I think your podcast is well organized, and sticks mainly to the Knitting content, which I appreciate. As a mom of a daughter who occasionally crafts I love the episodes where your daughters share too. Your podcast definitely fills a spot in my RUclips Knitting Podcast lineup!

My two favorite podcasters, Knitty Mcpurly and Young Folk Knits. I ordered yarn and pattern for the YFK knit along. Kacey is similar in size to me, so I enjoy seeing her knitwear and hand sown garments. Another fun podcast ❤

Another enjoyable podcast. I'm definitely more of a process knitter. I love complex designs which results in me having more wips than possible should. I do also love knitting for others as this gives me motivation to get things finished.

I learned to knit, and to crochet a long time ago, during the summer I was entering 9th grade. Back then there was no RUclips; the (crochet and knitting) books I used provided no instructions for lefties. I am a lefty crocheting and knitting righty 😂. 40 plus years later, I enjoy both; however I prefer to knit.
BTW Devin, I understand how you feel in terms of self assessments. We're our worst critics. I want to tell you that you're awesome. You have no reason to feel less than. We each have our own special gifts You are truly gifted
Please Congratulate your daughter on her new chapter and let her know I wish that her college years are full of adventures and discoveries.

Afternoon Devin, lovely to watch your video this afternoon. It is really interesting to see the progress on your sweater. I am not sure either if I am a process or product knitter as I enjoy the relaxing journey of knitting but also the delight in a completed item. Hope return to school goes well and that your daughter settles quickly into college life. My granddaughter starts University this September. Autumn is a time of new starts. 🇬🇧

Hi Devin, you should know that when I “compare” your podcast I find a podcaster who clearly enjoys her work, loves her people, and loves the Lord, which is quite unique in the knitting podcast world. I love the segment syle of your podcast that isn’t only about finished objects and purchases (though you are great at enabling our purchases 😉).
How did I start knitting? One of my sisters used to knit and she tried to teach me when we would gather at Christmas, but I just couldn’t get it. Years passed and we both had children, home schooled them, and she became an amazing fiber artist through sewing and quilting. About 25 years after her first efforts I still wanted to learn to knit and finally had time to learn something new again. On a two day drive (my husband does most of the driving) I took a large skein of unimportant, but soft, yarn and straight needles (all I knew at the time) in the size the yarn band suggested, I watched a video on how to cast on and then started. I knit (English) all the way from NM to northern ID (22 hrs) and didn’t let myself care about dropped stitches or extra stitches or anything else wonky. By the time we arrived I’d figured it out and had decent tension. 3 months later I knew I’d want to knit a lot and decided I needed to figure out what was the most ergonomic way to knit so I could, hopefully, limit injuries. Yep, I switched to continental and have never looked back. I knit many hours most days making mostly sweaters (and now learning socks) and haven’t had any injuries in 8yrs.
Process or Project? I’m in the both camp. I only knit things I really want the end result, but I happily take out and start over or correct on almost every project. I just love to knit and so starting over isn’t a problem for me…and I’ll get a better end result. Yep, both!

Great podcast! Kids going back to school too soon. So in the last week I have finished 2 sweaters, meaning they are knitted. Today I am hiding all the threads. Lol I need to get them done so I can start something else. I hope you have a great week.

I’ve used DROPS yarn for a few projects. I ordered it online and had it shipped. Even though shipping can be a bit high, the yarn is affordable, so I think it evens out. I’ve enjoyed the yarn I’ve tried from them.

Devin, I just returned from a week's vacation in Virginia. We stayed in Cape Charles on the Delmarva peninsula. It was lovely! The town was so quaint & quiet with a lovely wrap around porch on the house we were staying at, perfect to sit and knit. Ceiling fans on the porch kept the bugs away (somewhat anyway!) and gave a pleasant breeze. The weather was perfect too, with temps in the low 80's & no rain. The only bad thing about the trip was that there are NO YARN Stores 😱😱in Cape Charles! What are they thinking of here??? Luckily I had packed 3 sock projects for the trip but still was unable to buy any souvenir yarn ...so disappointing.

I’m like you in that I am both and process and product knitter. I knit for the product, but I enjoy the process immensely and it helps keep me sane. Good luck with the start of school! Mine started this past week.

I have ordered Drops from a Lithuanian vendor on Etsy. Came within two weeks, shipping wasn’t bad. There is LindeHobby and other vendors. I like the yarn I have used. The one I used was Sun Yarn Studios. I am planning to order from LindeHobby soon. The Drops Air is on sale right now. Etsy is a good source.

Hi Devin! I love your podcast and you definitely should not compare what you’re doing to other podcasters. You are unique and wonderful and that’s why I watch every week! I’m sure others would agree. I heard you comment on the fact that you love bobbles, so I wanted to pass on that Veronika Lindberg, also known as Kutovakika on RUclips, has some beautiful bobbled sweater patterns on her website and on Ravelry. She is currently working on her second knitting book. She is lovely to follow and has beautiful photography and videos on her RUclips podcast. You should check it out!

Drops yarn is super affordable and you can order it from Wool Warehouse in the UK- they ship internaitonally and are often having sales including Drops yarn. I use it a lot and it is great value for money - natural fibres and a wide selection of colours. Highly recommend.

Hi Devin! Enjoyable podcast, as always! You have a great style and I love being able to count on the different segments that you offer each week. Don’t let comparison be the thief of joy!! Good luck with your school year. I just “retired” from homeschooling after twenty eight years! And God bless your daughter in her first year away at college. 💜

Devin you should never feel “less than” concerning your podcasts. I watch several knitters and yours is the standard against which I measure the rest. Yours is organized and always interesting. I do play it at 1.5x most of the time as I do almost everyone except Jordan Peterson.

    Hi Devin
Always love watching your podcast! I just have a quick question. Is there a particular pattern you followed for your double gauze dress. I admire it every time I see it and would love the perfect dress to wear my two Fosette sweaters with.
Thanks so much and have a blessed week!

Devin the decrease for the arms needs to take into account that the upper decreases slower than the rest. It will be tight for me at a steady decrease. Right?
