I just installed and set this software up to use on my 2011 328i xdrive. I was having connection issues with car and software until I tried this. First verify that the Comm settings are correct as per the video. Start Inpa first, connect cable to laptop, turn power on in the car, lastly connect obd connector to the car. This was the only way I could get my e90 connected. The software had no issues and it works great 👍 Super big thank you to Endless Money Pits for providing access to the software and making a well explained video. You saved me tons of money and time!!!!!! Subscribed👌

Connector question for dual port cars. First, awesome tutorial and the software install on Windows 11 worked perfectly. On my 1998 E39 I have both ports, the OBD2 and 20 pin round. I don't have the adapter for the 20 pin so I used the OBD2 port. I can only communicate with the engine module and not the Body or Chassis modules. Is this because I'm not using the 20 pin connector?
Good day. Help please, I can't find anyone. I'm writing from Germany. I changed the SBSL Satellite unit and can't register it. Please advise, thank you. Ți-am instalat programul și funcționează, dar nu știu care este procedura. Cum se schimbă codul VIN în acest nou bloc.
Thanks for taking the time to make this, and still be answering questions a year later! My Question is, what is that white thing you are plugging into your computer at 7:10? Will I need to buy one for myself along with the K cable?
Oh, I probably should have mentioned that. My laptop only has a USB-C port, so the white thing is an adapter for this laptop that connects to USB-A, HDMI, and another USB-C. You do not need it as long as your computer has a USB-A port, which most do. I'm happy to help when I can, so feel free to ask if you have any other questions, and thanks for the support!

Hi I managed to install this. First time I've ever managed to get INPA working after many failed attempts! However, this version doesn't have functionality to be able to run SMG adaptions and bleeding for my E46 M3. Do I need a different version and how can I get this?
Hmm I'm surprised to hear that. I honestly don't know too much about this software so I don't have an answer for you, unfortunately. Have you looked on the e46fanatics forum?
@@EndlessMoneyPits I am running on windows 10.. i do get some ecu family options pop up but only about 10 and none are frm related, inpa works fine so i know the cable is good and i did code my dsc with tool32 the other day.. however never used ncs expert for anything as of yet.. so it may just need up to date files.. however you probably know more than me about this stuff 😂… also i will had this is a second hand frm2 and it is compatible part number ( if that makes a difference)
Hi again so I got the ecc app into my c drive and I have the 3 folders now ! So when I get the cable and plug it in it would the driver instal them selves ? Or is there something I need to do for the k cable ?
Tired installing BMW Standard tools on Windows 10 Version 22H2 and it errors out at setup because only Windows NT 4.0 Windows XP Pro are supported. Also would the Bimmergeeks cable be the best one for this software if I get it installed
The only SP-Daten files available for NCS dummy are e39 and e46. I'm trying to turn aux on in e87 116i. Please could you provide a link to download the relevant Daten files? Bimmergeeks is unavailable. Is there no way to get the files for this, i.e. is it now not possible to use this software for anything other than e39 and e46? Are the relevant DATEN files installed alongside the K-DCAN driver software/when it is plugged into the car? If not, does the original NCSEXPER/DATEN folder come with all the relevant chassis'? If so is it worth not deleting this folder and replacing it with the contents of ec-apps? Or is there a specific reason why we do this that would prevent the app from running?
The software and files provided in the video description are all I have. I'm not sure about the K-DCAN software you are asking about. Sorry I can't be more helpful. BMW has been cracking down on sites supplying these files so that's why they may be hard to find.
I have a dedicated laptop with bmw scanner 1.4 running xp. I get the future proofing benefit of wind 7 but can I run these standard tools on xp? I’m mostly interested in updating the software on my e46 m3 to see if it’ll help connecting to the emissions computer so I can get my inspection done (currently no communication, it just times out. generic obd2 scanner and Bmw scanner 1.4 works fine aside from no live data)
It still works for me but is very slow. I think it must be an issue on Google's end. If all else fails, you can download the installation files from the original write-up that's also linked in the description.
Hi I’m stuck on ec-apps part and I’m not quite sure how to extract the file to the driver with winzip I don’t get the same tab as you were it say extract not sure what I did wrong and I was hoping I could get some pointers thank you love the vids
Thank you. It may say some other variation of "extract", or the extract comand may be in a slightly different menu location, but that should still do the job of decompressing the files so you can use them. I hope that helps.
@@EndlessMoneyPits yea that’s the thing idk where mine is lmaoo and doesn’t really show like yours does in 3:31 so at this point I’m confused on what other step I can take

