What blows my mind even more is the fact that he sings while playing the bass line, even when Roger Waters just played rhythm guitar on the original track as the bassline was played by David Gilmour.
@@TeamMastaPr2That is correct, not too many people know that. It's also pretty cool, and an obscure fact that Roger played rhythm guitar on it. Good comment TMPr2.
So people came on here to hear a Pigs cover the guy does a phenomenal job on every instrument and there are still 34 dislikes Just goes to show, there are certain people you just can't please no matter what.
I most DEFINITELY agree with the other comments posted here. This is, by far, the MOST faithful cover of "Pigs (Three Different Ones) that I have EVER heard! Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! 😜
F******ck! This just came up in a video playlist and it wasn't till I closed all the windows I was working in did I realise it was a cover. I've played Animals thousands of times in the past 40 years - studio and live - and this is brilliant.
I meant the guy in this video, and btw Gilmour played the whole bass part Fret and fretless and played that thunderous guitar solo . you can do all during recording FYI like in Fat old sun
+Batboy Carroll did Roger really play the rhythm guitar parts on this track? That's awesome, I always assumed David played the bass parts and all of the guitar parts, because the rhythm guitar part is so good
I would listen to this like the original at anytime and i wouldn't tell the difference at all because this is outstanding at absolutely nailed at every aspect
Absolutely amazing ! 🤘😫🤘 When I was 15, another kid swiped this LP from his step-dad and gave it to me as a joke. I ended up loving it for the rest of my life. I feel bad looking back now.
WOW!!!! Blown away! You sound like Roger himself in the studio in 1977 singing this masterpiece. Amazing you were able to re-create this masterpiece so faithful to the original rendition of the song....all by yourself too! INCREDIBLE. There are not many people in the entire world that could do this amazing feat.....let alone sound almost exactly like the studio recording of the song! Well done sir.
I don't say this about a lot of covers, mainly because they are not true enough to the original, but you guys really nailed this one. Have to say that direct duplication is almost a prerequisite for Pink Floyd tunes.
One of the best cover renditions of "Pigs" ever done...........PERIOD. Very accurate representation of the song as well. And the fact this man plays all the instruments except one is a feat in itself. Especially attempting to mesh all these together. I can't imagine how many different times he had to play through this song to get enough satisfactory recordings to accurately mesh everything into a song. Absolutely incredible.
Damn near made me Cry..How close to the Original you got..its insane..Kudos Man.. This Song reminds me of a Friend whom Passed away in July 2012.. before I got Married.. God Bless him..strange but the Guitars on here make me think of him and this Song..
DAMN Good job, Eddie!! I wish you lived near me, we could start a Pink Floyd cover band and play Floyd influenced originals. You have the heart of a true Pink Floydian!! :) Shine on, you awesome diamond!
After many years of delineating, and having plenty of songs I absolutely love from many very different genres, I have also determined that this is my definitive favorite song. To me, "song" almost seems like a much too simple term for what this is. Songs are things I put on in the background of life for ambience, I simply can't do that with Pigs, no matter how many countless times I hear it, it always captures my complete focus. I also partook in a little experiment and synced the original to this recreation (with a high end DAW PC) and found that, sonically, this is about as perfect as you're going to get. The tones are reproduced SO well and this guy absolutely nailed that aspect in nearly every single sound, it's an incredible achievement. But I also learned that the pacing of the recreation is not anywhere near as accurate as the tones are. I'm not sure if the pacing changes were intended by the creator, and probably much to the chagrin of the creator, I was very happy to find out the pacing is slightly off, because I now know the original recording has subtle timing changes, and those subtle timing changes are very likely what makes this piece of music so "attention grabbing." While I definitely applaud the creator for showing so much love to the original recording, I found that this recreation just made me crave to experience the original again.
