I live under a rock. So I had no idea who Daisy Keech was. But I have never had SO MANY requests to react to an influencer in real life before, as I had for Daisy. Why? I don't know! Maybe because she has millions of loyal followers, maybe because she is 'body goals', maybe because she seems perfect? Let's be real guys - no one is perfect. NO ONE. Not me, not you, not Daisy. We're not dolls! We're human beings, and no one looks the same in real life as they do on Instagram. We can't all walk around with a permanent filter, sucking our bellies in and contorting our bodies into flattering angles in real life. How awkward would that be lol.
Daisy is a stunner in real life. But she's still a real human being. Let's remember that!
    Stephi x

Okay. So why are we picking this girl apart? If there’s such an issue here, just leave it alone. Who cares if she looks different on Instagram vs in real life. Most people do. And yes, if you want to look like her, you can not eat a lot. It’s not realistic at all, but it’s a choice that we are all entitled to make. Just like drinking alcohol or smoking…your body your choice, doesn’t mean it’s good for ya. Pick your battles.

I agree. She's making bad choices for herself, and I believe that's the point of this video: to show that no, that is not a good choice for many many reasons, just like smoking or using other drugs. But doesn't make her a bad person. She didn't create the diet mentality and probably suffers herself a lot with it. So what are we battleling here? Her? Or our own mentality about beauty and bodies and happiness...? 🤔

It has come to my attention that perhaps the paparazzi pictures of 'Daisy' in the black shorts is not Daisy, but a different influencer. It's hard to say, as some websites claim the pictures are of Daisy, and some say they are of someone else. When I was researching for this video, many apparently reputable websites were claiming these photo were of Daisy, hence why I included them in the video. Now as I am not an investigative journalist, I can't say for sure whether it's her or not, so either way as there is doubt, I am removing this section from the video. Perhaps Daisy does have a waist that is as small as her head?

I don’t understand why people follow these types of people. But, I’m also in my mid 40s, and I mostly just don’t care about worldly things anymore (so freeing!).

Girls and women get bored and then look for a new person with new content while men subscribe and keep following their feed bc its just a semi pornographic hit. The whole everyone looking the same is no coincidence. They are all mimicking the features of sex dolls and bj type porno images. This is such an amazing message to women. My husband died 3 months ago and I lost maybe 15 pounds because I’m not hungry but now that I have lost that I’m starting to fall back into my eating disorder days. I eat 1 small meal a day. And maybe 1 small snack. I’m not working out since I’m in bed all day depressed but I feel so bad about myself and my husband is gone so I just don’t want food but I know it’s not healthy. And my body type will never be a size 0, at a size 4 people tell me I look too skinny. So yes bodies are different, it’s sad that women are trying all of this to look like people that are editing their photos or just posing a certain way.

I have definitely eaten like Daisy years ago to try and counteract my weight gain from PCOS, and it became a vicious cycle because I'm pretty sure my diet is what was aggravating the weight issue as I was severely undereating. I now eat normally and my weight has balanced out and I'm healthier than I was while at a calorie deficit. It goes to show that dieting really is not what it makes out to be, and is not beneficial for women who are considered 'fat'', but are actual just a normal healthy weight.

It’s good that fit influencers want to help you to achieve your “dream body” but the problem is that they just use their body to tell you to follow their diet and their program. What I love about your videos is that you only ever criticise their behaviour. You never say a bad word about their physical appearance and are always actually hyping up how gorgeous they are, how talented they are etc. But their behaviour - whether that's reinforcing unrealistic body standards by overly-photoshopping images on social media or promoting dangerous dieting - is an active choice they are making and that is hurting countless, impressionable viewers/followers.
If your friend fucked up and hurt someone, you would kindly call them out in the hope they'd change their behaviour and not hurt people in the future. It's exactly the same here. Without tearing them down or hurling abuse at them, influencers and celebrities need to be held accountable for their behaviour. What Daisy does in respect of her own lifestyle and diet is her own decision. Her own relationship with food and exercise is heartbreaking, but it's her own choice as an autonomous person. However, choosing to vocalise those same food-phobic ideals out to others on her (very public) platform is not okay. She should know better.

To be honest, I think about high school cooking lessons and how pointless they were. I made a chocolate cake and a baked potato, that's it. They didn't really go into detail of a balanced meal, just gave you that chart. Great what foods can I make with those ingredients on the chart? No idea. I still dont actually know a healthy meal I can make with the things in my fridge.

