I use Stoic and have had good luck folding the top down to before half way then fold the bottom up to just below half way and grabbing the bottom fold and pulling into place. The fold gives a good grip.
Indeed - that’s a solid technique as well. If someone didn’t have straps handy or just didn’t feel like using them, that’s probably the route I would recommend.
