- This was filmed on the same night the No Such Thing music video was filmed. The only thing I don't like about this version is the tempo has been sped up. To me sounds better whens its slow. ANYWAY thats my opinion :)

He has the special effect on people with his music. I heard no such thing when it came out when I was about 8 and was just drawn to his music ever since. I love how different his style is. And he lets it be known how much he is vibing while playing with the faces and body movements feeling note for note. Just pure beauty in his playing.
This was originally aired on Comcast 8 that's where I saw it and nobody knew who he was at the time except I guess the college crowd. This is his best song. Just my opinion. Or at least it’s my favorite. I think this was 2003.

Glenda Hersey yep this is more than 16 to 17 yrs old. It was on Comcast 8 in NJ it has to be no later than 2003. Positive. I moved to the city after and I moved in 2003. I first saw him here and was whose this nerd playing these kindve poppy songs. Hitting on the girl in the van interviewing him and he’s showing off his tattoos and when he hit on her she rejected him but...I heard in the background blues licks and I said wow this guy can also play the blues. Covered in Rain came on and I was shocked. He had two sides.

Nadroj Somar this was on Comcast 8 when he first came out. Not sure there is a copy anywhere. Just his dvds. He was hitting on the interviewer and nobody knew him. He looks kindve nerdy here. She blew him off. They had a van they traveled in at the time. #awkward. But as we all know he became a big ladies man and lost every gf he's ever had. Cmon he let Katy Perry go. Crazy. 40 now and just starting to mature.

Anyone, Do you think John could still do the whispery vocals like he used to? It wouldn’t fit him as a forty something year old, but I haven’t heard that vocal sound from him in a long time.
David D ever since had that granuloma thingy on his throat and had to have a procedure done he hasn’t been able to sing like he used to. He’s worked hard to be able to sing again tho!
