MB5490 No it won't. Even if it does come at some point it will be years later. They already said their committed to the PS4 and the PC version is coming next. And that they have no plans for an Xbox One version. So I wouldn't hold your breath.
I will feel like Christopher Columbus and all the other European explorers who risked their lives to go out and explore the unknown. Not risking life and limb but the thought that you can go to any planet in which even the devs don't even know what is in it brings in that feeling or exploration. The thought that this is coming from an Indie team of like 5 people is astounding and better than most triple A titles.I will be picking this up when it comes out :D
I AM BEYOND HYPE FOR THIS GAME! Curiosity is what drives me. To never know what you may encounter next is unbelievable! How big this game is amazes me. I honestly don't think i could stop until I reach the center of the Galaxy. Hello Games, I can't wait to explore what you have created.
i know what the middle of the galaxy is : it shows it at the logo, the floating no mans sky triangle because under it is the same big light seen when you are in galaxy mode.
I like the game, though my predictions are as follows: The game will recieve roughly 7/8 out of tens, with words like "ambitious" and "small team" used to justify why the concept of the game doesn't hold up to the hype that we're all experiencing now. But that it's still a "worthwhile experience" even if it isn't as good as we thought it was going to be. And that the game is a "step in the right direction" for gaming. This guy may be an indie developer, but he is marketing this shit like a pro!
Screw the reviews, I will judge the game based on my experience, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to adore this game. And Sean is probably the most lovable dev ever.
Correct, but People were shocked a bit more by the hype train derailment. It's an ok game, but don't and hello game marketed it to be an excellent game
I'm too damn excited for this. This is the game I've always wanted as a kid!! What I really want to know is, what's up with those buildings in some of the planets? They look manmade. Maybe it's either from a player, or a dinosaur with opposable thumbs. Shit, maybe they're built by motherfucking aliens!!!
I can't deny that I'm excited about No Man's Sky for it endless universe, but also I'm afraid that the game play will be mostly around exploration and wandering those endless galaxies and planets.
This is how i felt when i played the first mass effect :) and i would happily say, that this game will be essentially the same as being next Mass Effect game series :)
I think the best way to approach the wait for this game is to not have expectations. I'm just going to let it arrive and hit me with what it's got. I'm sure they aren't telling us a lot which I completely understand and support. I cannot wait to see what this game has in store.
This looks great. There is lots of big up coming space exploration games that I am looking forward to on PC, No Man's Sky, Elite Dangerous and of course Star Citizen. Then there's Star Fox for WiiU which I want also.
This game could go two ways: Either it wil blow everyones mind and bring revolution to gaming, or it could suck hairy balls and be forgotten about it a matter of weeks. Either way, I love the creativity and the fact that they dare to do something extraordinary. Wether it'll be great of bad, I respect their courage :)
a good idea would be if everyone was heading to the center of the universe they would surely meet so there should be a city planet or like a multiplayer hub where you unlock a lot of multiplayer abilities to chat and warp to friends positions would open up a whole new reason to play if you fancied it
So you are telling me that a company THIS small made a game as amazing as this? They made a couple of apps then go on to something like this? Incredible...
Just seems way to good to be true but if somehow they manage to pull this off this could easily be the most revolutionizing game on consoles in the past decade
I like the idea but its hard to keep the idea of constant searching and a new frontier going since your planets will just end up random numbers, explored, or similar to EVE but if they get constant community updates might help constant ideas will keep it alive.
I wish everyone would stop saying how revolutionary this game is. Im very excited for it,and I think it will be an amazing experience. But procedurally generated sci fi planets and space has been done by David Brabens Frontier, which was made in 1991
The first Playstation had a game where you could fly from outer space down to the planet's surface. The map seemed huge but it wasn't. If you flew to the edge of the map, you would come out on the other side of the map. Does anyone remember that title?
The concept will change the industry, but its the execution of it that waits to be seem... Really hopeful for this game. It doesnt have to be realistic, i actually like stylization. Just make it believable and dont tell us we can do something that just turns out to be a gimmick.
In the center of the galaxy is a Black hole and its a portal to another galaxy... then you start again but harder, and you rejoins all those galaxy... that would be amazing
The lead developper said you will be able to get to the center of the galaxy and for most it will be the end of the game. There is a path to it and you can light speed
No no it would take 500 Billion years to go to all 18 quintillion planets in the game. You can get to the center of the universe in roughly 40 days I think Sean said at one point. But 40 days spread out across everything else you're doing in your life will probably equal several months to possibly a year to complete.