I hadn't heard of this issue before. Windows 11 seems to be giving people trouble so try windows 10 or earlier and make sure all Windows updates are complete. Then restart the PC and try reinstalling everything from this video. One final restart may be needed. At least, that's what I would try.
@@EndlessMoneyPits Thanks for the reply. I have Win 10Pro but I'm getting a warning re: CDM21228_Drivers_Setup files". Windows 7 will probably give you fewer issues. Some people have commented about problems with Windows 11 but running the installation files in compatibility mode sometimes resolves it.
I just don’t have the option to extract all when I right click. I have winzip installed. I to have options to unzip but not the extract button like u had

I keep reading that the E70 is supported in INPA, but the software does not have an option for it. I don't understand. I did find out that the E70 requires a D-CAN cable instead of the K+CAN cable I used in this video. I would recommend contacting Bali on the E46 fanatics forum with this question. I guarantee he knows the answer.
@@EndlessMoneyPits SOLVED. I followed the complete instructions at ruclips.net/video/fGpAXDaS9TI/видео.html and not only was the E70 available but I was able to monitor the real time air conditioning temperature readings (Analog) that I needed. It takes a few hours to download the sp-datem, however once downloaded I only had to install the Base and E70 datems for my purposes.
I don't know if I missed this in the video but most responses on the software when I check for errors are in German. Is there a way to change settings so that results are in English?

I have a very old laptop lying around with all the software working for if i ever need to change anything to my E82 (although I don't thing my garage will flash anything again to my car. Outdated...) Had someone set it up for me at the time... I mainly used it for the Alpina B3 gearbox upgrade, and some minor tweaks

