I would not say England "should" have won the tournament, but they "could" have with a decent manager, given the soft draw. The frustrating part is that no one knows what would have happened had someone else been given a chance with that squad. This Spain team was all over England, yet it is not a patch on the Spanish team of ten years ago - imagine how much Xavi, Iniesta, Ramos etc would have smashed a Southgate team by. Southgate was given an attack with the EPL, La Liga and Bundesliga players of the year, and had no idea what to do with them.

Seriously he had 8 years to work with these players most of them are top PL talent. He is not a good coach and does not have Ball to make tough calls, not good in tactics. Get to semifinals or finals England and he mostly got lucky that proved by other teams by winning 🏆 that England was not good enough and Southgate in not a good coach. As long as he is the coach England not winning 💩 and it’s never coming home.

Southgate has overstayed his welcome and now its's time for him to go. He's failed again and again and again, but these players deserve so much better than what he offers. He's tactically inept and plays boring football. No way should he subject the people of England and the UK to his mess.

Let's cut the crap and be honest.
Any decent trainer of the top 100 European clubs would have made a massive football machine from this extremely talented group of players.
But Mr gone South decides every time to have fear to lose the starting point of each match. Cowardice. Garrett is a clown and so is the English football association for keeping him on.
Seriously, England has the players to outclass any team in the world, but they couldn't beat Slovenia Slovakia Switzerland and the Netherlands in a proper straight forward way.
Seriously Southgate has go to go South.
I also wanna say that these top players could have and should taken matters into their own hands and start playing like they all know they can and should.
England didn't deserve a spot in the final and lost it already before they staryed playing it.
No, nothing to be proud of when you produce only 30% of the potential available.
I'm proud Southie says . Seriously of what???

I wish people would stop blaming any of the players because it really wasn’t their fault - the problems go way back - known weaknesses in defence especially at CH - a failure to address that issue properly until just weeks before the Euros - a shortage of players who are naturally left-footed making the team un-balanced - no preferred starting eleven and structure - certain players and especially Kane have come in for unfair criticism but because we clearly had no structure that the players could adapt to - he had players continually playing into his space forcing him and the team deeper and deeper - a striker doesn’t score that number of goals in the Bundesliga and then become a bad player ffs - he has been and still is a WC striker yet unlike virtually any other decent HC in the World Southgate fails to get the best out of him and yet people blame Kane rather than Southgate - it’s just ridiculous - a decent HC would at least deal with the matter properly - either change the structure or drop Harry for Watkins who was much better suited to the system Southgate was using - which begs the question - did Southgate even know what system he was using - make him an Earl or something and put him in a castle somewhere - he is totally hopeless

Stop defending GS. He made bad decisions, he needs to own that and learn from it.
He went into a tournament underprepared but with great players. Luckily those great players covered up his mistakes with moments of brilliance. the tactics were woeful. Fitting players in even if out of position or unfit.
Relyin on an unfit Kane, bad idea. Not playing Runners with Kane, even though Gordon is on the bench.
GS is a coach, he's done a lot of good but we need a tactically skilled manager not a coach on game day. Until The FA hire one, we are doomed to failure relying on underskilled coaches. Pep or Klopp would have won that with those players.
He talks about no tournament experience, erm didn't some of those youngsters WIN the u21's last summer? Why not utilise that? Those players are used to playing together. Gordon was player of that tournament yet he got 4 mins.
Reactive subs, too little too late.
Palmer one of the best players in the PL and he's on the bench while an unfit Kane starts.
There is so much wrong here but with boring negative no press football with players that play day in day out high press football, you're asking them to change their entire game.
Spain proved today you can win playing attractive high press exciting football, because i certainly don't want to watch another negative tactic set up. Spain deserved the win. England were finding their feet in a bad tactical setup, too little too late. We are all saying the same things yet no coach in the England set up says any of it to GS? Is he that stubborn?

We mainly lost cuz we failed to sub on Trent. The only great long ball passer 3 🦁 have. Bobby Robson made the same mistake by not building his 1986 & 1990 teams around Hoddle
Kobbie played poorly & Kane was brave but his injured back held him back.
Guehi caused the 2nd Spain goal via a bad long ball turnover & pickfords saves were very good but his passing long balls were poor.
U can't win big cups with 34% possession. U need at least 40%.
Spain extra day of rest & fresh starters in Defence after yellow card bans made a big difference in aiding Spain.

Thank God that the Three Cats Illusion team did not win the championship because it had to leave Slovakia...
The English media was preparing to bash our heads with hollow praises of mirth for the next ten years... and perhaps more.
But fate abandoned them at the right time to put the lowly team in its natural position.
The team that promotes itself the most and has been playing for 120 years and only today qualified for the final of a major tournament outside its home stadium? He qualified with the blessings and prayers of his parents, the support of the referees and luck.
    But it's no use
    A truly respectable Spanish team
He deservedly won the European Championships alone
De La Fuente feels that he is a coach coming not only to compete with the big boys, but to sit in their place
Bellingham was hoping for a fake penalty kick like that in the Netherlands match
But there was no way out
Bellingham, Kane, and some action players. Most of the players from teams like Switzerland and Austria were much better than them...
But the English do not stop drumming anything hollow
We can say.. that the ball is in this normal euro
The beautiful ball won and the noise was defeated...

England had the easiest path to the final and the strongest squad by far in the tournament yet still couldn't get the job done against a Spanish team that would have been demolished by their counterparts from 2010.