I hope Microsoft realizes one day that dishing indie developers is a big mistake. Meanwhile, I'll be trying to reach the center of the Universe on my PS4 :)
This looks better than most indie games which just try to be 16 bit sidescrolling platforming pieces of crap. This is what an indie studio should be. Making ambitious pure fun titles. Some examples include Fez, Super meat boy, Spelunky, etc. All lame half assed, lazy, unfun games that idiots always fall for.
Its funny, with all the positive and negative comments about this game, no one can understand the scope of the universe Hello Games has created. People talking about planet destroyers and trolls all over the place. Chances are we will only actually see one or two people through out the entire life span of this game (unless they release a dedicated PVP/player interaction destination, which they have hinted at doing). Think about all 7-8 billion inhabitants of Earth. Now imagine throwing every individual out on to one of the billions of stars/solar systems and we'd still have a pretty empty galaxy. Now scale that down to the millions that will play this game (hopefully) in an infinite universe with to-scale planets and interstellar distances. We will never have to worry about things to do, unexplored planets to discover, resources to exploit, species to admire, ships to plunder or protect, etc. The simple fact that we might never be able to truly realize the depth, size, and sheer unpredictability of this game (that includes the Devs) gets me excited and actually giddy to get my hands on the product these passionate people are creating.
Developers said that it's going to be exclusive for ps4 but they would love to have a PC version of the game. As for Xbox one on the other hand its not confirmed
If Elite did the impossible in the 80's then I see no reason why NMS can't do the same today. Personally I look forward to this but I think they are promising more than they can provide but happy to be proven wrong.
So what is the plot? The end goal? As of now all I see is exploration with some ship battles. I hope it has more to offer, because if not this game will become boring rather quickly. It looks very cool, with a great concept. There just needs to be more meat on the skeleton. It has potential, but I dont know if it will ever be truely great.
Brendan Forish I understand. It just seems like the computing power it would take to do that is astronomical. Impossible. I guess my question is technical.
Well think about it. There is about 7 billion people just on Earth right? And from what I know these planets are going to be about the same size so I would think there is enough planets :)
GuysInABlender I mean, how can a computer compute all that information and keep it up to date, on top of those thousands of players. Seems like that hardware for something like that would be insane.
Seems amazing. I think everyone is wondering how the actual outcome may be and honestly we may be disappointed. Also what if millions make it to the center?? But anyways.. Even if its awful I think anyone who likes the concept should still purchase it just so the world can see what kind of attention and money it can bring so either they can make another ("no mans sky 2") with thier big $$ lol or possibly a big name company that has a large team can make what were looking forward to.
i dont think its meant to be action or anything like a norm game i think its meant to be an experience like that game dust or what ever it was named where you get put in a desert and you try to get to the mounten. its its own game
3choBlaster Dude shut up with that. Just because someone doesn't like a game doesn't automatically make him a fanboy or an xbox fan at all. And also, is there something wrong with that?
3choBlaster Why are you taking this "SOOO" seriously? If he hates on the PS4, that really shouldn't offend you. You announce that he's "always hating on PS4" as if shots have been fired or some shit. It's like someone making fun of the lead thickness you use in your mechanical pencil. It shouldn't even mean anything.
Would be cool if they can add to the game something like destney the game. For 80 different kind of aliens with each there own kind of guns with each haveing a City of there own. From 60,80,100 per city and if a city is wiped out a different one replace it in a different location in that planet .100 types of guns would be cool to use throught the planets
they have said things about being with friends but this is a galaxy sized galaxy you will never meet anyone unless you can tp to each other so having it set up to keep checking to see if players are in range is a waste of your computers resources
1:51 is that the thing from the movie "Oblivion"? in any case, it would flop on consoles if it was just a repetative procedurally gened world with some skirmishes. but it'd flourish on PC with all the mods it could have. I'd also hate to say this but I feel it must be said....I hated the dude who was speaking....I don't hate him so much as I hate his voice, the way he spoke was like a tripover all the time.
