How do you clean the air tank ?

You’re trying to clean the rust out of the inside? Personally I would just leave it but you could remove the drain at the bottom and put some chain or bolts on it and shake it around. Another thing to try would be pour some evaporust in where the pressure switch goes. In either case you’d want to disconnect the compressor from the tank so you don’t get crud in it. Good luck!

@@PeckerheadFixesIt thanks for the tips man I have a question if you don’t mind im new to air compressors but is it possible if I get a coupler splitter I can hook up two air regulators for 2 machines im running ?

@@brunolandasantana5506 I think what you’re saying is that you want to use one compressor to run one thing at ~100psi and something else at ~50psi. This is definitely possible just put in a T so you can have two regulators.

Hello sir! I just bought my first air compressor and it happens to be this exact model. Im seeing a lot of videos about rust causing water and explosions and im wondering if I bought a compressor thats gonna explode on me. Is there any chance you can check it out or help me figure out bleeding it?

@@williamzaparolli8874 Hi. I’ve had this compressor since about 2007 and this is the first time I’ve had to work on it. All air compressors accumulate water on the inside because the air gets hot as it’s compressed and then condenses into water as it cools in the tank. There is a drain at the bottom to let the water out. It seems like a leak would form before it would explode but I’m going to look into that.

@@williamzaparolli8874 I just watched a handful of videos on RUclips of exploding air compressors and they don’t look like they exploded from excessive rust. The only scenario that I can see this happening is the pressure switch failing to turn the compressor off and the pressure valve also failing to open. I feel the psi would have to go well beyond 100 for this to happen. It seems like a very rare fluke type thing. Water heaters do this occasionally also.
