU EVEN PRETTIER AND IT MADE ME FEEL BETTER. ❤🎉😊
This genuinely made me re-think getting a nose job. Thank you! It might not be worth it in the end...
Trends change! Your parents gave you that nose... one day when they aren't here you will still see them in yourself... embrace YOUR face ❤
Hi, I had one 2 years ago. Do I look beautiful now? Yes. Did I look beautiful back then? Also yes. Do I regret getting it? Every time I look in the mirror. I may be actually getting compliments now, but the disconnect you feel towards the new nose messes up your head. I needed therapy to accept my new face. I'd say that if your nose is functional, don't touch it. Surgery can and will mess up the health of your nose in the future. I may look and feel beautiful now but I seriously regret it and wish I had my old nose. It's a very complicated feeling.
@@eveandaedrul ❤❤❤❤❤
@@eveandaedrul thank you for sharing that! I feel like the more people talk about their experience, the more I don't think I REALLY need it. And I'm sure you were beautiful then and now❤
@@eveandaedrul No one talks about how bizarre it is to see a different face staring back at you. I kept my overall nose shape but had my inner nasal bones corrected/removed/repaired. My facial symmetry still changed a lot and it really messed with my head for about a year after surgery. I am very happy with the results and I feel a million times better… but I also had to work through my feelings about the changes in therapy.
Shout out to everyone learning to feel beautiful regardless of social media pressures ❤️❤️
omg i was literallyyyyy jus looking at my face in selfies n thinking i needed a nose job, then i see this video in my recommended, deff subscribing bc you made me feel so much better abt my nose 😭😭🫶🏼🫶🏼 thank you queen , your nose is beautiful as well🥰🥰🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼✨✨✨
Problem with rhinoplasty is that it's unpredictable. You could look fine for years, and then suddenly, your nose could colapse. Out of nowhere. And it's no one fault. It's just that this surgery messes up the structure of nose, and it can turn out quite well, or it could colapse, deform or close and leave you miserable. That's the risk of this surgery. And we really, really need nose to breathe.
There is also the fact that if you mess with the nose's cartilage, the whole thing will start to shrink after a decade or so. Which is probably why one of the girls in the video had a first "very conservative" nose job: a plastic surgeon that knows what he's doing will plan things with the long-term result in mind, probably in some 5 years she would've naturally got exactly what she wanted with no more shrinkage, sort of like how good tattoo artists make tattoos that look darker at first, so they last longer.
But she messed with it, so enjoy the Voldemort nose in 5 years love😂
@@DeadKraken sadly, that is why a lot of nose jobs "colapse" after several years.
A huge hug to the Italian girl. Her OG nose was perfect I thought that was the after procedure I’m in shock. It looked PERFECT nothing wrong at allll, and the nose that I would LOVE instead of what I have. It’s insane that people think that a person not having a ski slope button nose is considered as automatically ugly.
Her nose after is fine but her original was beautiful.
She went from looking like a beautiful Italian girl to looking like every generic insta girl.
her original nose was so beautiful :(((
girl, ive ALWAYS admired ur nose, i think its so perfect, ive never even seen that theres any imperfections, ur nose is so pretty
the girl at 9:30 broke my heart :( the regret and sadness is honestly heartbreaking especially since she realized her old nose was perfect
I feel like there needs to be a limit to the amount of selfies/videos, especially with filters, on instagram and tiktok. It's so toxic.
What a great idea!
i feel so horribly awful for those girls who regret it. My stomach legit hurts for them that would suck so bad cause you cannot ever get the nose back. once it’s gone it’s gone
It's sad but don't torture yourself over it. All you can do is learn from it and cherish your own nose. What's done is done.
Not only fix ur breathing, also fix ur bite, unbalanced bite (skeletal class 2 or only orthodontic cases), atypical swallowing... These features could've been developed in childhood (growing ages) due to poor tongue positioning. (All this is in reference to when we talk about the chin at minute 11:56). I defend a lot the orthodontic treatments because you can prevent those type of features for a very good reason in a future (breathing well, chewing well, not having temporomandibular joint problems, not having bruxism)... Btw thank u for this video Stephanie, I agree w almost everything
The girl at 9:18 really botched her nose 😮 the video of her right after where she's complaining she couldnt get a good pic.. her nose looked perfect to me then? Now it really looks messed up! Crazy that she was so young when she did that, only looked 16- now she's looking very old and gaunt.
Poor thing was tormented by social media. So sad for these girls smh
Dentist here. We typically call the ‘adenoid face’ a type II occlusion (the way the teeth bite together). This can either be skeletal or dental. Skeletal can be improved if intercepted during growth spurts however may need revision later on depending on the severity. Dental is a little easier to correct with just orthodontics. A lot of people with this type of occlusion can either have a prominent maxilla (upper jaw), a recessive mandible (lower jaw) or a combination of the 2. However, the recessive lower jaw can unfairly make the nose seem more prominent. I would encourage those considering surgery to also ask their dentist/orthodontist about their facial shape as a second opinion.