so u land on a planet and look around but then what? I mean it looks awesome but he hasn't really given a lot of details. maybe its too early for that I dunno
well they have said there is an enemy that does something you don't like (this enemy will evolve during development so they wont give us details till the game is almost done) and the predatory animals on planets will try to kill you and in space pirates and things will try to kill you so there will be plenty of action. Your goal get to the center of the universe (the reason wil also likely change so don't expect details soon)
Why you going to make a game without beta no game has ever done that you're just getting the Realtor exited people angry. I know this wasn't mentioned in this video but I've watched many other bids on this title and I know what you're doing here
I'm just as hopeful as anyone that the game will be awesome but let's be realistic. There are limitations and it's a Indie title not triple A so the budget won't be as big nor will the team. After maybe the fourth planet things will begin to repeat and patterns will form, some planet may be identical but with different colour variations or animals you have seen before repeating in different combinations and most planets will be baron and empty lifeless wastelands. This is just my prediction though but I don't know. Just think how varied can an entire galaxy be on a console with current tech. An entire galaxy. We can just about simulate detailed city's like watch dogs or Skyrim.
Gol. D Rodger will have to see what the pvp is like which could be it's saving factor.. also the graphics were not "the best" so there is hope they committed system resources to more important things. but yea finding the center of the galaxy will be no big deal after you read about it on the forums.
Who would have thought the guys behind Joe Danger would have made such an epic game like this....Wow!
I love the vision.... This makes me want a PS4
***** First on PS4..... then PC, however it's not confirmed for XBOne
***** Its not on Xbox One. Hello Games only makes Mobile, PS3/4 and PC games.
***** It's not coming to Xbox One.
alin alin it is
MB5490 No it won't.
You do know he wasn't being at all preachy about chris being a nice guy right?
Just try not to enslave anyone
I suppose you could go to a world already inhabited by intelligent life (artificial intelligence, albeit) and still claim you discovered it.
+Kyran Sawhill He's the first of our kind to discover it.
We don't really know what "kind" the player would be in No Man's Sky, or if it'd be the exact same as every other player.
No man's sky, Destiny, and Mortal Kombat for me.

I never thought of it that way. Thanks for bringing wisdom cookies into my mind.
DestroyerOf LargePlanets
I prefer to think of it as like spreading my love juice to those that are willing and ready to accept...
Screw the reviews, I will judge the game based on my experience, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to adore this game. And Sean is probably the most lovable dev ever.
StopAskingMeToChangeMyName "Love juice" sounds oddly unsettling.
Correct, but People were shocked a bit more by the hype train derailment. It's an ok game, but don't and hello game marketed it to be an excellent game
No Man’s Sky is amazing, picked it up for PS5 and loving it 👏👏👏
I'm too damn excited for this. This is the game I've always wanted as a kid!! What I really want to know is, what's up with those buildings in some of the planets? They look manmade. Maybe it's either from a player, or a dinosaur with opposable thumbs. Shit, maybe they're built by motherfucking aliens!!!
If dinosuar have thumbs be ready to see a lot of cum in planets!
Who many years did it take to make this game
Technically, every creature, be them humanoid or animal, in this game is an alien. Relative to us Earthlings, that is. To them, _we're_ aliens.
+Ramon Kelly i think they started 2009 or 2010
I can't deny that I'm excited about No Man's Sky for it endless universe, but also I'm afraid that the game play will be mostly around exploration and wandering those endless galaxies and planets.
Looks amazing!
i want this game in my ps4 right now!
No Man's Sky + Occulus rift = Good bye my real life
I'm going crazy to play this game I seriously hope it lives up.
Im surprised how much I am looking forward to this game
I don't have any proper consoles but when this comes out I'll go crazy to get it,MY DREAM GAME HAS COME TRUE!!
Wohoooo!
this game may be the game to top all other games for the next few years
im abit worried, it might fall like titanfall. but im confident i will have fun.
Buying a ps4 just for this. Can't wait
It will come to pc later it's only a timed exclusive.
This game is the best game I've ever seen. Seriously. Btw not to worry - this game will be on PC. Not a rumor. It will be released
If this is coming to PC, I will give it a go.
I have high hopes for these guys
I'm looking forward to this more than any other game.
This looks great. There is lots of big up coming space exploration games that I am looking forward to on PC, No Man's Sky, Elite Dangerous and of course Star Citizen.
Then there's Star Fox for WiiU which I want also.
Games like this make me want to live in world like that, instead of real life
Who expect that a development team that started with fun mobile games would create one of the most ambitious games ever made.
1:54 looks exactly like the Tet from Oblivion (That Tom Cruise movie).
