I think the idea of sewing non clothing is great, love the blouse ideas I've been making a few blouses lately and really enjoying them, I don't have a fabric stash anymore I find it too overwhelming, I get the inspiration, find the pattern or draft it myself and them enjoy the fabric buying process voila xx

Loving your bag Angela and can’t wait to see it finished. Now I’m not enabling you, but you could make your apron and ironing board cover in the same fabric? 😂 Definitely don’t force yourself to sew, but sewing a pattern that you’ve made before and like would be a sensible option. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻 x

What a lot of very inspiring blouses you've mentioned! There were a lot that I felt I could make - except the Marnie! Too fussy for me, even without the frills and ruffles 🤣 I lost my sewjo a few months ago and it's horrible isn't it? I managed to finish a t-shirt last month, and have started a Gilbert top this month, but every time I hit a tricky bit (right now it's the collar) I stall. Good luck to you as you slowly return to sewing x

Hi Angela, I‘d like to express my love for you and your channel 🥰 I‘m not on RUclips as much as I used to because life just keeps getting in my way but every time I come back and watch a video of yours or two I fall back in love! You are definitely the kind of person I would love to be friends with and I‘m kind of sad I didn’t get the chance to meet you at the stitch festival 😄 anyways I‘m very grateful for your channel and I‘m sure the sewjo will come back. Maybe a wee fabric purchase may also help 😇 I appreciate your stash busting plans (I do have them aswell) but sometimes I think we need something new to boost the sewjo. Have a wonderful weekend!! When my sewjo disappears, it soon comes back when I try to shop ready-to-wear and find something the style of which I like but not the colour, or the fabric! Or even vice versa. Or the fit is not good. All good reasons to sew. Love the vlog.

What about using the black fabric for the apron and ironing board cover and making the sleeveless blouse from your stash or treat yourself to something special to make it with - it wouldn’t take much fabric and it is totally different from all your other blouses, albeit that they’re all beautiful. An exciting challenge (your face lit up here and you said it is your style) and a compromise on fabric expenditure ❤. Have fun and no pressure if it’s all too much 🤩 xx

So many fantastic options! The most beautiful Marnie Blouse I've seen was by Sally from Secret Life of a Seamstress. I was not into that pattern AT ALL, but Sally made it in a really delicate fabric with all of the tucks and none of the ruffles and I have been dreaming of making it ever since. The Tilda is also on my list, and there's another beautiful one I came across recently by Cousette called the Espellette. It has some gorgeous pleaty-tucky details in the neckline, and can also be a dress. (I've bought fabric for both!) Incidentally, I am currently in the process of organising and cataloguing the stash I've been collecting for 20+ years and I hate to say it, but it's actually making me seriously consider not buying anymore fabric. 😅 Good luck coaxing your sew-jo back! I hope it doesn't stay away too long. 💙

I love your ideas for the blouse challenge. I am going to search through my pattern stash and try to get at least a couple made up, one for sure is the Paddington top. It's pretty and a quick sew. I decided to put myself on a fabric ban for 2024. I need to use the fabrics I have! So far I've made a quilted jacket, 6 tshirts, 4 turtleneck tops, 4 little girl dresses, one with matching leggings and tshirt. I've already pulled at least 5 pieces for blouses. I am also determined to lose a few some weight, but more importantly, start exercising to be in better shape, and healthier. I do like your Marnie blouse but I still don't think it's for me. But the details are so striking.

I really like your blouses. The pussy bow blouse is really pretty, but it does look a bit work wear. I didn't hear about Sew Frugal until two weeks into March. I thought the April blouse thing sounds just right and I have a couple of blouse patterns picked out. I too, am trying to avoid buying fabric. How is your foot, when I the same condition I thought I would loose my mind because it was so hard to exercise or walk around the grocery store. Best wishes and happy sewing! I can't wait to download the sweet blouse from Maison Fauve.

Why beat yourself up about buying fabric, especially if you have lost your sewjo. The amount you’d need for an ironing board cover would be small and not worth cutting into a bigger piece in your stash for. Get something you really like and enjoy making the ironing board cover.

Make your apron reversible and it will have 2 nice sides in case one side gets stained.
