Shut off the water valve under the sink to the refrig before you replace the water filter, it lessens the pressure on the water line to the filter and makes it easier to replace it. Don't forget to turn the water on after you replace the filter.
Any one know why my Samsung fridge stop dispensing ice and water and it's on lock mode. May it be I need to change the filter? I dont know anything about this someone please help
Mi fridge is exactly the same and bought exactly the same filter, I change it but the water comes dirty like so much particles or something and is no longer coming out cold water :/

I just tried this and when I unlocked my filter water came gushing out! I had to quickly put it back in the Locked position but now it's still leaking. Same model Samsung
@@mariannwest8909 you should not have to turnthe water off to the refrigerator. Sounds like you may have an issue with the check valve not closing when you remove the filter. Given your circumstance, I'd turn off the water supply until you replace the filter and then turn it back on.
For some reason my filter keeps getting pushed out when I try to screw it in. Like it pops out and When I add more pressure, it won’t go in. What am I doing wrong?
I know exactly what you need to do, I struggled with this until I turned off the water valve under the sink to the refrigerator before placing the new cartridge in. It lessens the water pressure and the new cartridge will go it like magic. Don't forget to turn the water on after you place the new cartridge in.
It takes some strength so don't be afraid to turn it counter clockwise as hard as you can. Mine was hard too. I tried with both hands for different leverage. Finally got it out! Good luck.
@@supersaiyan196 No need to turn off the water supply. You will have a few dribbles of water that come out of the filter when you remove it but nothing to be alarmed about.
Thank you SO MUCH! I haven't changed my filter in years because I couldn't figure out how. You made this so easy for me. Very helpful.
My fridge is the exact same just a different color! So glad you posted this! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! Very simple process to follow. Thanks again for sharing!

How does the filter light go off? Changed mines and still on
Does your Samsung Fridge get too cold even when you turn down???
Do you have to push to turn?
When removing, you simply turn. When reinstalling, you will need to apply inward pressure while turning.
Thank you really needed this.

Do you need to turn off water supply behind the fridge? I can't move the fridge.
No need to turn the water supply off.
@@kurt_diy the filter won't turn, I tried pushing and turning but it won't.

great video thank you
Did you turn the water supply off, first?
No need to turn the water off first. There is a check valve that will not allow the water to leak out.