BUZZARD LOVER is the one to go to. He has the best No Man's Sky vids.
it looks really cool the question is: is the world filled with interesting things
a good idea would be if everyone was heading to the center of the universe they would surely meet so there should be a city planet or like a multiplayer hub where you unlock a lot of multiplayer abilities to chat and warp to friends positions
would open up a whole new reason to play if you fancied it
It's funny how people knock the look of the new Legend of Zelda on Wii U but this has a similar art style.
I hope to have my ps4 by when this game comes out.
i like this guy i think hes the next Notch
So you are telling me that a company THIS small made a game as amazing as this? They made a couple of apps then go on to something like this? Incredible...
The game i have been waiting for. hope it comes out for PC.
Just seems way to good to be true but if somehow they manage to pull this off this could easily be the most revolutionizing game on consoles in the past decade

PS4+ morpheus + no man's sky going to be amazing
This game must come out for PC
I wish everyone would stop saying how revolutionary this game is. Im very excited for it,and I think it will be an amazing experience. But procedurally generated sci fi planets and space has been done by David Brabens Frontier, which was made in 1991
Not 18 quintillion procedural planets all exploitable and completely different....
The first Playstation had a game where you could fly from outer space down to the planet's surface. The map seemed huge but it wasn't. If you flew to the edge of the map, you would come out on the other side of the map. Does anyone remember that title?
All i want for this game is: PC & PS4 exclusives and supports Oculus Rift & Project Morpheus. ;D
Terran Trade Authority! 70s sci-fi will live on!
wait how can you have a center of infinity?
If this comes out for PC i would buy it stupid fast
one question can you scroll all the way out to see the galaxy like maxis did in spore to see every thing?
The concept will change the industry, but its the execution of it that waits to be seem... Really hopeful for this game. It doesnt have to be realistic, i actually like stylization. Just make it believable and dont tell us we can do something that just turns out to be a gimmick.
This game is going to win GOTY
This is awesome. :)
In the center of the galaxy is a Black hole and its a portal to another galaxy... then you start again but harder, and you rejoins all those galaxy... that would be amazing
lol nobody will get to the center, it will take 5 billion years to do so... by then a better version of this game will probably be released
The lead developper said you will be able to get to the center of the galaxy and for most it will be the end of the game. There is a path to it and you can light speed

Ugh... Just look ign one on one with the game dev, he said the game take roughtly 40h to complete if you just try to reach the center of the galaxy
+Zía okay 40 hours that was it.
If this game was coming to Xbox One all the Xbox fans hating on it in the comments would praise it.
I hope Microsoft realizes one day that dishing indie developers is a big mistake.
Meanwhile, I'll be trying to reach the center of the Universe on my PS4 :)
Really hope they make a Xbox one version
This looks better than most indie games which just try to be 16 bit sidescrolling platforming pieces of crap. This is what an indie studio should be. Making ambitious pure fun titles.
Some examples include Fez, Super meat boy, Spelunky, etc. All lame half assed, lazy, unfun games that idiots always fall for.

Release date?
I can see this game having a huge momentum like Minecraft.
When Will I be able to play this in my ps4???
Hopefully they launch it on Xbox 1 also :)
i really wait for this game, PC rulz
it's funny cause this game is coming out on ps4 first. later on it will be coming to pc. and for now it hasn't been confirmed for xbone yet.
imaspazz1 how's that funny?
Dave Deamorin it's sarcasm. It's not supposed to actually be funny
Developers said that it's going to be exclusive for ps4 but they would love to have a PC version of the game. As for Xbox one on the other hand its not confirmed
3choBlaster foh with ur much later bs. u say this on everyones comment.
they are releasing on pc too
Is there a release date?
I wonder if the center of the universe will have Earth in it. That would be really interesting...
i was thinking the same
+Echoflowerz _ i personnaly think it's gonna be the atlas, y'know, the big diamond thing....
With potentially millions of players, how can their be that many planets? Seems too massive to comprehend.
its a life-sized galaxy... and I think the world can techinically go on forever in any direction because its created from a single seed
Frigid319 Same way the Minecraft seed works, almost. Seeds are interesting things from what I've heard. Look it up.
soooooo, basicly space zelda(origanal)........ AWSOME!!!!!!
when it comes out on ps4?
