I love Link and his outlook on life, this episode just made it much better to understand him. Not just as a creator but a dad, husband, and friend. He’s such a kind and thoughtful human. One of the many reasons why I love starting my weekdays with GMM ❤️
This is why I forced my grandpa to write down my favorite of his recipes a few years ago, so they wouldn’t die with him. He passed in September and I’m so glad I did. I haven’t tried to make any. I can’t cook or bake, but the possibility exists to try now. Though I missed some. Bless grandma’s heart, she tried to recreate some Christmas cookies of his. They were hard as rocks, but I ate some anyway.
I was lucky enough to get my dad to write down his big recipe about a year before he passed. I am grateful not just to have the recipe but to have it in his handwriting.
Try them now. You will have a better chance at recreating when the memory is still fresh. People notoriously forget what they may have added or a trick or two. It's trial and error
Crab legs are my favorite food ever, and the top of my 'last meal' list, so watching Link pull that huge crab leg perfectly out of the shell, while Josh was talking about spreading joy to the people watching.. That was a perfect moment for me.
Link always has a way of grinding my gears in GMM due to his personality and control issues. After watching this, I think I realized its probably because we have personality commonalities so watching him is like watching the parts of myself I don't like. After saying that, seeing him talk about accepting his faults and his weaknesses really helped put my own thoughts together.
Do you listen to ear biscuits? I think you would like it bc link really gets more into who he really is off camera. Maybe you can relate even more to him with it lol
It brought tears to my eyes when Link talked about his nanny’s fried chicken and how he can never taste it again because it made me think of my grandma’s rice and her chuchitos which are like little tamales we make in Guatemala and how I will never taste that food again because it went with her. I wish I could’ve asked her or seen her make them so that I had an idea but now it is just a memory of some of the best I had or will ever have. Thank you link because although it hurt to realize this it also takes me back to the joy of that day when we ate with my grandma and how we all wanted more but there weren’t any left, just a smile on her face.
Man I clicked this expecting a ton of joking around and funny moments, and while there was definitely some of that, seeing that real side of Link and his incredible answers to Joshes even better questions was amazing.
I love that his choice of how to handle it was, "you do know that about yourself, right?" Like, "I already said it, may as well commit!" I relate to that panic response so well 😂
I really enjoyed this. I find myself connecting with Rhett more, especially in the way he thinks so deeply and methodically about life and existence. Rhett’s last meal was full of a lot more deep thought and Link was just here to eat food from Josh he actually likes. But it makes me appreciate not only Link as an individual but everyone else that doesn’t think in the same pattern as I do. We all analyze life differently and that’s important to how we grow as a species.
I love how Josh is asking the hard questions he know Link doesn't want to answer, and not quite giving up on some sort of answer right away. The whole catch-22 portion was really well done, and done by any lesser employee who doesn't want to tick off their boss, this line of questioning could have gone so differently.
I skimmed through the comments expecting someone to say something about how vulnerable and heartwrenching 28:59 was. Anyone could tell how anxious this video made Link and when he said that I felt his peace. It was beautiful. I'm really glad he did this.
I have been waiting for this ever since Rhett did his, and it's now here! Also, kind of odd having your bosses eat their last meal then going to their own funeral afterwards where they're roasted to death 😂
This is such an amazing series. Josh does such a great job moving from his crazy goofy personality on mythical kitchen to dealing with these heavy and deep topics but still providing some comedic relief. Amazing work 👏🏻👏🏻
I feel fulfilled and motivated after watching this video. Sometimes this is what we need. Other times, we need the "silly as hell"/escapist content. As long as you are able to love what you do, we'll also enjoy it. It is sometimes the spectators' responsibility to be honest with themselves and ensure that the content they are clicking on is what they want to see (and kind enough not to hate on the content that is just simply not for them)
I love this interview. I am fairly new to GMM but it has already had such an impact on my life. Especially, Link. I relate so much to him and I feel like people don’t always give him enough credit. 10/10

You could really tell, in comparison to the other Last Meal episodes, that Link and Josh have a pretty good relationship with each other. The conversation felt so casual.
There needs to be a duo though. Who do you wanna pair him with? Trevor? I don't think Nicole is interested in that kind of thing. But most importantly, who would you recommend for taking over Stevie's job?
