@@bellaassa4946 The only oil in these forks is inside the sealed lockout cartridge, if that has leaked then there is no way to put any in. Other than that, the spring and bushings use grease as a lubricant.
@George few things to check - Make sure the lever is actually turning the spindle, spindle allen key is long enough to engage lockout mechanism , plastic lever is not damaged in any way.
I have a similar issue, but with an air fork, with remote lockout and rebound control...how can I check the problem and fix it? It is a SR Suntour Raidon XC Air 27.5" Thanks!
Hello, awesome video! I have a suntour raidon fork on a specialized 6fattie.. the bike literally has less than 10 miles on it and today the lockout quit working. I tried everything suggested in this video but even when locked using the 4mm Allen key, there was no difference whatsoever and the fork did not lock at all. The bike is like basically new and has literally no trail use on it yet. The lockout worked Great two days ago and the only thing I can think of was I stored the bike upside down on the handle bars and seat for about an hour... would that make a difference? Can you add oil to these forks? What should I do? Thank you.
HI, the damper/lock out systems in these forks are sealed units, so if this video wont work it is most likely an issue inside the unit. They cannot be serviced and need to be replaced. I recommend taking it to you're local bike shop to go further.
Here my problem with the same fork... is that both nuts where the allen keys enter. .they don't give you a cap. they go round and round and round and never close. can they be faked? As we would say in Argentina...swept bagel.
I own a talon 3 with a xct sun tour fork, with a lockout. When I turn the bolt with the 5mm it keeps on spinning, same with the 4mm. I don’t know if it’s stripped or what. Granted it was somewhat dirty inside the fork when I popped off the cap. Still, thanks for the help👍.
@@oisindenvir4492 Thanks. I have just managed to muddle my way through it by tightening the 4mm one whilst holding the adjustment nut by the hub and it went tight. After that I could tighten the 5mm one.
Without knowing what exact fork you have, I would try doing what's in this video but turning the allen key anti-clockwise to see if it unlocks it. If it does not work then maybe you require a new damper cartridge and a lower leg service.
Great video, I have the Suntour Radion forks, similar setup - tightened both so that they are firm, but still get movement. Also increased air pressure on other side to 120psi. Can you advise further?

I have a city scrambler with a proprietary mozo fork. It's different than your video. I can't seem to remove the spindle. It won't lockout and I don't want to have to send it back for a replacement. Can you help? Thanks!
I've got the blue turn tab off and the spindle nut. But the rod that's in the spindle nut is stuck inside the locking nut. I've sprayed WD40 and wiggled the rod with pliers but no luck get the rod out any suggestions?
What does it mean if I follow your instructions and the fork is still not locking out? I used the 5mm allen key to tighten the outside "bolt" followed by the 4mm allen key turning it clockwise until it can go no further. The fork definitely got a bit stiffer but still won't fully lock! I live in a country where it's hard to come by a professional bike repair shop! I hope you can help!
HI Terry, Apologies for the late reply. Suntour employ a sealed unserviceable cartridge for their lock out/rebound system, therefore if these instructions do not solve your issue then you will need a replacement cartridge.
My lockout stopped working but mine is stuck in the locked position... Riding is extremely harsh. What could I do? Also, I do not have a blue speed lockout

The 5m holds the topcap onto the L/O cartridge. Try turning the 4mm clockwise until it stops before doing the 5mm. If the 5mm keeps spinning the cartridge below will be spinning to, this is ok as long as the 5mm does not come loose from the cartridge.

Ha! I managed to fix it, but I had to loosen the 5mm bolt, which I suspect will cause the issue of the Speed Lock Out not closing again. Tightening it too much prevented the SLO to open... Thoughts?
@@chuje07 Hi. Yes I could fix it. I had to turn the lockout several times until turn no more; and from this point I tryied to push the fork and check if it was soft or hard.