I'm not sure but it sounds like the program didn't install correctly. I would try uninstalling and starting over. If that doesn't work I would try it on another computer. There shouldn't be any problems like this.
is this compatible with the 08 528i e60? also does virus protection need to be disabled? when i unzip the files to the c drive it blocks 2 files because of virus protection
@@EndlessMoneyPits Yes it's very helpful trough all that useless talking ,,tutorials'' on youtube. Wondering maybe you can do some bmw e60 coding series ?
@EndlessMoneyPits is there? I couldn't find it, is it the same link for the BMW STANDARD TOOLS? is it within one of those zip files? If so, thanks for your help mate. As I'm just downloading it for a friend who wants to use it on his "BMW 330ci E46" Sorry if I sound thick, but we've already got INPA installed on a laptop. So would I need any of those softwares? Or can I just use INPA to do it all?
Do you have or could you make a video the same as this but about NCS dummy? This really helped me but I’ve been struggling to find a similar videos to this detail
Great video! However, once I connected the cable (only to computer not to OBDI) then start INPA it shows two black dots 'Battery On' AND 'Ignition On' . Any idea?
Hmm that's no good. I would restart the computer and try again. Windows updates may be needed but that's just a guess. If it does the same thing, see if you can connect to the car anyway. If you can't get it to work, I would try a different computer. I can't really help beyond that. I'm not sure what would be causing this problem.
@@EndlessMoneyPits Thank you for your very quick reply! Seems like even though I see both black dots (w/o being connected to car) once I connect I still can communicate with car. Hmmm it should work on windows 10. Make sure you don't have any pending windows updates. If all else fails, try on a different computer.
I keep getting the error: chassis is faulty.
I read that I should select the e89 chassis for my e91 but I don’t know how to bypass the fault
me too
There is no mini r56 in inpa, please help 😢
Sorry, I'm not familiar with software for your Mini. Hopefully someone can recommend the right program for you.
Download the app but when I try to run the installation, it says only support window NT or xp professional system, please help
It should work on newer systems. Try reinstalling?
Hi there could you give me the Link just for Winkfp? Because i already have the rest. Pleasee
I don't have separate links for each program, sorry. You can just delete what you don't need.
@@EndlessMoneyPits Okay thank you
Hi I managed to install this.
Great information & work, what year are the process applicable to? Are these programs relevant to the e91 2006 . ?
Thank you. I'm not sure about the e91 off hand.
no FRM files show up in winkfp, how do i fix that?
If using Windows 11, try running in compatibility mode. If not, try reinstalling or try a different computer.
I figured out the extracting part. When I plug my d-can in it shows up as (Other devices) D-CAN
I don’t know what went wrong as yours shows up as ports and you are able to access it and change the comm
Hmm I really don't know the answer to this one. Let us know if you figure it out. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
Hi again so I got the ecc app into my c drive and I have the 3 folders now ! So when I get the cable and plug it in it would the driver instal them selves ? Or is there something I need to do for the k cable ?
Just do exactly what I did in the video.
Tired installing BMW Standard tools on Windows 10 Version 22H2 and it errors out at setup because only Windows NT 4.0 Windows XP Pro are supported. Also would the Bimmergeeks cable be the best one for this software if I get it installed
Worked for me on Windows 10 but I'm not sure which update I was on. I've never used Bimmergeeks for anything.
Thank you so much for making this video!
Glad it was helpful for you!
That Beamer is nice! That's the look I'm going for
Thank you!
@@EndlessMoneyPits Welcome! What year and model? I have 03 325i
It's a 2000 328i with sport package.
@@EndlessMoneyPits dope! Is that a m3 front bumper?
Yes, it is an M3 replica bumper. Some people hate it but it looks good to me.
@@EndlessMoneyPits The software actually came with the cable on a disc. The rest of the tutorial was great
A great and informative and clearly narrated tutorial! Will this work on a Windows 11 Laptop?? Thanks
Good question! It should work on Windows 11 but I don't have a way to verify that. If you find out please let us know.
Did it work on windows 11?
Greaattt brooo 🎉❤❤❤❤ its work
I have a dedicated laptop with bmw scanner 1.4 running xp.
You can try but the FAQ for this write-up says that Windows XP is no longer supported by most software including chrome.
Hi, trying to download the bmw standard tools setup from your link but for me it says there is a HTTP error?
@@EndlessMoneyPits yea that’s the thing idk where mine is lmaoo and doesn’t really show like yours does in 3:31 so at this point I’m confused on what other step I can take
Did you install WinZip?
I am receiving the infamous IFH-0006: COMMAND NOT ACCEPTED message. Can't seem to figure out how to resolve this. Can you help? Also when launching BMW Coding Tool, receiving MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.
Can't scan file for viruses, ex-app.zip(710.1MB) exceeds the maximum file size that Google can scan. Only download the file is you understand the risks, so I hesitated to open it. Is that normal?
i need help the program say "the system cannot find the path specified"
Try reinstalling or try a different computer.
Dose this work for e39 to
What is better (and easily) to install on Win7 or Win11? I ask because i have an old laptop with win7 to run PASOFT
Windows 7 will probably give you fewer issues. Some people have commented about problems with Windows 11 but running the installation files in compatibility mode sometimes resolves it.
Hi , I have a ENET cable can I use this software with my cable ?
I don't think so but let us know what happens.
@@EndlessMoneyPits yes worked like a charm . i just change the interface to ENET on EDIBAS tool32 configuration .
Excellent! That's great to know, thank you.
can I use a Mac with parallel installed so I can run windows 10?
Probably, but you'll have to try and let us know if it works.
@@EndlessMoneyPits will do🫡
I am unable to continue since I do not have an option to extract all with winzip
Use the bult in windows unzipping tool or download winzip.
I just don’t have the option to extract all when I right click. I have winzip installed. I to have options to unzip but not the extract button like u had
I don't understand. Extract or unzip, whatever it let's you do. Did you restart after installing winzip?
I followed your steps but cannot get E70, am I doing somehting wrong?
Are you also not finding the SP DATEN file for the chassis when loading ncs dummy?
I don't have an option to Extract all what would be the issue? Running windows 7
That's a strange issue. Here's the best answer I could find. Hope it helps:

