For the lovely pink backed floral you want to make into a gilet, may I suggest you do fell seams? Binding may be too bulky and why waste lining fabric and cover up that beautiful pink?
Have you looked at the Nell trousers from Sew Me Something, flat front and elasticated back. Just a thought. I have the pattern and am planning on making it. ❤