Bravo!! You captured so many subtle and just crazy, additive nuances that makes your cover a masterpiece (as was the original). Thanks for the angle on the solo which is going to accelerate my learning! Can't wait to go see/hear more from you!
honestly dude this sounds like the actual recording. this is my fav pink floyd song since i still remember it being in my nightmare one night. its aery and sinister sounding. only different i can pinpoint are the keyboards are slightly different but everything else is spot on including your vocals
Holy cowbell, man, you're BRILLIANT! Are you sure you're not Pink Floyd in disguise? Lol. Seriously, you sound exactly like them, from the vocals to all the instruments. You got superhuman abilities man! Keep em coming. Maybe a cover of Dogs next? ;)
Truly one of the best covers of this song. Full bands that do stage shows pale in comparison. Check mate, you nailed it. Check mate. You will live forever for your efforts in the fight to wake up the world. Be proud. Check mate. Wow. Thank you.
There were times where I didn't even realize I was listening to a cover, especially during the instrumentals, it was that close. Really, an amazing job.
Awesome Album is an understatement. This video highlights just how much actually goes into a great recording such as this track. I never put much thought into this even having a piano. Great job guys - thank you for posting.
My first inclination is to say that you have waaaay too much time on your hands. My second is to say thank you for spending that time. Very impressive!
Only 212K views? And some idiot gets on tiktok and makes a fool out of themselves for 5 seconds and gets millions of hits? This posters videos , efforts and musical talent is a national treasure in comparison
My god, this is unbelievable. If you had someone listen to this, without looking, I'm sure they would think it was the album recording. And if they had a really good ear I'm sure their second guess would be that it's an alternative take or live performance. Not only instrumentally, but vocally, he's emulated the recording exactly. It's scary how well done this is.
Recién he visto el video por primera vez y me he quedado sorprendido. Que calidad. Que buen momento acabo de pasar. Felizmente que estaba conectado a un potente parlante. Le puse todo el volumen. Muchas gracias de todo corazón. Me regalaron un lindo momento. Que buena música. Que buen cover. 👏 👏 👏 👏
I see I'm already subscribed, but I'm surprised I haven't commented on this already. You must have done something else as equally impressive! Love the guitar "swells" and the talk-box solo! Also like the leads that are tonally different, like in the A blues section. Though not as rough in tone, they fit your version nicely. Damn good singing, too. It's not an easy vocal, pretty high-pitched for a man, and that falsetto _"cry"_ is quite a feat. The ways in which you sound different are fine. I want to know, are you using three mics for your vocals, and why? I would have liked to hear the original delay setting on _"charade you are",_ but it's cool. The drumming is great, I love the stereo spread, and they sound as good as an acoustic set. A lot of guitarist/bassists can play some keyboards, but drums, no way! You're an excellent bassist, BTW. I think the original, though fretless, was played with a pick, but fingerstyle gives you much more dynamic control, so kudos! The first rhythm guitar part was doubled on the original, giving it more "balls", and I would have advised you to do the same. Also, the ending solo could have been mixed louder, a bit more dirty and reverb'ed, but your actual playing is pretty much flawless, certainly better than I could do. I wouldn't have minded the song going on longer! _Animals_ is my favorite PF album, and this is the warmest-sounding song on it ... and you've nailed both the accuracy and "heart" of it! It's quite an accomplishment, and I would love to see Gilmour or Waters react to it. I think they'd _have_ to give you thumbs up!
You are one of the coolest dudes on the face of the planet for doing this. Thanks. I just love that album and my wife says I'm obsessed and she's right.
June 28, 2017: Today I'm beginning a full-on recreation of "Sheep."
EddieCurrentCovers looking forward to it!
Please do, I know it can't be easy but this is great!
When will sheep be done?
Just finished!

