I like to "try" and fix, I like to "try" and mod, I will give anything a go but I am no expert, what's the worst that will happen?!!
I have made mistakes, I have been lucky but I aim to improve on every repair learn from the last and improve every time.
My aim is to buy faulty items and save them from the bin. I try and buy items that I can keep, give to my kids or family or use myself.
I seem to mainly pickup Switches, but will give any console or electrical item an attempted fix!
Feel free to make video recommendations or requests.

Sort of gives it a kick start?
Use a multimeter to take the guesswork out of whether you connected the resistors to the flex cable. I set mine to ohms resistance, and then continuity. As long as they respond, you're fine.
How long did it take to install this?
This was the second one I did so was a bit quicker, maybe under an hour? Need to go slow with this as there is a lot that can go wrong!
@fixingmoddingbuilding I was asking because I recently sent my switch to be modded, and I just wonder how long it normally takes
Thanks a lot! Replaced the battery, did not work. Kick booted it with CFW, everything works perfectly!! Thanks again!! Though I did not need amidship, just entered RCM and booted hekate

You can easily click on his youtube channel's video, then look at the oldest uploaded videos and you will see one of his early uploads from 6 years ago about his Gameboy Advanced Zero spi screen... he had already made another one a year before that.

What did you change in mobo b? It doesn’t seem like it was the LCD driver, which, when it fails, makes the Switch to have no image but the backlight, touchscreen and sound still work. I know that because I had to change the chip from mine and now it’s working again

@@fixingmoddingbuildingI don’t see any image at all on that screen. A damaged LCD driver will cause only the backlight, touch and sound to work but show no image at all. I damaged one while modding a Switch Lite. It’s the BD8316 chip

Hello, i installed this to 2 switch lite, 1 works normally and the other 1 if i restart it goes directly to OFW not to hekate menu, only if i turn off the switch it goes to hekate on next boot up, you think it could be the B point not being solder properly?
I would start with solder points, then maybe question a fault on the mod board?

If we don't have skills to repair it like that can i just buy a new motherboard and replace it all, will be easy for me to that way.. it will work?
The disc drive only works with the married motherboard, probably easier to buy a new console
This guide worked extremely well for us. While i wasn't able to do the soldering because i have no micro soldering experience and barely any regular soldering experience, however i had a family member that did and we were able to get it working first try!

Kudos for buying from gasperr-10 I've seen them sell a lot of broken stuff. I'd be tempted if it wasn't for the bad feedback. My golden rule has always been never buy / bid from anyone who has less then 98% feedback

@fixingmoddingbuilding I finished it yesterday. Unfortunately, the last screw wouldn't screw in, and the SD card wouldn't read. I fixed the SD card, but the screw not so much.

No you don't, just need an rcm launcher to soft boot it. Hard modded I think it's better as it boots it self each time without needing an external device but soft modded obviously needs no soldering!

Man I finally received the microscope, and yesterday I could complete the soldering, and before re-assembly I got the no-sd screen, but when I put back the aluminium sheet, and turn on the switch, it starts normally, I tried using more tape everywhere but it I can't find where it culd be making bad contact. To mention that it only shows the no-sd w/o the aluminium thing any ideas? Thanks for everything!
I think I have it now. I took the console apart again, until I got to the flex solder, I did some continuity checks, I cleaned the circuits and I put it back together, being careful to put tape in the places that could have contact, very similar to what you have in your tutorial. And that's it, it now works with the aluminum sheet. Greetings!
Glad its sorted, I would have thought either a bad solder point or something shorted, but sounds like you are all sorted now. Now you can enjoy it!
That guy's docking station looks crusty and musty and so does the top of their switch by the little great that allows air for the fan. So from my reasoning and deduction it looks as though they never wiped the switch or the docking station off so it could have been from all the dust and other crusty musty crap that got into the electronic parts either on the switch or the docking station.

Hi thanks I had the same error code on a Switch lite that I have been working on. I was about to give up because I already swapped out the M92 from a another board. I put on a new M92 chip and that solved my problems. On that one anyway
I've done a few Repairs in the past when I have swapped the m92 a few times before fixing, not sure if bad chips which I have heard a lot of or bad soldering?
What can i do by a blue srceen or no screen ?
Means issue with one of the main chips, either a reflow or a reball.