In addition to the breathing issues: is it the chicken or the egg…. Did the breathing issues cause the development of a type II occlusion or did the genetically present type II occlusion hinder the development of nasal breathing.
How come I've never been a mouth breather but I still have that kind of recessed jaw?
I think the effect of mouth breathing can be a bit overblown and sometimes it’s genetic. You could also be doing it in your sleep if you have a nasal blockage or restricted airway without realizing it.
@@catcat2607 Thanks. I always wake up with my mouth closed, so I doubt I breath through my mouth while I sleep. I ended up looking this up on ChatGPT and it says it can be just genetic too, or caused by bad posture.
I appreciate your comment as a dentist. I have a receding chin like my father's side of the family, so genetic. I'm self conscious about it as I don't look like most people. I can't just go and get it 'fixed' at my age. Stephanie has banged on about how people need to accept themselves, but more or less told us (the receding chin folk) that we are unattractive! I feel sorry for any young impressionable person watching this as it's hurtful.
Stephanie I normally like your videos a lot but please don’t recommend filler nose jobs. They are very dangerous and often cause necrosis. Many surgeons have advised against it. Please do your research a bit more on this.
i cut all my hair off 3 weeks ago and wow did i not expect to notice so many things about my face. it changed all the proportions of everything! my hair used to balance out that i have a proportionally rather small head but with my big fluffy hair it was so visible. then i have a rather round face with full cheeks and the volume of my hair in a pony also helps with that. every small detail of our appearance exists in relation to everything else. i could not imagine changing something permanently.
Now that I’m 30, my nose finally fits my face. Or maybe I’m just too tired to care. But I do just wanna say that it does get better with time. Love yourself and your nose. But do whatever makes you happy.
slop noses are ugly to me when they are fake, and you can tell.
Same!!!
They look sooo artificial, not even natural button noses are that sloped
But you still like the real thing which is a toxic beauty standard yap yap yap
@@mittag983 you're saying some natural noses should be shunned?
@@killer_queen4062 No just don't act one thing is better just because it's natural even though it's basically the same thing I just think that's kinda rude
Maybe we are looking at ourselves in pictures and in mirrors too much...
Great video, as always. Keep up the good work
❤ you are very appreciated ❤️
Right! I caught my tween daughter staring at herself (for about >3 minutes) and she whispered “wow. My forehead is so big” and I told her that WE ALL LOOK WEIRD if we stare at ourselves too much and we start noticing MINOR things (such a my eyes are different sizes, my ears are not aligned - which explains all my crooked glasses!, foreheads and hairlines are ODD looking and no one is “perfect” looking at all! ) she laughed and said, “you’re right. Faces ARE weird” and happily walked away.
@@okoala62That is such a sweet story. We need more supportive mothers like you in this world. Kudos to you for instilling confidence in your daughter ,especially in this age where girls feel enormous pressure to conform to ridiculous beauty standards.
1:28 omg when I heard “ Cindy “ nose I thought it was modeled after Cindy Lu woo from the grinch !!!
I’ve watched several of your videos and I’ve never even thought about your nose, other than that you’re extremely beautiful ❤️
And thank you for speaking about this! Gives me confidence
speaking of jaws and dentists, it is absoloutely shocking how much a bite problem or jaw issue can change your nose COMPLETELY, look up befores and afters of div 2 malocclusions, and look at the nose!
I honestly always loved a big nose. I think it gives so much character. I don't understand why everyone wants to look the same
I think so too . I have so many friends with hook type noses and I’m kinda jealous. I’ve always thought a large nose would look good on me
yessss, they're so elegant and attractive
I’m so glad my mom told me I had my dad’s nose and the nose that runs through my dad’s side of the family. It made me proud that I was so obviously connected with them. Now that my dad has passed and most of my older family too I see a part of them every time I look in the mirror. I’d never want another nose!
I literally love you, you have no idea how much you’ve helped me with my self confidence, you’ve allowed me to bloom in my uniqueness, made me realize that really, there is no specific mold to be counted as beautiful its just social media and beauty standards of this era that have made me feel this way. I am forever grateful that i discovered your videos and my God bless you
I genuinely find people with unique features so beautiful. The fact that people feel pressured to look like other people is very saddening and I genuinely hope people learn to appreciate their natural features because that's what made for them.
100%
Thanks for the surgery animation, i didn't want a nose job and now i want it even less
And it gets even worse in real life, unfortunately.
Dearest and sweetest Stephanie,
You helped me in breaking free from the prison of comparing myself to instagram models when they themselves dontlook like that. You literally helped me gain confidence through your content. I wish for you and your family, the purest and wamest form of joy, love and blessings. I love you and thank you.

Can we also talk about the overinflated slugs, aka lips, on their faces?
Shit looks like a prolapsed ass
The more you think about helping another person or (child, animal, family, organization, volunteering, just holding down a job), the less you will focus on your self and your perceived problems.
