I think some of the victorian children might have been eating salt fish though, because refrigeration wasn't a thing.

@@discoj7112Refrigeration just looked different. Ice farmers were a thing, they could deliver ice to your freezer. You could take your stuff to the local freezer. Or in some places, you can just dig a hole under your house and it will keep your food chilled and fresh for a very long time. Some people would literally preserve their food in mud, no salt needed. But there would have been more people back then depending on salted fish, true.

I went to high school with Brittany and can confirm. We were never close but, We have no choice but to stan.
I wish this episode was 2 hours long, they're so on the same wavelength. Josh and Brittany are both so funny, intelligent, well-spoken and humble at the same time, and they never take themselves too seriously. If we have to be "influenced" by anyone, I'm glad it's them!

Britney broski is the person I aspire to become, she is so intelligent in every way. She has incredible social skills, she is funny and very individual in who she is as a person, if that makes sense. She can always add and contribute to a conversation, no matter the subject. I think I look up to her so much is because she connects to her own audience incredibly well, but also she can connect to any other type of audience. Because of her intelligence. Because of her individuality. I love her so much in the way that she is such a incredible human. As well as a woman. I will never stop supporting her.

I'm half way through while also reading comments and I'll say this, Brittany is the ONLY creator I know to be on multiple podcasts where the feedback is immensely positive ALWAYS and it's so deserving. Her humor is out of this world and so intelligent. She's goofy but knows how to get serious and then goofy again. I think Josh is the perfect person for her personality professionally with his amazing question asking ability. Usually she's asked the same few questions and is made to talk about the same things multiple times but he really did a good job and I feel he did his research to deliberately not ask the same things everyone else has. Such a great episode.
If she hasn't been on hot ones, she needs to be! I feel like Sean would ask some amazing questions too, even if she can't handle spice lol.

She knows how to conform and how to deviate from the norm, she went to fkn school and got an actual education and knows the difference between there, their, and they’re.
She understands the real impact of religion, education, and politics on the United States and knows how to interact in balance with all of it.
And that’s how NORMAL fkn people are. That’s what people should be.
You should understand and be exposed to the extremes of all sides of culture and politics and be so well educated that you genuinely know how to align yourself centered and move with life and politics and education and religion how you feel is correct without extremism or exclusion of others beliefs.

i love that he took the time to research who hes getting in a room with. he referenced videos, fanfics she wrote, when she met harry styles etc. most interviewers and collabs only do it for the money and views and dont even know anything about who theyre talking to. i love brittany, this was so fun to watch
It broke my heart to hear Brittany gets hate to the point where she wants to walk away from content creation. She is on the same level as Jenna Marbles to me where when I watch them it feels like I’m laughing along to jokes with friends. Both of them bring so much light to people’s world.

Honestly, Hot Ones is amazing the host is amazing. But I love Last Meal more than Hot Ones. The conversations feel so much deeper and honest obviously because they chose to talk about last meal and death as the first opening lines.
I personally don’t consume Brittany’s content, but her on last meals was a true gift. She seems like a genuine lovely human. I absolutely love this series. It’s so enjoyable to watch Josh just sit down and connect with someone over their favorite foods. He is a great interviewer and able to ask his guests some really deep questions in a lighthearted way.
Yeah I’m not a fan of her past content but I love her on podcasts.

Brittany Broski is the one in a million. She’s incredibly funny but also well spoken, we made the right person famous.
In interviews with Brittany I am always so impressed by her presence. She is so able to express herself and immediately respond to the things the other guests are saying. She is so in the moment and intriguing! She is such a joy to watch!

As someone from East Texas who’s about the same age as Brittany, I can relate to her religious trauma/hiding your true self/feeling free floating and almost isolated from family so much it’s wild.

I went to high school in East Texas and it honestly made my south Texas Hispanic Catholic upbringing look liberal AF.
Went to high school in Livingston TX, could not get out fast enough.

This was a genuine joy to watch. The way they both freely communicated with one another and felt comfortable to be open and honest was so refreshing. While there’s a “script” of questions to be asked it didn’t feel manufactured at all and very natural.
