Hi. I am very happy when you visit my channel. On my channel you will see all old, rusty tool restoration projects. Restore many types of machinery and equipment. I did this job with passion in my free time. Now I want to share my passion with you on my videos. Please click subscribe comments like & share. Thank you very much.
I have an old compressor that's in similar shape to this one in the beginning of the video. I think the motor is a little bit seized so it trips the breaker when I plug it in. I was looking for a video to show me what I would be up against if I tore into it- and found this. Great video! It's videos like this that make me love RUclips. Thanks for posting this
Excellent work. I just literally found the EXACT same model dumped with a missing wheel. I restored another a while ago, but not to the level you did, Nice job! I was actually interested in what you did about the flaky outlet connections-I see you changed them-I had never seen them before-so that was going to be my resolution to the problem, thanks for confirming it!
I have watched a couple of your restoration videos now and I am impressed with the level of detail you go into. However, I wanted to see what you did to check the integrity of the steel air cylinder which as you know, are prone to internal rusting over the years and have the potential to crack and explode. I did not see you doing any checks for rust nor cleaning/ internal treatment on the cylinder. Can you comment on this? Thanks
@@malikbratislava7928 clean yes, safe, only maybe. given the amount of water that came out, we can be sure the former owner did not remove the water either...
Hi Thank you for the video, it is really good, clearly you spent a lot of time and effort to restore this air compressor, with excellent result. Just a couple of comments: 1- It might’ve been easier if you washed the part with petrol or kerosene (we call it whit spirit in the UK), rather than washing powder. Well this is what I would’ve done. 2- I think you have re-installed the white cooling fan back to front. It might worth checking that. However, it is really brilliant video. Thank you.
I like the pefection you gave in video and the minute details u took care love to see this type of work but one think what i also want to see if the air tanker is leaked or not which is missing in this other then that i loved it
I learnt a lot from your video today, also learnt they can explode from another video. I have had my small home/shed compressor 15 years and never serviced it once :( My bad on that.
Good, just watching this video, is there a to get rust out the tank, and removing the balance in the oil reservoir mine stuck and won't come off no matter what I try.
Goodnight, from Jamaica, I have a similar compressor needed some repair , but the balancing wheel won't come off so I can't get the bearing out of the casing , tried everything, any ideas?
the restoration is amazing, but what about the inside of the compressor tank? Can that be checked and restored for safety? Because an internal rust situation can deteriorate the tank and cause a life and death scenario. I am very concerned about the tank's internal safety.
Hi. I respect the amount of effort you have put into this work, but you have missed two things. 1. You should make a pressure test on the tank 2. Piston rings have to be in a proper horizontal rotation. The rule is around 45 deg. with every next one groove.
Your Videos Recorded Then You Put It On RUclips I Love To See How You Clean Every Engine Detail And How You Treat The Paint Surface So Carefully And Beautifully 👍👍👍👍
Any old tank are prone to rust damage which could cause the air tank to explode. Part of a restoration process should be to pressure test the tank with water up to 2x the air pressure so that any failures won't result in an explosion.
I can´t take off the manifold to replace it. That nut at the bottom of the manifold is a reverse thread for what I can see. It doesn´t seem to come off, but I can´t turn the manifold. Any tips? The alternative is to plug somehow the right air outlet which I cracked when replacing the fitting. I saw a video where some dude cancelled and plugged it, but he doesn´t show what to use, it looks like some kind of metal epoxi.

That is specifically why I watched the video. I did not see anything about the interior of the tank.
@@A_Renaissance_Man if you do find anything about the tank interior restoration or treatment, please let me know
🤣"check the integrity of the steel air cylinder" ,,,you must be kidding its a nice clean dangerous bomb now ..
@@ianmcgarrigle9510 Sorry, i don't understand, this is not a proper way to clean the AC compressor or?
