The best video on RUclips. You clearly showed how to put the filter in. Most videos on RUclips don’t show these very important steps, I could not get to put my new filter back in after taking out the old one but after watching your video…it was very easy to do. Thanks for your very informative and helpful video.
Glad I found this video. My filter went out today, and I bought a new one from Lowe's also. The thing is, it's been about 4 hours since I've replaced it and it still isn't making any ice (I have an ice-only model). Then I noticed how you turned your filter while installing. I was doing quarter turn counter-clockwise to take out the old filter, and quarter turn clockwise to replace. I just did your method and heard the filter sound off as I did the 180 degree turn. Fingers crossed.
I was wondering about that. I have had other brands of refrigerator/freezers and never had to shut the water off. I think the water shutoff is behind the fridge which would mean I would need to move the fridge to change the filter.
In my current Samsung refrigerator (circa 2009), you don't need to shut off the water supply to change the filter (removing the filter somehow stops the flow). Has anyone tried doing it on this newer model without turning off the water supply? I'd bet many shutoff valves are BEHIND the refrigerator, which makes this a total pain in the you-know-what every six months Thanks
I don't have the strength to pull out my fridge to turn off the water tap, so I just turned off the water to the house for a few minutes while I completed this task.

Thank you. You simplified it and I've done it before, but this time you made it very clear. Thank you
Thank you. Your video was so helpful and efficiently produced! I watched it twice, now I will attempt the change. : )
Really helpful. I had a hard time putting my filter back. You saved me !
Same man it took forever. Also when I incorrectly replaced it, it flooded my house.

I’m having the same issue. A tech even came out and they still didn’t fix it!
Did yours start working after you did this?
Thanks . I didn’t find much info on comparison for other brand water filters vs the OEM
Your video is the best by far. Thank you!!
Thank you, made it very easy for me to change. I didnt need to turn the water supply off though.
Thanks so much for the video! FYI, I did not have to shut my water off and I only had two drops of water to cleaning up.

What if my fridge only has an ice maker and no water dispenser? How do I run the water through?
Extremely helpful, Thanks!!🎉
Thanks 🙏 😊
My filter seems stuck in the fridge. Any ideas why? It definitely needs changed but I dont know how to get it out. Thanks
Very precise. Thank you!
Needed this. Thanks
Thank you so much.

I have a 2016 model. No need to turn off the water supply. Just replace the filter and run water through for a few minutes.

What if refrigerator doesn’t have water filter

Reality, you do not have to turn off the water to anything when changing our the filter.
Can not remove filtet
1 minute to change filter 5 minutes to open the packaging
Run the water 7 minutes? I could fill a bathtub.
