My Dad has a new/un-fired 1981 version of this. I saw this pistol at My local gun store. $1,200. I think I'll pick one up when I can. I've heard 1911's are awesome! Great video.
Gorgeous - I have about 5 pairs of the Herett skip checkered grip as well. Yes, Colt is my favorite as well. CZ has done Colt good, by the way. Colt on their own has driven themselves to the edge of bankruptcy dozens of times because they tend to have retired generals, and figureheads who have zero Buissness acumen parachuted in charge of the company as political favors.
I got a new Python and a GCNM and I think in a few decades or so these will be considered some of the earliest of the CZ produced models of these guns. You know how collectors categorize all the various owners over a company's lifetime. These, I believe, will be decent.
How is the slide to frame fit of these? I only want to buy a gold cup if they don’t have much slop or rattle to them. I’ve been looking at them and the Dan Wesson Specialist.
The Colt Gold Cup National Match specifically in 9mm was Marion Cobrette's gun in the movie Cobra. 😎💪👍 Some people think it was a 45acp but in fact it was a 9mm.

That's a nice one, too.
Beautiful Colt! Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
Sweet looking Colt 1911 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another awesome 1911 J.W. Thanks for the review, Slim.
You bet
That M is for Metalform. Metalform rounded nosed follower magazines with the welded baseplate only rarely, rarely if ever fail.
Beautiful pistol TY for sharing
A Colt is a Colt. Solid 1911s. I don’t think you can do better.
Fine Fine Pistol great video...
Recently picked up a 2022 colt G 45 competition series. The trigger is heavy, near 4# 10 oz. Have a c&s sear, hammer kit on order.

I just picked one out yesterday. Mine’s is chambered in .45 ACP.
Good comparison between the old and the new.

Love this pistol
Beautiful pistol
Thanks trees.
Nice !
Thanks!
Very nice
Thanks
Are these forged frames and slides? They don’t advertise it so I can only assume they’re cast.
Si what kind of ammo should we not use?
I heard that Check-Mate made their mags.
Traditional or ramped barrel?
You must put the COBRA grips on the gun and get glazer safety slugs for the mags.
Where you buy those grips?
I made them.
Thanks for watching.
I have the series 70 Government model thats the reissue made in 2007
Original grips are better, sorry.

Loaded with Glaser blue tips
I have an 80 Series with the collet bushing. I hate it. Not very accurate.
