Absolutely nailed it. I'm miles away from your skills but you're an inspiration for me to keep gaining experience!

Hey buddy, your being far too kind! Its took me a long time to get more confident, doing something like this you really need a microscope, a digital zoom on a camera will work but goes a bit grainy.
It took me years before I could afford to get a digital microscope so repairs can be done without them but just a little harder.
Just keep practicing, buying faulty stuff as cheap as possible is the best thing to do, try and fix anything, especially if its cheap!

@fixingmoddingbuilding Thanks! I do have a $10 microscope that works fine for installing modchips, but it just doesn't look clear enough. Plus the LEDs pointing right at the PCB makes some parts look very dim and others like metal look as bright as the sun.
I want to upgrade to a better one. Andonstars seem great, but I need a separate scope that I can mount on an arm to move freely.

I probably did it when I first started trying to fix but sometimes you need to know when to stop as you're making the issue worse!
Glad you got the fix though, it makes it more satisfying!

I had a cheap one that would do the job you don’t have to break the bank

I use this one, very cheap!

Up until now it has done everything I needed but I needed to remove a large chip off a ps5 and I couldn't do it!
So they have there limits, I will need to buy a more expensive one (reluctantly) but can't afford it currently!
But overall a cheap one is good enough to begin with, I have always tried to repair on a budget!
