To be honest, I felt like I ripped off Universal by watching the trailer, it’s practically the whole movie in less than 3 minutes

I read the graphic novel this movie was based on (Sandcastle) many years ago. That story was really well-done IMO, super unnerving and existential and captivating in ways that are hard to describe. Sad to hear it got butchered into a sorry state with Old

the dad talking with the kids in the beginning joking about them not being allowed to go to the beach was probably the peak of the dialouge. Then maybe the night time scene when they just stare off at the ocean. Almost everything else felt goofy and npc like dialouge

So you're telling me Shyamalan still hasn't learned his dialogue sucks? It's been almost 15 years since The Happening and still writes the dialogues himself
First of all, just ignore this 2 comments above me ☝. They spammed everyone's comments with the same words.
He's still in the mindset that he is the genius because of his work at Six Sense and Unbreakable, I think Signs is the moment when he started to lose his mojo because of that dumb plot twist with the aliens are weak to waters. Also, also he likes to make a cameo on himself like he's Alfred Hitchcock and even worse, his cameos are usually too long. Quentin Tarantino also likes to make cameo of himself on his movies except his cameos are around 5-10 minutes and he purposedly making himself a bad character with bad acting so his protagonist can shine. And he likes to make cringe dialogues to sound smart and philosopical while in fact, it's the other way around and makes people act with vacant starring, looking confused and mouth wide open.

I like the idea of throwing in a part at the end of these where you're allowed to talk about spoilers
It’s based off of a comic I believe a French one, called Sandcastle. It was pretty good only that they didn’t give any reason as to why it was happening.

I feel like a good amount of people would enjoy in depth moist reviews with spoilers, you could definitely do either a portion of the end of the video or a whole separate series.
Yes Charlie you should definitely make videos taking about the whole movie with spoilers, idk love to hear your opinions on a lot of the movies you review
I agree with Charlie here, the satisfying part of any movie is the "oh shit! This is happening because XYZ". Letting your self figure out what's happening even if you are wrong you still have your own take on it. It's annoying when all the characters in the movie are telling you what's happening in the movie with out acting. Still would give this movie a 8/10.
I remember when The Village came out and my friends were calling it garbage. I watched it myself and really enjoyed it.
I feel like a spoiler section would be great you could just put a disclaimer beforehand and a timestamp for when it ends so the people who dont want to be spoiled can still see the rating and final thoughts while the others can see your thoughts on the more spoiler heavy topics
YES Do a section of these reviews WITH spoilers please! I would prefer to hear your true opinion on the whole movie. Obviously just warn people like other videos do. I always feel like I’m missing a huuuuge part of what you really want to say because you don’t do spoilers and I think that would be the most interesting part I would want to hear your opinion on, the spoilers because thats basically the most important part of movies

Never thought I’d hear someone say split is one of his good movies. On a side note, all of his most recent movies have given away the “twist” in the trailer. Whether they’d have been better without already knowing the twist is hard to say, but that definitely doesn’t help when you’re known for your twists.
Moist meter is more reliable than anything else.
@Louielolbruh Ligma
How?
He gave this a 60 and Midsommar a 25. Not exactly what I’d call “more reliable than anything else”
Clearly, Charles White (the actor who makes every movie great, especially _Hunger Games)_ should have been in _Old._
His hair and beard could have gradually been cut back until he looks like a six-year-old.
Avoiding CGI in this way would have amazed audiences (because they are dumb nowadays).
