The variation in his licks, the often times exotic scales and modes he uses, his sublime phrasing...I guess what I'm trying to say is that he's one of the all-time greats, but people don't seem to see it. Asi Kla, hold on to that someone and never let go, lol
I could watch this video all day long every day.
I often do.
@@MaryscottOConnorinTC Me too!
He can flat rip it, no doubt he’s up there with the best. Singing, playing, performing and writing music !!!!!
I keep coming back to this video a few times a month. This performance is like a wholesome meal.
Holy mother...this was amazing!
it's official!!! this guy has got the goods! he can play sing write and has evolved into one of the coolest famous voices of our time... so much so fast so young and found his way to make rich meaning of it all... his work his stuff with dead and company is fantastic.
Beautiful performance- the whole band, vocals, instruments. Love how JM lets the band shine, doesn't try to overcompensate- doesn't need too!
I love the fact that even though it's his show and his name, JM always lets the other musicians have a solo at some point or other in his performances
I wish people in my surroundings could understand that his personal life doesnt mean his music isnt great. Imo his personal life isnt that bad at all and he is a fucking genius, and his music is just fucking amazing. I can keep on going about him and his band forever but you get the point.
So great to see him having the time of his life out there. Truly a remarkable man!
This is so cool, the melody he’s singing in this version gives the whole tune a mixolydian vibe
Tbh I much prefer this voicing than the one recorded, feels much more natural and in line with the instrumentation
Lo e escuchado miles de veces y no dejo de asombrarme, ojalá algún día pueda verlo en vivo mientras tanto lo sigo disfrutando por aquí desde Cordoba, Argentina......
Is no one going to mention that Fender Strat Plus in Razzle Berry? -P
There’s one on Reverb right now too 😭
I see y'all know a thing or two about more than just cameras :)
Xhefri will…..
Have It
LOVE it!
Love the Dead vibe in this solo... and love the slide guitar sound mixed in. Sweet groove - what a great tune.
Just Awesome!!! He is the best in my opinion and this song and performance is sooo amazing!!!!!
This is one of my favorite things ever!!
Great song and just a beautifully built solo. For me this is one of his best performances.
ugh so much vibing in that building, JM & band just too good
That was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
John truly plays the guitar like it's just an extension of his hands
He’s so very talented!!!! Love all of his music 🌼🌸🌼
Bruh, I’ve been trying to find this solo for so long. It’s featured in one his greatest solos video, One of the best ones I’ve heard from him
My favorite version of this song. No doubt fronting the Grateful Dead has had an impact on his guitar work. The early part of that solo was pure Jerry Garcia. He's an amazingly well rounded musician.
Scott Russell who's jerry garcia?
+Adrian Reyes Never heard of her
Scott Russell Didn't even know who Jerry Garcia was until, John Mayer. I'm under 50 yrs.
I think this was before he was playing with Dead and Co

love that Gregg Bissonette is just chillin in the background watching John's solo at the end
I really love this performance... at start its really soft and smooth, but at the end its pure soul and blues. 254 people don't know what is real music.
that look he gives to his band mates at the end! 😍😍
JM's smokin' hot guitaring is a real jam and a 'royal' jam. Otherwise known as playing your a-- off. This is why he is forever a Master, the Man and the King ❣🌟💎👑
The security guard gettin loose slapping the railing at 7:21 🙌🏼
And after that, you see a sound tech guy in bg getting his head loose. 😂😂😂
Who in the world is playing lead b4 Mayer goes electric? Absolutely shredded.