Kids these days be like 'santaa iwan DA calloff duuudy orrr I gonslap ur biiic mouthhh Ann rapur buuut howl'
I like the idea.... it reminds me of EveOnline in a way...I wonder...!!!!
This game has some ideas similar to elite dangerouse
i dont think its meant to be action or anything like a norm game i think its meant to be an experience like that game dust or what ever it was named where you get put in a desert and you try to get to the mounten. its its own game
If people keep hype this game, it will end as a disaster.
Cuz so far, it has amazing level desings but nothing else actually.
They said 8 months ago that the goal is to get to the center of the galaxy, but it gets more hostile the further you go.
And you got all that from 2 videos lol? the game is not even in pre alpha.
3choBlaster Why are you even in these X1vsPS4 arguments? Grow up.
Wow
Would be cool if they can add to the game something like destney the game. For 80 different kind of aliens with each there own kind of guns with each haveing a City of there own. From 60,80,100 per city and if a city is wiped out a different one replace it in a different location in that planet .100 types of guns would be cool to use throught the planets
I hope there is a beta
pc?
at 0:10 there is a 360 controller
so maybe a Xbox release? really hoping
LegoTechPlane we know all that's going to happen
LegoTechPlane yes I know but means it may come out for xbox ps and pc
LegoTechPlane well I have Xbox One so lets hope its cross platform
No it would be impossible, it only has 500ish Mb of RAM.
GamersBrainStorming well xbox one could do it
Good luck to them but it will never realise its full potential without a PC release, bring on Star Citizen :)
I really hope they don't mess this up.
Omg I can't wait this Has to be one of the bestest games ever created! This Plus morpheus 💦💦💦
Take my Money!
I'll say this and i'm not being a dick about it but if their genuine about this they wont make it a PS4 or Xbox One exclusive
this game needs Oculus.
will it contain multyplayer?
they have said things about being with friends but this is a galaxy sized galaxy you will never meet anyone unless you can tp to each other so having it set up to keep checking to see if players are in range is a waste of your computers resources
Is this PS4 only or PC XBOX ONE AND PS4 ?
Ps4 first, and then PC/Xbox One a few months later I believe.
Ps4 first, PC next and most likely xbox later on. Phil spencer is friends with the guys at Hello games, it will eventually be on xbox.
Xbox might not get it.
derrick deloach You must be a fucking idiot
The Vicatorian You're calling him the idiot?
He isn't the one flipping his shit.
Brendan Forish what about other things like can u build a house on a planet u find?
Shut Up And Take My Money!
The trolls that said this game would be boring are now gasping with amazement that they actually spoke the truth for once.
metafis esspecially with Atlas rising
Well, the game did improve with all the updates
It looks over ambitious i dont think its going to be a really good game in the end probably going to get a 6/10 because its not up to par
Still amazing that 5 people can make a game that has me interested in more than big AAA releases with hundreds working on them.
Cian Mc sweeney
fo sho. for an indie game to be able to compete with AAA's in sheer anticipation is kinda rare. They have my support.
Cian Mc sweeney what tops that is that they kept going even after their studio was flooded and lost all their stuff.
Maltenge Read an interview and all their code was backed up to the cloud. However they did lose loads of art assets and equipment computers.
hazy33 which is what I just said.
do it for the ***** ***** or it never existed.
Give us more lol
Why you going to make a game without beta no game has ever done that you're just getting the Realtor exited people angry. I know this wasn't mentioned in this video but I've watched many other bids on this title and I know what you're doing here
They're doing a beta because they're working on the game and bug-testing and refining themselves.
It will flop
It will be repetitive and worlds will seem lifeless and uninteresting.
hopefully not :/
so is cod
Well, aren't you just a ray of sunshine
I'm just as hopeful as anyone that the game will be awesome but let's be realistic. There are limitations and it's a Indie title not triple A so the budget won't be as big nor will the team. After maybe the fourth planet things will begin to repeat and patterns will form, some planet may be identical but with different colour variations or animals you have seen before repeating in different combinations and most planets will be baron and empty lifeless wastelands. This is just my prediction though but I don't know. Just think how varied can an entire galaxy be on a console with current tech. An entire galaxy. We can just about simulate detailed city's like watch dogs or Skyrim.

will have to see what the pvp is like which could be it's saving factor.. also the graphics were not "the best" so there is hope they committed system resources to more important things. but yea finding the center of the galaxy will be no big deal after you read about it on the forums.