Why did it take RUclips 11 years to provide this to my feed? I could have watched it a million times by now.
My thoughts exactly! 🤔
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think. Oh, by the way, which one’s Ed?
He's pink
I almost gave a literal answer to this. Close one.
@Brandon Avila
He's Floyd.

Besides being able to play every instrument in this song flawlessly, what blows my mind is how great the singing is
Yeah. Pink Fraud could have used him to sing all of Roger's bits. If he spat on someone, some folks never would have known the difference.
What blows my mind even more is the fact that he sings while playing the bass line, even when Roger Waters just played rhythm guitar on the original track as the bassline was played by David Gilmour.
@@TeamMastaPr2 i did not know that.
@@TeamMastaPr2That is correct, not too many people know that. It's also pretty cool, and an obscure fact that Roger played rhythm guitar on it. Good comment TMPr2.

I most DEFINITELY agree with the other comments posted here. This is, by far, the MOST faithful cover of "Pigs (Three Different Ones) that I have EVER heard! Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! 😜
I'm usually very harshly critical of covers and can honestly say this cover is perfect....almost unbelievably exact. Bravo to you sir
while listening to this i shit my pants cause i didnt wanna go to the toilet....AMAZING!!!
+Der Papa Please hit the pause button next time and take care of buisness
This is reaaaaaally impressive. Amazingly done. I think it is the best cover I've ever seen.
I don't know what's better here: the bass, the guitars, the singing or the drums. Or being able to play them all!
11 yeas later….this is still the best cover I’ve found for this song….
Wow! Just like the original....
I know I'm almost a decade late, but this cover is incredible man. Sounds just like the record.
I don't have words for such perfection, only do more than this! That's Pink Floyd all-in-one, GREAT!
F******ck! This just came up in a video playlist and it wasn't till I closed all the windows I was working in did I realise it was a cover. I've played Animals thousands of times in the past 40 years - studio and live - and this is brilliant.
Why nobody is talking about the BASS playing... god he played like David Gilmour and sang nicely at the same time!!!!
Usually: yes. But in "Pigs" not: Gilmour played fretless bass (check wikipedia).
I meant the guy in this video, and btw Gilmour played the whole bass part Fret and fretless and played that thunderous guitar solo . you can do all during recording FYI like in Fat old sun
Waters played rhythm guitar and Gilmour played bass and lead
+Batboy Carroll did Roger really play the rhythm guitar parts on this track? That's awesome, I always assumed David played the bass parts and all of the guitar parts, because the rhythm guitar part is so good
OUT-SMEGGIN-STANDING!!!
Rare to find such an accurate and well done cover!!
Thank You!!
Hands down one of the most amazing Floyd covers ever, keep it up man! Great Work!
I would listen to this like the original at anytime and i wouldn't tell the difference at all because this is outstanding at absolutely nailed at every aspect
That sounded exceptionally good, even the guy on that Scooby-Doo drum kit.🥁👍
All difficulties of recreating a studio recording such as this aside, you did a fantastic job here. One of my favourite Floyd tunes for sure.
I came here expecting a huge fail..

Credit to your keyboard player too! Awesome job as well.
The best cover of the best Band on Earth. The pianist plays just funky outstanding!
Amazing vocals. Its all top notch but damn you sound just like Roger!

Thanks for paying such a nice tribute to a Floyd song that sometimes gets forgotten .... except to Floyd fans of course !!
✌️
This is incredible. When I close my eyes I can’t tell the difference between this and the original. Great work!
You can already hear the difference, but they managed it well!🙂

Just searching on youtube to learn this song on guitar and came across this amazing video. This is actually so cool and accurately played
10 years after this. Im here and im really impressed. love the whole album so much
Pink Floyd is my all time favorite band, man. And usually covers can never do them justice but holy shit brother. That was awesome.

I don't usually like covers but this is actually very well done, congratulations
Great job. When I see this kind of stuff I always wonder how many of you are professional musicians.
Voce fantastica, sincronismo perfetto di tutti. Un brano suonato degnamente come pochi. Bravissimi.
I come back to this video again and again. It is the best cover I have ever heard of a Floyd song.

Just add Alan Parsons or any other producer who's worked with PF and we have a one man PF.
