when i was a student, i really like his neon, and one night i was on a bus to see my girlfriend, and i saw the lights and buildings just flowing with the rain on the window, and i was listening to this song. can't forget how i felt that night, it brings me back everytime.

Missing John’s raw emotions. Glad he shared this piece of his heart with us. This is a masterpiece.. years later I catch myself listening to this version to feel this
And dont forget that oh so familiar but ever revealing emotional barometer that is the “guitar face”. Most of, if not all, the best do it. I have always tried to read the faces to understand the notes better myself. SRV did it. Prince as well. Keith Richards has a sort of subtler version because I’m Pretty sure he is a living mummy with skin so leathery I’m unable to ascertain much. Anyone who ever played the instrument this well are guilty of making them myself included. John’s talent is undeniable.

Absolutely! Really reminds me of the SRV - "Life Without You" solo. Both quite slow ballad'y songs with solos that just come in and hit you right in the face and with so much emotion and power behind them. Definitely two of my favourite solos of all time!

I’ve seen JM over 15 times live and still come back to this performance. The solo is just magical.
