And the ability to just come out in front of what looks to be about 40 thousand people and lay it down raw like that. John needs to start working more with Pino & SJ. @rollingslothmachine3431 10 месяцев назад

      What exactly is killer about it? I am genuinely curious.
      I mean, it is not very versatile or hard to play, persist out of basic blues licks and is quite short. Nothing I listed makes it bad in any way, but I don't hear the genius so many claim to see in JM.
      He has great tone and very good dynamic playing, but nothing exceptional.

      @@rollingslothmachine3431yes but a good solo ≠ fast playing/ shredding

    • @rollingslothmachine3431
      @rollingslothmachine3431 8 месяцев назад

      @@maelpstrs_music That is not what I meant by that. But a great, not just good solo needs more than a couple of notes played with feel. It should touch you emotionally *and* leave you in awe of the skill. At least, when you want to declare it as one of the best solos ever.

      @@rollingslothmachine3431 Everyone his own taste I guess. I kinda feel you, because the first time I heard this solo I was like sure okay, but now whenever I put up this tune the solo just gives me chills all over my body, the phrasing, the feel, the groove. It just has it all.
