I didn't expect Moonfall to be, like, completely accurate on the physics of it all, but I was so unprepared for the fuckery they tried to pull. The moon's changing(?) gravity/mass is what first really cracked me, and then the broken, antique shuttle getting slammed with a tsunami during launch, sort of pausing, and then breaking straight up through the wave almost made me leave. Sharknado respects science and/or reality more by just going, "This is happening and you don't need to worry about how. It's magic. Let's fight some fucking aerial sharks." The nonsense on every possible level had me at the edge of my seat and my mind thoroughly shredded. I wasn't ready. I didn't know. I couldn't have known.

They were "struggling pre-pandemic" thanks to companies like Disney though. Charging theaters ridiculous amounts/percentages of ticket sales to show movies because they are the big player and swing their dicks around. Not to mention the amount of hoops that they are required to go through in terms of very specific requirements for advertising and how and where it's displayed. I finally got around to watching this and as soon as I saw Patrick Wilson I knew it would live up to the hype. Patrick consistently finds these roles in movies with unbelievable plots and acts his heart out in them enough to somehow make a character that seems real. What an amazing actor.
Crazy to think that white dwarfs have an average diameter of roughly 4 times that of the moon yet nobody in production once thought to see if that major plot point is even remotely feasible.
This sounds like someone had an idea with a bunch of ideas/plot points with absolutely no idea how to connect them! This does sound like a really dumb but entertainingly dumb movie.
I get the feeling that Charlie's all-over the-place summary of the movie is somehow the most enjoyable way to experience this movie. Edit: I admit it. I was wrong. This movie needs to be watched to truly appreciate this masterpiece. Everyone in this universe is locked in a perpetual battle to win the title of 'Champion of ineptitude'. Characters make decisions like they dropped a ton of acid beforehand. Usually in service of the plot, which is nonsensical at best. All of which is delivered with barely passable acting. Had me yelling at the screen and laughing all the way through. To top it off, they had the gall to tease at a sequel.... The crew really outdid themselves on this one.
The character was so forgettable that not only does Charlie have no clue what the character's name was, but he keeps calling Halle Berry by the name "Holly Barry" haha

The following month, star John Bradley said that "if Roland goes down the direction that he wants to," the sequels would be "even more batshit crazy than the first." - Wikipedia

I watched a whole 1:30 minutes of this video when it came out, booked a ticket and now im just back from the cinema. This is absolutely the greatest movie ever made. I was so captivated by the story and physics nonsense like you can't imagine. And I shit you not I almost fucking cried when K.C.'s cat and grandma told him they were proud of him when he was inside the moon. I want a sequel right now.
... Cat? what? lmfao
@@Crazdor Fuzz freaking Aldrin thats what
All of that. I did the exact same thing.

@@richardmartinez5040 So before the infinity saga, the two highest grossing movies ever were both made by James Cameron, does that mean he is some savior of the art? Of course not.
Then cinemas have to charge so much to make any profit that everyone found other ways to watch (either pirating, or more recently streaming).
