I’m so looking forward to the sock knitting! I purchased all three of her patterns for $11.00. I’m amazed at her sock knitting ability. I love the baby sweater and hat - cudos to Gigi. I hope you enjoyed the shower!

Oh my goodness I just got a pain in my stomach when you said the minister asked about your yarn vs hobby lobby. I realize he knew no better but his question still gave me a pain! He couldn’t help it but my body couldn’t help it either!!!

Catching up on last weekends podcast after being out of town! I hear my name!
I wish I had a favorite tea cozy pattern to share .... but it's surprisingly hard to find a good basic, classic tea cozy pattern. I have a lot of fun just making them up to fit individual teapots! I'll send Devin pictures of my collection (including failures!)

When you make a downloadable PDF on substituting yarn can you include information on how to figure out much more or less yarn you would need? Gigi, the Ferrari sweater turned out so good! I bet there were lots of oohs and ahs at the shower!

Love the sweater. I promise I have a knitting/crochet story coming. However, we are in the midst of packing and moving this month. Currently watching very early in the morning and really should sleep but anxiety is keeping me up. I have been packing but sat down to find a knit baby blanket WIP suck under the leg of the recliner. Lifting (shh don't tell. I am not supposed to be lifting over 3 lbs) I got the edge of the project free. But found at least half of the stitches off the needles. All are back on, some a row or 2 down. I think I will sleep on the whole knitting and fixing for much later. Have a wonderful week.

Love seeing you Devin. I cast on the Mizzoni Vest by Lindsey Degan last week & I am using your Shopaversary 50 gram set from last year.♥️

Hi Devin! Thank you for sharing your making adventures with us😀. I was wondering about the Chicken sitting behind you wearing pink. My sister ❤️ Chickens, and I gifted her “Poppy the Chicken” but I’m sure Poppy would like a friend -Blessings!

Hi Larry! Gigi made me that chicken! I can’t remember the name of the pattern but it’s a crochet chicken that’s free somewhere! 🐔

I’m determined to become a sock knitter. I have lots of sock yarn as it is just so appealing, but I’ve yet to complete a pair. I’ve tried magic loop, two at a time, 9” circs and just haven’t fallen in love. I’m on the hunt for a set of Signature Needle Arts as I hear great things about them, but since they are discontinued I’ve not had success. Does anyone have experience with flexible needles? My motivation is that we are taking a trip to Europe next year and will pack in a carryon only. Not knitting on the plane or during down time is not an option so socks seem to be the most concise project and I can always buy another skein if I get a pair done. DPNs concern me as I’m sure I’d drop one and send it down the plane never to be seen again. I’m open to suggestions and am eager to join the sock club and get some practice before the trip. Suggestions?

Hey, Linda! So I learned to knit socks on DPNs, and I do recommend that to others simply because it felt like an easier way to learn the construction of the sock than 9" circulars, magic loop, etc. However, now that I have knit socks using those other methods, I prefer the 9". I recommend trying the Crazy Sock Lady's tutorials for knitting socks. She has videos on the different methods here on RUclips, and once you understand the basics, you could choose which method you prefer! ❤ I hope you fall in love with knitting socks soon! 🙂

@@simplelifeathome Thank you for responding. What a great tip to learn with DPNs and then change to other methods.

I didn't like magic loop when I first tried it but then I followed Summer Lee's I'm So Basic Sock free pattern and watched the videos that go with it to knit my first pair of socks and I am now firmly in the magic loop sock knitting camp. The videos are important because she explains things so helpfully and makes it so easy.

@@KatyB-GryffindorChaser Thank you. I had already printed out that pattern. I’ll be sure to watch the videos.