Does this still apply to today? Would I have to get anything different ?
I don't think anything has changed.
Installed and works perfectly, however 2007 BMW X5 (E70) is not available in the menu. Is there a way to add it?
Wow, I'm glad you figured it out so fast! I will have to check out that video when I have more time. Thanks for sharing the solution!
Do you have guide to install ncsdummy?
No, maybe I should?
I don't know if I missed this in the video but most responses on the software when I check for errors are in German. Is there a way to change settings so that results are in English?
That is strange. Did you download the software from the link I provided?
@@EndlessMoneyPits Yes I did.
Hmmm... I would reinstall and make sure to select the language you want. You could have easily missed it.
I have the same problem, some modules are in German, some in English.
I definitely selected English in the set up.
Do you have the daten files for E60
All I have is what I've shared on the Google drive.
I can't download files(bmw standard tools) pls fix link again
It still works for me but is very slow. I think it must be an issue on Google's end. If all else fails, you can download the installation files from the original write-up that's also linked in the description.
Hello Endless Money Pits, do have an INPA version that supports E89?
No I do not, sorry.
@@EndlessMoneyPits You need SP-Daten_E89_v48.1 It is a pretty big download. Even zipped it is 5.1Gb. I can send it to you, if you have space to make it available. No idea how to implement that to this setup, though.
Will I be able to run this software on my 2015 MacBook 💻 ?
I'm not sure about Mac but I've run INPA on a PC from 2004 running Windows XP. These are old programs.
@@EndlessMoneyPits appreciate your quick response !
Hello, first i will thank you for this video. I have installed everything on the exact same way how you tell. But when i open INPA i can't see the model of the bmw cars. Only what i see is f1 for information and f2 for script and f10 for end.
I can't select the option for e46.
What is the problem?
I'm not sure but it sounds like the program didn't install correctly. I would try uninstalling and starting over. If that doesn't work I would try it on another computer. There shouldn't be any problems like this.
Hello,
Will these files work with e90? 2011 328i xDr?
I don't have a way to test that but let us know if it works for you.
is this compatible with the 08 528i e60? also does virus protection need to be disabled? when i unzip the files to the c drive it blocks 2 files because of virus protection
Yes this should work with your e60 from what I understand. I did not need to disable virus protection for this but it's possible you might need to.
Thanks for very good, clear tutorial
I'm just happy people are finding it helpful. Thanks for the comment!
@@EndlessMoneyPits Yes it's very helpful trough all that useless talking ,,tutorials'' on youtube. Wondering maybe you can do some bmw e60 coding series ?
I only have an e46 to work with for now but I would like to do more videos like this. I haven't learned any BMW coding yet.
After restarting, I don’t have the operating system (c) on my laptop???
That shouldn't happen just from installing the program. Can you boot up in safe mode? There might be an issue with your computer.
@@EndlessMoneyPits thanks for the quick reply. I will restart and start the process again.
Windows 11 goes well! Thanks!
Wheres the best place to download WINKFP software hopefully for free?
There's a link in the video description
@EndlessMoneyPits is there? I couldn't find it, is it the same link for the BMW STANDARD TOOLS? is it within one of those zip files?
If so, thanks for your help mate. As I'm just downloading it for a friend who wants to use it on his "BMW 330ci E46"
Sorry if I sound thick, but we've already got INPA installed on a laptop.
So would I need any of those softwares? Or can I just use INPA to do it all?
does the same process apply for a enet cable for my 5 series
It looks like those cars use the enet cable with a different program called E-Sys. I have not worked with that program yet.
Do you have or could you make a video the same as this but about NCS dummy? This really helped me but I’ve been struggling to find a similar videos to this detail
I'll put it on the list but I don't have any experience with NCS yet. I'll start learning about it soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
Will this work on my 2012 328ix sport wagon?
I don't think so. I'm not seeing an option for that car in the software.
Would you be able to recommend one?
Sorry, I am not familiar with software for that car.
Ok ty 😏, btw nice tutorial 😉
Thank you!
Great video. Can I use this on my '08 E66 750li 4.8 v8 and '05 X5 E53 4.4 v8 and '05 545i 4.4 v8 on windows 10 laptop?
It should work on the '05 but I'm not sure about the '08. Let us know if you try it and find out!
Thanks for sharing this!!
I donwloaded all the control module data and was able to clear errors. However, if I go to 'Chassis' then 'DSC' and then 'Activate' I get the error message "Not matching versions, misfunctions possible SGBD Version 6.0, SGBD version 21.0 INPA version 6.0" . Once I click 'OK' I see what I expect which is the DSC bleeding procedures. Anything to worry about or all good? Thank you so much for your help!
That is a question only Bali can answer. He's the guru with this software. You can contact him on the e46fanatics site I linked to in the description. Wish I could help more but this is too technical for my experience.
Great tutorial thanks!