I remember this episode of Bear Grills where he survived in the desert, there is this tribe there and they teach him about stuff, all in all at a point they cut open a goat's nut sack, pulls the testicle and gives them to Bear to eat it raw, the dude almost puked. Link reminded me of that goat.
I've been watching GMM for years and Link's usually bringing the funnies and the comedy. It's nice to see him on a deeper level. Also Link can totally rock a beard!
Not link agreeing to come on the show and then not wanting to think or talk about death 😂 good job Josh for getting him to actually have some things to say

Didn't he looks like Metro Man from Megamind
I love that look. Not to be weird or anything, but it's so attractive.
yeah, like he finally hung up the Master Sword, married Zelda, and became king
@@promisedjubileedaniels I very much prefer him beardless (he has a nice jaw), but he's attractive either way, tbh. Obviously he should do whatever he wants, of course (as long as Christy approves!) And no, not trying to be weird, either, lol. His devotion to her is a big part of his appeal!
I love Link and his outlook on life, this episode just made it much better to understand him. Not just as a creator but a dad, husband, and friend. He’s such a kind and thoughtful human. One of the many reasons why I love starting my weekdays with GMM ❤️
Same!
Send me some recipes I would love to try to create them
I think Link is getting better looking as he gets older.
Crab legs are my favorite food ever, and the top of my 'last meal' list, so watching Link pull that huge crab leg perfectly out of the shell, while Josh was talking about spreading joy to the people watching.. That was a perfect moment for me.
The joy on Link's face when he cracked open the big crab leg .... that's pure joy
Wasn't expecting the story about Christy texting and asking if Link was happy to be the thing to make me cry today, but here we are.
That's amazingly perceptive. I hope that helps you work through some things. 💜
I find I do this with some people. They frustrate me so much because I identify with them so much. I love that you have had that insight! Good job!
Now hold on your comment might have made me realize some things
Link is the biggest party pooper but the only one that I've ever liked more than I hated.
At 3:22 when Link bounces back to Josh "I have an obsession with control?" and Josh looks off camera as if to say "Did I say that out loud?!" 😆
He looks off camera for support and says: “Friends?” Like he was wanting some help.
I love that his choice of how to handle it was, "you do know that about yourself, right?" Like, "I already said it, may as well commit!" I relate to that panic response so well 😂
This is about to be the Mythical Kitchen's version Hot Ones, I can just see it blowing up at that level.
This last meal is one of the weirdest ones but it also makes perfect sense. Link's mind is definitely a fascinating place 💯👽
But there is no Peanut Butter....I am SHOCKED AND CONCERNED
@@mslovelyshot now that I think about it that is indeed concerning 😱
I wish Link could try his nanny’s fried chicken one more time 😢
I really enjoyed this.
The whole catch-22 portion was really well done, and done by any lesser employee who doesn't want to tick off their boss, this line of questioning could have gone so differently.
yessss!!! i scrolled down specifically to find a comment that echoed how I felt :D
I skimmed through the comments expecting someone to say something about how vulnerable and heartwrenching 28:59 was. Anyone could tell how anxious this video made Link and when he said that I felt his peace. It was beautiful. I'm really glad he did this.
not only do i love link’s meal but his approach to it and his nervousness about it is so endearing😂🖤🖤🖤
I just realized why I love this series so much. There is no crunching/eating noises in the sound mixing ❤🙏🏼 perfect. Thank you.
16:00 Rhett is such a beautiful human and this video was skraight up wholesome
I have been waiting for this ever since Rhett did his, and it's now here! Also, kind of odd having your bosses eat their last meal then going to their own funeral afterwards where they're roasted to death 😂
I think it's really sweet, that one of Link's last meals would be something his Mom would make.
I love Josh’s chaos but I love his seriousness in this series too. He’s such a great interviewer.
Josh is a great interviewer, and this is a genius format. Really loving the show!!!
Big thanks to Josh, Link and team for a wonderful interview, it really got me in a personal space, felt good.
I'd love to see Dave Grohl on this. I feel like he would give really good conversations and answers
Have you seen Dave on Hot Ones? He totally took over the show, haha.
'It's not about having the big answers, its about having the small moments." -Link Neal 2023. I need this as a shirt!!!
“I was my mythical best!” BRILLIANT!
