No I didn't buy another vehicle but while on vacation a few people have been bugging me to fix their trucks. I decided I might as well make a video on how to replace a starter on a gmc sierra truck. This process is the exact same on a chevy silverado starter as well as most ls starter motors. Not a lot required to do this job and can be done in your driveway in probably 15 mins.

I know this channel isn’t the biggest car channel in the world, but I wanted to let you know I enjoy your videos more than the big time youtubers. You will make it there.
Thank you for that. I really appreciate comments like that
Truck just broke down in a lot. Has a camper I. Bed Noone will tow. Thank you for video will be going to change starter in lot myself.
Man that sucks
You'd make a good neighbor
Lol. That depends on the neighbors age.
Paying it Forward 👍👍👍
Yes
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you
Short and precise!
Thank you
Replaced my starter on my TA was a little hassle for me but i manage to install it in 👍👍
Yeah they are a little closer
Travis getting off the beaten path on vehicle talk. But be safe out there with the Coronavirus my friend. Where I live there shutting everything down....
Thanks man
Thanks for the great vid man! Had my starter go on my 6.0 the other day, (no crank no start) so hopefully this does the trick
Glad I could help
Was that your issue?
This is awesome. Exact same model and year as the beast not starting in my driveway. Hopefully this does the trick, about to get at it!
Thank you. Hope it helps
@@TWAMotorsports Got it done and running again. Probably the most helpful part was knowing to have an angled pick in hand to get that sensor plug off with no fight. Needed every bit of that space to get the starter out.
@dylanwebb401 it is close
Perfect.
Thank you Scott
Nice upload Travis but hey when you gonna get back with the trans am I really wanna see that finished brother. 👍👍
As I stated in a few videos back. I am doing my old 52 truck before the Trans Am. It will be this year though
Did you find out about the deal to have all the headlights on for 99-02 silverado. Like that one you have on your tahoe
I haven't. They don't make an easy drop in option like the tahoe.
@@TWAMotorsports you should try the one you have on the Tahoe in the Silverado and see if it works and let us know. I bet it will work. Should be about the same fuse box. Please. I'm trying to get one but I wanna make sure it will work in my 2000 Silverado.
@@PABLOESCOBAR-ph3el I don't think it will because power is sourced from different areas.
My starter came off nowhere near as easy as yours did!!! Also how can I reconnect my oil level sensor? I ripped the connector off of the wire when pulling off the starter
Use a pick and unplug. Reconnect wire or buy a new plug
Gravy bro
That's for sure
Should it turn on without the battery being connected???🤔🤔🤔
Not sure how
No
nobody knows your channel and no one cares, we are here for the starter
