The link you posted isn't the same molcajete you used in the video. Please post a link for the molcajete you used in this video. I am cancelling my order.
I am Black American with roots in Nigeria, Haiti, Jamaica, etc... I make a mean guacamole. I add ripe avocados, red, sweet, and green onions, cilantro, a tablespoon of green peppers, a cup of tomatoes, a dash of garlic, a tablespoon of sour cream, juice from one lime and teaspoon of olive oil, and jalapeño pepper to taste and a 1/8 of cayenne pepper.
I like to use a butter knife to score the avocado in it's halve. Then when you scoop it out, it's already chunky. When you stir in the other ingredients the consistency becomes perfect.
Apparently a lot of Italians as well as Spanish (and Portuguese lol..) migrated to South America during the colonialism.of the Americas, hence why you get the best mixture of all the Latin cultures and indigenous traditions .. to get the best mixture of classical flavours blended to make the best food, call it Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Mayan, Portuguese, Brazilian, Argentinian, Inca, Aztec, the result is the among best food on the planet.. 😊✌
Just made the Mortar and Pestle recipe. Best Guacamole I’ve ever had! Creamy and delicious and perfectly seasoned. Can’t stop eating it with Blue Corn tortilla chips.
I love to watch food videos of different cultures. From Russia, to Ghana, to Asian and Mexico. I hope Santa brings me a molcajete. Thank you. Plus your kitchen is so warm and inviting. I could sit all day and just watch you cook.
Out of all the search results of "how to make guacamole" I definitely wanted to find a thumbnail with someone who's Hispanic. Now this is a real tutorial. Skipped right past all the Karen tutorials
Rossana, I just used my molcajete I purchased at your recommendation, and cured/seasoned per your instructions. I used it to make a salsa verde and this guacamole tonight. It's the same guacamole recipe as mine, but the molcajete and the grinding of the onion and serranos made this the best I've ver had. Thank you!
I have been making guacamole for my co-workers for the past 3 weeks and they absolutely love it. Thank you for showing me how to make fresh and delicious guacamole.
Many of your have requested a reliable link to a molcajete. I wanted to let you know I am working on sourcing one but it does take some time. Hope you enjoy this video!
I had to go all over to find mine. We have several Mexican grocers here but I still had to go to 4 shops to find one, and the one I got wasn't as nice and deep as yours is. Mine is about 1/2 as deep but the same diameter. They also were missing the pestle except for one, so I got that one. It looks like a pig kinda but I think it's a bull. :P I am so happy using it, I don't have a blender and I didn't want to buy a blender, the molcajete is so much better. Thanks for these great recipes.
HUGE thumbs up for the Molcajete . I love that you put in dried Mexican Oregano . I also like to grind pepper corns and coriander seeds with sea salt in the molcajete to put over the top .
I got my first metallic when I was 10 I grew up in Indian countries so I call them on my tap tape. Besides, that could never say the other word. But I love mine. I do everything in mind, so I understand why you love yours so much.
Saludos.
Hola Rossana, this video was the one that I saw about a year ago that sent me down the Mexican food rabbit hole, Thank You for sharing your amazing recipes. The majority (I may be safe to say all) of the recipes I make are from your channel and they are delicious 🤤 Nelson you ROCK!!!
You forgot the part that when you pop the avocado seed off of your knife that it has to roll off the counter and onto the floor and slide all the way across and under a cabinet or a refrigerator 😂 I don’t think it ever taste quite the same unless you have to chase the seed across the floor.
Thank you for being hispanic and showing how you make your food. I didn’t want to get this from a non hispanic bc I knew it wouldn’t taste the same. Thank you so much it was really good
I’m a huge guacamole fan and make it often for my family. I finally splurged and picked up a new molcajete and cannot wait to try making guacamole in it. Thank you for showing the process!
My wife inherited an old molcajete from her family and we are going to use your video on curing it so we can use it for some guacamole! Love your videos!
I cannot wait to make these. I do not have a molcajete, but I did make your salsa recipe (the roasted one) and it is truly the best salsa I have had since when I lived back in Houston. I miss their Mexican food so much, so thank you for showing how to make it. I love your channel and am looking forward to learning more. Will you teach us how to make al pastor? I love those tacos but have been unsuccessful in making my own.
thank you for this clear and entertaining explanation...i am here in my sisters kitchen while she is away for work trying to figure out guacamole from some old looking avocados...
Thank you so much for this and your video on curing! I was in Coatzalcoalcos for work and brought a couple Molcajetes back with me. Can't wait to make some guac and salsa!
Excellent recipe. I used half a jalapeño with seeds and one more avocado because mine were kind of small. Ground up in the molcajete… it was gone in 15 minutes lol
Several of my Aunts are Mexican. They each have their own style of cooking. Probably due to being born in different parts of Mexico. Problem is, they wont send recipes. We all live in different states. They always say, "You have to be here when I make it". So, us Weto's have to find good recipes that taste like theirs. Liked, saved and subbed! Now....... on to some of your other recipes!
You can now find the link to my new 8'' molcajete in the description box, make sure to check my video on how to cure it. ☺️
Someday I’d like to get one to make my salsa with
Do you still have the link to the old molcajete you used on this video? This molcajete looks heavy duty 😀

yumm sounds great 😀👍
Sounds awesome.
Olive oil is my secret too!
I like to use a butter knife to score the avocado in it's halve.
Then when you scoop it out, it's already chunky.

Sour cream? Ain’t authentic, but I imagine it gives it a good texture
Tomatoes ain’t authentic either.
I absolutely adore mexican food. Some of the best food on the whole planet
Ditto
I have to agree
Don’t forget Dominican Food as well lol
It’s the best. Italian a close second.. shhhh, don’t tell my boyfriend. He’s Italian.

That sounds delicious! Guacamole fiesta for sure!

Love it!!!! I bet you are a pro now.
Which one did they like the most?
Me and my wife love this recipee. Greetings from Poland!
I can tell they all taste great just by the way you made them with those fresh ripe ingredients and keeping the avocado chunky.
Girlll you killed with all recipes but the last one is BOMB and my fave for most flavor !! thank you 😉

It looks fantastic ! Another secret is to put the avocado seed back in the guacamole to keep it from turning dark green or black.
I just bought my Molcajete in order to make it right. I was making Guacamole in a blender before but Now I'm Good 👍
Congratulations on your purchase. You own a piece of history now.
@@VillaCocina Ty, this weekend I'll be preparing Fideo for my GF and me for dinner. It should be Great 👍

Ain't no party like a guacamole party!
That’s right! 🎉🎉
Thank you! I fixed this today for my wife and she LOVED it. I substituted the white onion for a red onion. It came out very good. Thank you again
As someone who has just gotten into eating avocados, these recipes look great. 🙂
I got my first metallic when I was 10 I grew up in Indian countries so I call them on my tap tape. Besides, that could never say the other word.

Hello this is the first time making guacamole and it turned out perfect thank you!!
I love the neck roll after the last taste. It says it all. 😋
You forgot the part that when you pop the avocado seed off of your knife that it has to roll off the counter and onto the floor and slide all the way across and under a cabinet or a refrigerator 😂 I don’t think it ever taste quite the same unless you have to chase the seed across the floor.