“I fear no man, but that thing”
*chocolate chipless cookies*
“It scares me”
This is such an amazing series. Josh does such a great job moving from his crazy goofy personality on mythical kitchen to dealing with these heavy and deep topics but still providing some comedic relief. Amazing work 👏🏻👏🏻
All my years watching content from Mythical Entertainment, I have never seen this side of Link. Was awesome seeing this last meal.
5:37 I’m glad he said that and some fans needed to hear that out loud. Also he looks incredible here.
I feel like Markiplier would be an entertaining person to have on last meal :)
+1
we all know what one of the items on the list would be... Takis Fuego. And he would probably find a way so use Taki dust on every other dish.
YESS I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT
Markiplier on seriously any episode, mythical kitchen or not, him and the mythical crew need to get together!!
PLEASE NO
I feel fulfilled and motivated after watching this video. Sometimes this is what we need. Other times, we need the "silly as hell"/escapist content. As long as you are able to love what you do, we'll also enjoy it. It is sometimes the spectators' responsibility to be honest with themselves and ensure that the content they are clicking on is what they want to see (and kind enough not to hate on the content that is just simply not for them)
Link, I admire your willingness to do the best you can in spite of not knowing the big answers. Mad respect, I hope you won't have too many worries.
We need a short of Link's expression when he pulled that crab leg out of the shell. That's pure joy.
lol it almost seems like he wasnt even processing what josh was saying, so good
@@ryansyme5900 poor Josh haha! It's a great moment from the episode
Also of the happy excited for food dance that he did @8:37 ! Pure joy lol
Lol, he definitely was NOT processing what Josh was saying..He was so proud of himself in that moment 🤭
Josh “Do you have any traditions that you will pass on to your kids?” Link “pour the milk” I died.
Josh has really been able to show off his versatility and talent in this series. It's amazing how much talent the Mythical team has.
I love this interview. I am fairly new to GMM but it has already had such an impact on my life. Especially, Link. I relate so much to him and I feel like people don’t always give him enough credit. 10/10
Mythical truly is one of the best companies to ever exist. I love you all so much. You have made such a lasting impact on my life and I'm so thankful for everything you do.
The milk slowly dripping down the unused spoon while Link started in on his profound statement was perfect
Rhett and Link are two of the very few people who seem to be down to Earth despite their success and fame.
This was a great look at Link. He came off as very sincere.
You could really tell, in comparison to the other Last Meal episodes, that Link and Josh have a pretty good relationship with each other. The conversation felt so casual.
I love Link so, so much. I have never related to someone more than when he said the execution would be for something "coming out wrong."
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF BRINGING JOY TO PEOPLES LIVES!!!!
Link's face when he got the really big piece of crab meat made my night. Just pure joy.
Josh his life flash before his eyes when Link said “Do I have an obsession with control?”
Josh seems to be the most logical choice to take over when Rett and Link are done, dude has so much energy
There needs to be a duo though. Who do you wanna pair him with? Trevor? I don't think Nicole is interested in that kind of thing. But most importantly, who would you recommend for taking over Stevie's job?
@@aishamapara4803 Stevie + Josh would work I think
He stinks
I forgot how much a vibe bearded Linc is. It lends him an air of authority.
Link is such a wholesome guy♥️ Love him so much. Him wanting to chose Christy for his last meal is so sweet😭♥️
Link's final words were PERFECT
Link looks SO good with a beard!!!
great beard indeed
I remember this episode of Bear Grills where he survived in the desert, there is this tribe there and they teach him about stuff, all in all at a point they cut open a goat's nut sack, pulls the testicle and gives them to Bear to eat it raw, the dude almost puked.
Link reminded me of that goat.
God, Link looks so good with longer hair + beard. And the silver is SO GOOD!
I've been watching GMM for years and Link's usually bringing the funnies and the comedy. It's nice to see him on a deeper level.
Also Link can totally rock a beard!
Love the dried dog food as a nod to GMM!
Josh’s monologue on free will is so relatable and on point. Damn it hit me in the feels.
Not link agreeing to come on the show and then not wanting to think or talk about death 😂 good job Josh for getting him to actually have some things to say
Josh should be #1 top spot in everyone’s nightmare blunt rotation and this video has really cemented that for me
i couldn’t have related more to the part where he talked about getting approval from the outside. love seeing the softer side