I struggled with that a lot but I downloaded an menu planner app for this and it helped me a lot tbh, but maybe you find another way to solve that. I also added vegetables to literally anything I eat, so that's a start I guess? 😅 Anyways, Good luck 😊🤞

I seriously didn't realize how much I was under eating or how disordered my eating was. I thought since I have never thrown up or skipped a full day of eating, that I had no problems, but she really made me realize how much I should be eating and it has made me feel so much better and helped me show myself so much more love and mercy when it comes to losing weight.

This woman is only 23 years old, with breast implants, and went to a doctor to prove her bum is real - didn't Kim Kardashian do that? And look what happened lol.
I watched Abby Sharp's video on Daisy recently. Didn't know who she was before that. My point is that of course at 23, with implants to balance the body and they also give the illusion of a smaller waist due to the ratio of breast to waist to bum.. of *course* she's going to have an unachievable body. Especially because she eats very little and yet she is touted as someone we should be "influenced" by in the fitness realm? It's not realistic for women over a certain age and just women in general. We work 8 plus hour jobs, have families to take care of and ourselves, as well as balancing some sort of social life and running errands. When are we supposed to sleep and afford this lifestyle? Can't afford to live that way if you're weak from under nourishment.
It's a shame that social media doesn't give the same amount of credit to women who have actually lost weight [think Jillian Michaels], have knowledge of nutrition and muscle activity, and who have a strong realistically achievable body. Not some young woman who just graduated high school 5 years ago lol.
But in an era that is supposed to be so.. liberal.. and calling people who are unhealthy, healthy.. and giving them the title of "influencer", the health at every size movement, people with possible Ed's and no muscle tone.. it's just all lies. There's not an ounce of reality in social media on both sides of the scale [literally].
We need older women who have been to hell and back and are full of the wisdom and legitimate knowledge to help others who have been there.

The thing about diet and fitness culture is that everyone's bodies are vastly different from their height, to their weight and even your very own DNA. Someone else's diet or fitness routine can possibly make you very ill because of these factors, it works for them but that doesn't mean it'll work for you. There's also the fact that some people aren't entirely transparent, they also heavily edit their pictures before sharing it on social media. Let's not forget it can also be mentally damaging, constantly comparing yourself to an unrealistic standard. Find a fitness routine that works for your body, find a healthy balanced diet that works for your body.

    TRIGGER WARNING:
When I had a very serious ED I ate almost the same amount as her and sometimes less. I would restrict myself everyday. One piece of toast seemed too much, a whole banana seemed too much, as small snack seemed too much. I knew I had a problem but kept lying to myself. If I had seen her videos when I had a horrible ED it would have fed that lie. I would have believed I didn’t actually have a problem. I would not have gotten help. Her videos are so SO SOOOO harmful. i hope u got over it. I can relate to this so much! until a few months ago i also always restricted myself. Sometimes forgot to eat for 3 days straight and was always scared to gain weight because i got told since i was little that i am chubby. Especially my father fed my insecurities cause he always told me when i gained a bit of weight telling me to eat less sweets and always talking about women and that they have to be small and petite so obv. if u hear that since u are small u will internalise it. I am now 21 and i still suffer from my horrible relationship to food and my fucked up body image. idk how it was in ur case ( i am sorry i am kinda trauma dumping rn i hope thats ok) but i didnt feel lovable and still struggle with acknowledging that my worth does not get defined by my body count or looks in general. I eat better now tho. thanks to my really supportive bf who made sure i ate at least one meal per day when he noticed how bad it was and now i am at a point where i actually get hungry again and also snack and even gained weight. sometimes i think a little too much but then i think to myself that when i was skinny i also wasnt happy so rather eat and work on selfconfident rather than not eat and still hate myself. I hope u have a good support system as well and are doing better too! 🥰

I love my mom to death but she eats like one cracker and says she is full. If she has a big ("big") lunch she says she doesn't have to eat until the next day. I'd make one piece of toast and she'd make a comment if I went to get another or if I used "too much" butter. It's so toxic and I never fully realized it until my 20s how harmful it was.

I'm a picky eater and I hate vegetables but I try to eat some every chance I get. I replaced snacks with fruits and whenever I have cravings, I would drink water until I feel full. I did all this without working out and lost weight (the results really shows in 6 months), I still allow myself to eat whatever I want (in moderation), no suffering needed.
Although at some point I did exercise to help myself get fit because I'm a student who sits on the chair all day. But it helped me improving my mood, my mental health, my stamina and strength, I became happier and more confident in general! It felt great and I hope others can feel that too ^^

Obviously make sure you feel healthy. Daisy Keech doesn't look unhealthy to me, but she definitely doesn't look like someone who only eats a slice of toast and a small smoothie every day. Unless that smoothie has some hidden calorie weight gainer powder that she's not talking about. Or she snacks. I'd be very skeptical that she's only eating toast and smoothie for breakfast and lunch.
