"Pigs (Three Different Ones)" Recreated

- My project this summer was a faithful recreation of this song from Pink Floyd's awesome 1977 album "Animals." Years ago I similarly re-recorded "Dogs" (on 8-track tape!) - this time I wanted to do a full video treatment. Stove Clock plays keyboards.

Ibanez Roadstar II guitar (effects: Line 6 POD, AmpliTube, Electro-Harmonix Small Stone phaser)
"Talk box" effect is an old Walkman earpiece wrapped in plastic and pumped with a loud signal from the POD

Univox Maxikorg analog synth
SampleTank organ & piano sounds
Shure SM-58 & SM-57 dynamic mics (the latter inside a toilet-paper tube)
Yamaha SPX90 reverb, circa 1986

I would listen to this like the original at anytime and i wouldn't tell the difference at all because this is outstanding at absolutely nailed at every aspect

Great cover! This is one of the toughest Pink Floyd track. Especially for the bassist. Second only to the Water’s classic bass line on “Money” from Dark Side of the Moon!! David Gilmour played the bass in the original track! Not to miss out on Nick’s knock on the drums! Gilmour’s guitar is really scathing in this album. Rick’s intro in “Dog”, absolutely mesmerising!! I term it as the “angriest” Floyd album!

I've seen a lot of people try and cover or recreate Floyd songs with little success. Not only have you managed to get the music and the effects as close to the original as possible, you've done it across the board with every instrument. I have to admit I'm jealous because I wish I could play Floyd songs as good as you. Keep up the good work and would love to see some more videos. Especially songs done during the Barrett days.

Not as challenging as "Hey You," which really gets up there with that high strainy Roger sound. The high notes in "Pigs" are falsetto, which makes things easier.
