This extreme, rapid 'weight loss' that every celebrity and their dog seem to be achieving seems a bit off - and it's because i tHiNk it is. See there's this diabetes medication that has the very convenient side effect of making its consumers forget to eat. It's very easy to lose copious amounts of weight... if you dont eat. But there's a problem (aside from the fact that humans actually need to eat) - the demand of this medication has become so intense, from people who DON'T actually need it for medical reasons, that the people who DO now can't get it. What. A. Mess.
Thank you to Kenzzi for working with me. xx

As a former pharmacy technician, I wholeheartedly agree with you, Stephanie! With COVID came shortages of Zithromax and Plaquenil, an antibiotic and medication commonly used for rheumatoid arthritis, because it was THEORIZED that they could possibly help with the severity of the virus. Turned out to be iffy. But, when our patients needed the Zithromax for sinus infections and bronchitis, and my rheumatoid arthritis patients needed their Plaquenil, we had a heck of a time getting it for them. I'm a SAHM now, but my ex-coworkers text me often about the injection shortage. It's so frustrating, and heartbreaking. Some of those patients have gone through the other injectables and landed on this one because it works with the least amount of side effects. And now it's unavailable because some people wanna drop a few pounds? Ridiculous.

Yep there’s a world wide shortage & diabetics are suffering cause rich people want to lose 10-20lbs! My college in Austrailia said last week the whole country is out of these medications. It’s crazy, meanwhile I have patients needing it but can’t get it because it’s back ordered and there’s been a shortage for almost a year. People who actually need it to help their diabetes can’t get it so now they’re going back weight & increasing their risk for stroke, heart attacks, high glucose and cholesterol while they wait. It’s very sad that people have to be put last because they can’t afford to pay jacked up prices & illegal meds. Some illegal injections have been tested & some of them don’t contain any of the actually meds it’s counterfeit & some contain toxic chemicals so I hope no one is buying these online through non reputable places. It’s a sad realization that we’ve been reduced to this point. The study of these meds also aren’t very long term and we’re not tested on non-diabetics so no one knows the effect it has on a healthy pancreas so buyer beware and it’s not like you can just go buy a new pancreas know matter how rich you are. We know that so far people have to take this medicine for the rest of their lives but since it wasn’t tested on healthy people we do know in studies that people have to take this for the rest of their lives or they gain back all the weight plus more. In people with a pancreas that’s not damaged the long term use most probably they will have to take it forever as well but if you damage your pancreas there’s very little hope at that point.

Ozempic has been low in stock in Australia since Covid hit. I actually can't believe it's only become a celebrity thing recently considering people have been taking it for weight loss for years. My pharmacy, and I'm sure most in Aus, have been restricting the small supplies of it for diabetic customers so anyone looking to get it for weight loss is going to be out of luck. It seems like the situation in the US is very different and of course celebrities would have easy access to it.

My bf tells me that natural is the new thing to appreciate and I have never felt so appreciated and admired for my naturally aging, textured, hairy body. I don't feel pressured to look a different age or have a different body type. There seems to be some really healthy and positive mentalities that are becoming more common and I'm starting to get hopeful again. Most of the toxicity seems to come from my peers. Can you please consider doing a generational beauty video?

Omg girl me too. I am a millenial dating a Gen Z person who loves my small boobs, pear shaped, wide hipped body. When I was growing up skinny was in, the "inner thigh gap", slim hipped, flat assed, so you could wear low rise jeans. Big tits. I have had anorexia nervosa for most of my adult life but it wasnt until I was in my thirties that I realized I could not starve away my *bones* ....my hip bones were wide, my ribcage short, my legs sturdy and not skinny. I used to call them my "Italian peasant legs." I am toned but not extremely. My Gen Z partner loves my hips. Literally kneads my hips with his hands, loves my low, full behind. That's the only way to describe my butt. I've never had so much love directed at my body type.
Watching all this 2000's fashion and makeup come back has been triggering to me. I've lost five pounds again and been doing my "body check tics" again, like checking to make sure I can see my ribs measuring my waist, restricting my food intake. My partner's love for my body helps but its clear I still have a ways to go in terms of my personal healing.
I am so glad that you have found someone who appreciates you too!

I've always gained muscle easily and growing up during the Britney, christina, Paris and Nikki days was terrible for anyone who didn't have long slim willowy bodies. My partner got super fascinated with my triceps and hamstrings and really really doesn't want me to shave or dye my grey hair..... I've never seen my body hair this length since I was a teenager and apparently I have grey armpit hair now?!?! 😂😭

Hello from another 29 year old 👋✨ gosh i remember the early 2000s and the damage it did to how we view our bodies 😳 in 8th grade to sophomore year of high school, I used to do the 8 almonds for breakfast thing, encouraged by my mom, because she was so worried I was gonna be overweight (obesity runs in my dads side, diabetes runs on my moms side). I was beginning to look a bit gaunt, my sister brought it to my attention, and I stopped. I just wished my mom noticed how bad it was. Glad those days are over. I still struggle with loving my body as it is, but i figure as long as im doing my best to actually be healthy, then thats all that matters 💜 hope all is well!

This last time I was out of remission, I had seizures, a mini stroke, lost my hair, developed boils, and more. I feel the trend of dropping weight fast is most certainly going to cause ED relapse. I have a therapist, psychiatrist, general doctor who all help me to stay in recovery. I’m just not doing so well. And now that skinny fast is a thing, it’s triggering me. I’m lucky to have a medical team to help me through it. I shudder to think what may happen to those who don’t.

I mean no amount of plastic surgery can make a bunch of teens interested in a 50+ woman. So money would stop flowing in, the majority of which is still coming from endorsement irrespective of what the clan wants you to believe that their merch is doing phenomenal or whatever.
