I love that you support other small designers and crafters. The wise owl knits cable sweater was jaw dropping. You are a good soul Devin. ❤

I'm taking deep breaths and NOT asking about the Jovis Duster..... even though you showed us that GORGEOUS picture of yourself in it!!!!! Also, I would totally go to a Mexican jail over knitting, as long as I got to bring my knitting. Thank you for another great episode!

Haha! Let's talk about the duster sweater, lol.. Just send it my way so I can make it before the Retreat 🤣 It's like my Rhinebeck sweater for the Knitty McPurly event. I love the color combos and seeing you make that sweater. My husband and I were just talking about Bob Ross, haha! Have a wonderful week, Devin. I'm working with your fuji base rigth now, and it's EPIC; My fave summer base. I'm not a traveller either. Oh! And the vest, I just bought the Friday slipover because I was loving the vest too. Yours will be beautiful. Hugs- Kimberly

Your "problem" with the short rows on the second shoulder could have been me while making the Digory Tee. I had to really concentrate because it just felt wrong. As to the Indian Lake Artisan needles, I bought a small size interchangeable kit in June 2023. They have gotten a lot of use. I got the composite ones because I have a tendency to bend my needles. I don't feel like I have a death grip on them, but maybe I do. Anyway, I love them. I, too, tend to be a loose knitter and struggle to get gauge. Often now I can use the recommended needle size and get gauge.
I don't really have a knitting story but maybe a suggestion for a compilation knitting story. A few months ago we had no program for our Fiber Guild meeting, so we all shared how we began our craft journey. Everyone stood and told their story, learning from mom, grandma, aunt, to friend to I learned from RUclips or a yarn shop. May I challenge anyone who reads this comment to share their "How I Learned Story." Devin, how did you learn? I learned to knit in my early 30's from a very dear friend. I tell her to this day that she created a monster and thank her each time I say it.

And my husband and I are watching reruns of The Office right now too! Can you ever get too much Office?!😂😂 I think not.😊

I also like listening to Brett and I think a “Rachel” vest sounds so good. I may need to add that to my upcoming knitting list! I also absolutely love the dimension that hand-dyed tonals give to projects, especially garments. I’m actually turned off by most commercially dyed solids now, and I cringe at the cost of gift knitting with some of the hand-dyed yarns that I drool over….sigh….

Hello from Swansea, Illinois. I was looking through the college catalog with my granddaughter and guess what we found? They have classes in knitting and crocheting, it’s amazing how things come back again.

Now I’m picturing your August colorway for the colorwork in Cheryl’s (Wise Owl Knits) Wildflower Tee with one of the tonals as the main color. I’ll bet that would be pretty. Fantasy knitting! And I’m thinking I’d rather not travel to Mexico.

When I have my head in the game, I do a 4 mile walk with a 12 lb vest on 3-4 days a week and lift weights for an hour 4-5 times a week. I did that for awhile, but last week and this week, I have been lazy. 😂 After cancer, I get no more estrogen, which ages me really fast and ups my risk factors for a bunch of stuff. I don’t really have a choice but to fight back. 😂

For the vest, what is the yarn and color that you showed us? That color speaks to me. Thanks.

It is Black Forest Cake colorway, and I believe she said it was her worsted base.
