I think Nintendo just overall understands that music is a huge factor in nostalgia and general enjoyment of games. Mario galaxy, paper Mario, smash bros, Wii sports, donkey Kong, the list goes on of games where the majority of music is either memorable, enjoyable or both.
Shy Guy Bazaar is the type of song that grows on you with time, when you listen to the final lap version you understand what they were going for with the melody, and then as you race again in that track you appreciate the regular version more.

Good to hear from someone actually from LA! I’ve never been but it’s always shown off all across digital media and I just felt like the song didn’t fit at all
As much as i disagree with most of your rankings and descriptions i can only say i’m impressed af by the fact that you came up with all those words hahaha
So great to see some love for the Super Circuit soundtrack, didn't expect a GBA track to be number 2 and I'm very happy with that. Super Circuit needs more love!
You just can’t NOT bop your head every time you hear cheese land 🔥
says the one with anime pfp
@@jonathanpermutation very useful comment, adds so much to the discussion, thank you.
You can hear a little exhale after every word and it just makes me feel 🚨🚨🚨
NOOOO DON'T EVER DISRESPECT WALUIGI PINBALL
My fav is Berlin Byways, happy to see it got 3rd.
Since there weren't any battle courses in this video, i just wanted to say that the most underrated mario kart song is Funky Stadium from MK Wii.
That was my favorite battle map in wii
Thwomp desert is better. Nobody would even like funky stadium if it weren’t themed around funky Kong
@@zanmolecules4105 The ramps are so much fun though. plus, it's big an open meaning green shell are good. anyway, there all really good maps and honestly does matter which like best.
@@zanmolecules4105 Thwomp Desert is fun too ngl. I also like Cookie Land and Chain Chomp Roulette.
Guessed he'd say Cosmic for Wii Rainbow Road, am proud of myself lol
Awesome video dude, hit the nail on the head lots of times
I love this list, it's always a jam to revisit Mario Kart soundtracks
Moo moo medows in bottom 25 is a FELONY
Apart from Mt. Wario, Daisy Ciruit and Maple Treeway being too low the list was suprisingly impressive. Respect for listening to all the tracks and making up a new word for each!
Great video! I feel like coconut mall should be iconic though
I was just happy to see Moonview Highway up so high. I always felt that song was underrated.
I had to make sure people knew how good this one is!
even though the list was a little questionable at points imo i still really love the video format! great work!
The Mariokart soundtrack is so good, out of the 116 or so soundtracks, only 20 at most are stinkers, maybe even less.
Facts! This was incredibly hard to rank haha
@@GWallPro I would agree, it gets especially hard when you are down to tracks like those from Mariokart Wii and the Rainbow Road tracks.
Riverside Park was done so so dirty in this. It’s worse than Banshee Boardwalk, Ghost Valley, DK’s Jungle Parkway, and more?
I must day the music for the Tour Tracks are really good! Tokyo Blur, Vancouver Velocity, & Berlin Byways are a few of my favorites.
Yesss they went crazy on the tour soundtrack for some reason 🔥
@@GWallPro Idk who was in the studio but he deserves a grammy
@@jaysimone they really do!
Grumble Volcano is my favorite 😢, awesome video!
I agree on GBA Circuits, for me is the worst MK song
I have learned so many new words today thank you!
You’re welcome! :)
This entire idea is really funny to me for some reason great video 👍
Thank you so much that means a lot!!
Thanks for telling us that literally every good song was bad or boring, it's always nice to see an unbiased, logical opinion
just say you don’t agree
Keyword: OPINION
@@NunnyNugget That means nothing. Opinions can be both unbiased and logical.
This video makes me realize I need to increase my vocabulary
Calls Waluigi Pinball “ Overrated” but calls Coconut Mall “ Unforgettable “…
I respect your opinions, sir
both are overrated but waluigi pinball is better
Ok I respect your opinion in Waluigi Pinball, but imo deserves the love lol
Tbh I find Coconut mall to be iconic because how popular it is 😂
Most of music I like most I'd from the Wii. Although some of these were nostalgic because I had MK DS for my 3DS
ok but waluigi pinball is one of, if not my favourite mariokart song of all time and it gets done dirty like that ;(
Wished Banshee Boardwalk and Shroom Ridge were higher, but at least 3 tour songs were in the top 10
Now with wave 5, your top 13 favorite tunes are in Mario kart 8
Hadn't realized how good some of those Tour tracks are. Kinda stayed away from Tour because of it's scummy gacha mechanics but it apparently has some bops. The more you know
At least most will end up in MK8DX.
I’ve started playing tour recently out of desperation for more mario kart, and as long as you ignore the gem shop and the gold pass, it’s a really solid underrated game. And the loot box stuff doesn’t ever really get in the way given how much free shit they throw at you every day. It’s definitely worth giving it a shot.
@@JohnTK thing is, you cannot ignore the p2w in tour
Its impossible to get stuff quickly without spending more money than nintendo spent devloping mario kart 8
9:01 my brother in christ they’re all instrumental
While i can agree to disagree with most of this list, i really do have to say that Mount Wario was completely shafted
Putting RRWii 27th hurt, but putting MooMoo Farm right above it was salt in the wound.
