OMG thank you! I watch so many other videos and even went all through the manual and it said I had to hold down two separate buttons to reset the filter and it's so aggravating because it won't work and you just keep trying. But your video made it so easy and it took me like not even 5 seconds to do it and it saves so much frustration. Thank you so much God bless!

Thank you so much for your help. I bought one replacement which fits the Samsung filter on Amazon. It says that it is certified by NSF. I bought a set of 3 for $25. I didn't know how to reset the filter light. I learned by watching your video.

Thanks for this video it's the only one I can find that proves there is a light at the dispenser. Mine does not work and Samsung is saying there is no light feature at the dispenser... although there is ( insert eye roll)
Trust me mine lights up fairly brightly, I drink a lot of water and it sure makes it nice at night time .

Sir, I got my new fridge today. The booklet said to turn off the water line. We’ve never had to do this in the Whirlpool Gold side-by-side fridge.
Should we also follow the mfg’s instruction to turn off the water line prior to changing out the water filter?
The booklet will say things like that so they are not responsible for anything. Under the rare and right situation a water shutoff valve may not close when pulling out the filter or maybe something else rare . Honestly I would not worry about it , but if an issue does come up , you know where the shutoff is right ?
You have to think rolling a fridge out every time to change a filter would get annoying, especially if your kitchen, or garage , or whatever your area is has a cabinet or shelving area that the fridge just fits in .

My filter light is red but I never hooked my refrigerator up to the water line.😂 so must be on a time from set up not a usage and dirty situation. My kitchen is under construction in my refrigerator is less than seven months old. 🤷🏻♀️

I have the same fridge but my water does not come out as fast as yours. Mine takes forever to fill a small cup. Any ideas on how to fix it?
Well this could be due to a few things.
1. Your water pressure at your home . At mine I do have city water even though I don’t live in the city , but I installed a well style pump a a 250 gallon water pressure tank to maintain good pressure all the time .
2. different water filters allow different amounts of flow rate . This mean not all filters are built the same .
3. You could check to make sure your water shutoff valve on the water line going to the fridge is all the way open .
4. Your 1/4 water line to your fridge needs changed. If it’s cooper plumbing in your house the water lines will break down and slow water down , being said a small 1/4 cooper line can get clogged. I converted my whole house to pvc or plastic lines years ago , I removed all the old copper because that’s what I was dealing with when I bought my house , old clogged lines .

Yes
I have that same refrigerator and within two weeks the water/ice panel buttons won’t switch. Now the display light has disappeared. Would you happen to know if you have heard about this problem and perhaps a solution. Thanks!
Yeah sound like your circuit board is going , this happened a lot on all newer appliances

Not at all !! In this video I left the water on .
I put the new cartridge in and water is running out into my refrigerator HELP!,
Turn your water line off first , then check that your filter looks the same as the old one , check for missing or pinched o-rings , lastly it may not have been fully locked into place .

I replace the filter but now the ice maker is not making ice any one knows why
Try the buttons on the door , I have accidentally locked mine off before.

buy a water tester from amazon. and test the filter that you're using and a genuine Samsung filter. you'll thank me later.
