Well done, gentlemen! Now you've piqued my sonic hunger for a cover of Carpet Crawlers. ... " Like the forest fight for sunlight, that takes root in every tree. They are pulled up by the magnet, believing they're free. "
Badass, guys! The Lamb is my favorite album ever. You guys nailed it! I can't speak for everyone, but I like Genesis covers/tributes because I never saw them live and will never have that chance. Keep up the good work!
This was great fun to listen to and watch. I would be good with more collabs especially if it means more videos from you. :-) I wonder if I'm related to Micah. Ask him if he has Ball family in Michigan by way of Canada, please.
I think you've done this brilliantly. But here's a question about covering songs: What's the point? - If you try to imitate the original as good as possible, there is no reason why anybody should listen to your version rather than the original. I understand how covering a song and modifying it makes sense. Giving the song your own touch, creating a fresh variation for people who love the original but have heard it too often. To show people a new facet, a new perspective on something that they already know and love. It's obvious that you guys have invested a lot of time and passion into this. So why didn't you create your own variation of this song? Don't you feel like however well you perform, you can never really reach the original?
Thank you, and it's a good question that I struggle with myself sometimes. Doing tribute-type covers is just plain fun, and for some reason, people like to see it. However I disagree that our version isn't a variation on the original: It's a few clicks faster, and we each put our personal stylistic stamp on it, whether we wanted to or not. That's how it always is with covers or tributes I think. Plus, our version has mistakes :-)
+EddieCurrentCovers I am one of those people who search RUclips for accurate covers of songs. Yes, one could listen to the original but when you love a song - it's possible to have listened to the original one too many times. The slight variation is all we look for when we seek out tributes. You're doing a fantastic job (I especially love your cover of Pigs).
+Brendon Dail First off, nothing. There is nothing wrong with that. And I didn't claim that there is anything wrong with it. Even called the way they did it "brilliant". Second, I thought I made that clear. I enjoy listening to new things that I haven't heard before. When I see talented musicians like these, I'm curious about what kind of music they would produce if they made something original. What's wrong with that? Third, what is "Don't stop believing"? Should I know it? Fourth: This is the typical "I don't like your comment. This here is what I like, so everyone whose opinion I don't like should go away and comment somewhere else where I won't see it" kind of comment. It's difficult for me to find a good answer for that one, because such "top dog" comments are better left ignored. Of course, it can always be turned around: If you firmly hold the opinion that I shouldn't even have left a comment here, why did you even bother replying?
***** You're misrepresenting what I said. I never said it's for nothing. You just pulled that out of nowhere. Again, I said it's brilliantly done. I find them so great that I'm even curious about their own original songs! For me, that's something positive. You are "telling me off" because you feel like you need to protect those guys. What an honorable job to have. But you are really overdoing it, mate.
Wow! Who else just gets up and nails an early Genesis cover on RUclips? Nobody!

We also do 'Fly on a windshield/Broadway melody of '74" ... which comes out much better!

A-MA-ZING!! Well done! I love this album! Our band has tried 'The Carpet Crawlers' (with mixed success), but it's always fun to do!
You guys are awesome! Do you promote your band? Frick and frack, if I was having a party, I'd definetly hire you guys!!!!!!
Did you ever check out Nick D'Virgilio's (Spock's Beard/Big Big Train) full cover of this album he did a few years ago?
That song has the strangest chords I’ve heard so far!
If i was good enough i'd be covering early Genesis instead of Pink Floyd - great job, very exciting to discover and watch.
Wouldn't that be great to see you guys perform The Lamb on a stage? Start working on it!
hey eddie, any chance of you making any holiday related cover?
no in depth review... just a few words are in order... FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rael is real!

Nice, but a little slower would´ve been better.
