Thats the point im trying to explain, so many cool "real" race cars with pedigree are missing in place of private team cars that didn't even made it to the race.
I'd argue Gran Turismo has always had its share of weird race cars, the base game has the Kraft Trueno that never was competitive. The Escort rally car for '98 when it had fallen off etc
I wonder how close the Camaro LM's specs are to the actual Stock Car Products/Hoyt Overbagh Camaro that competed in the IMSA GTS class at the '95 Daytona 24 Hours. That's the car that the white and yellow [R] mod is based on.

I promise you for race cars I'm not that good usually so the developer reached out and let me know more about the cars, road cars though for the most part I can spit ball on for a few minutes
Are they going to correct the overperforming Escudo and Cultus on tarmac? also are they going to make the Jaguar XJ220 1150kg as much as it does in real life as a race car and make the awesome Lister Storm 1150kg like it is in reality instead of the 1320 and 1290 respectively. I hope so some cars really need to be corrected. Also the 20b rotary makes more than a 13b so the Eunos Cosmo needs to make more hp than the RX7.
It's more about adding content as opposed to fixing that stuff, the Storm I think might be fixed but beyond that no because that's more work then it's worth
Komputer here, giving more of an exact answer. Adding tracks is not possible due to the track format not being as well documented as the car model format.
I wonder if they've fixed the bug in the base game in the Audi A4 or S4 racing modification, if you enter a night race the textures become all messed up
@8:58 Yay they did what the creators should have done. The Lister is the weight it should have been. I hope they add the Panoz Esperante GTR-1 to this game with the right stats.
The Vauxhall vectra 2.5 v6 Gsi does exist im driving one currently 😅
Opel Vectra 2.5 GSi does not
you shouldnt use the 60fps cheat it breaks physics slightly and completely breaks rally physics. grip calculations are tied to 30fps.
Okay
I wonder how close the Camaro LM's specs are to the actual Stock Car Products/Hoyt Overbagh Camaro that competed in the IMSA GTS class at the '95 Daytona 24 Hours. That's the car that the white and yellow [R] mod is based on.
It's based off the Camaro LM from the future games, I think the plan is to eventually make it look closer to that car to boot
We need Nürburgring Nordschleife track on GT2!
Please god no
Any idea if this mod would have an option to randomize prize cars? That would be a great addition and add some replay ability for those who chose to try prize car challenge runs.
It adds new prize cars as for randomisation I haven't seen that being possible in GT2 and I doubt this mod would have that regardless
@@TheRealEmile Even if I'm not sure how you'd implement it a GT2 randomizer would be fun.
21:07 - Actually there's no 320 Compressor Version of the R170. It uses the M112 E32 engine which is a 221 HP V6
There is a V6 compressor version which is the 32 AMG. It also uses the M112 E32 with the addition ML, which stands for Mechanical Loader
And this little boy got 359 HP
Neither the R171 nor the R172 had a 320 Compressor
Hope they'll fix it...
We have been notified of that problem and will fix it.
Nice mod, but it's a shame there are no new or better Audi. Like the LM 99 R8C or R8R, Audi S2 Coupe or something.
I don't want to confirm it but I think I've seen the TT faced R8 floating around there Discord
How did you get the Peugeot 806 Van
I think it was Super Touring Cup but that was in this version, not sure in the full release
I'm speechless
The plymouth fury is a reference to the horror movie christine
Yep
А теперь эту версию надо совместить с Gran Turismo 2 Plus 7.0 и полная доработка игры !!!
8:20 nice rx-7
Damn who's that JERACER nerd
A nerd
I hope we get something similar for GT1
Isn't possible to mod GT1, while it might be in the future no one has even managed to view the models yet while with GT2 that's been possible since the 2000's
@@TheRealEmile I hope they crack it soon. I much prefer the aesthetics and the atmosphere of GT1 to GT2 (or any other GT for that matter). There is something special about the Western release of GT1.
Can't say I'm with you, probably because I played the first game way later. Would definitely be cool to see that game get more content though
@@TheRealEmile I was a 10 year old kid in '98 when (PAL) GT1 was released and I got it the same year. The menu music from the car dealerships, the serious and sort of a industrial vibe combined with 90s aesthetics, I was floored as a kid! I get that GT2 is content wise better in every way but GT1 was a bigger leap in advancing the racing genre and will always be my fav.
When will the mod released?
Unknown, join their Discord for more updates
This kind of feels like a video from about 2015, just simply talking over gameplay like some minecraft video
Also the car showcase part of the first half of the video makes me think you know every single car in the world lol you knew which of the cars were good or bad won or lost
Any idea when this will go public?
Afraid not, I think the plan for them is to make the first release as complete as possible. They've added tons since this video
Gt2 modding, and there gt4 modding ,wtf is happen with retro gaming omg i love it
They need to assign accurate sounds. The mclaren should have the GT One sound
But the GT One is a V8 not a V12 like the McLaren?
In the game, the GT One has a v12 sound.
In this i hear a crossplane V8 being used for the McLaren
The next step is to port all of this to Unity.
What
I'm looking into adding to this mod. How can I find out how to make tracks for this mod? I want to make new tracks
Tracks are impossible to add and modify in Gran Turismo 2
@@TheRealEmile why?
@@JamesConrad-qi6gn the reason why everything else that is impossible is impossible lol
Komputer here, giving more of an exact answer.
Adding tracks is not possible due to the track format not being as well documented as the car model format.
I want the Peugeot MPV in GT7
1000 times yes
44:00 lol that 911 sound is also completely off
What are you suggesting for us to use then?
Why are you taking issue with that while the rest of the game is renowned for being very inaccurate
Will we be able to have more than 99 cars in the garage now? Vanilla game doesn’t let you have more than 100
No it's a hard coded cap and cannot be changed
Is it only for PC? I am still playing GT2 on my phone using android psx emulator.
The plan is to make it playable on the original PlayStation in time so it should be compatible with the emulators
cade o link pra baixar?
Description
1st of all where can i get the porsche and F1 and 2nd they are cool
F1 is coming in the next update, Porsche might be as well although it's not in the build I've played
Does this work on native or emulator only?
@@brainbeatuk it works on native hardware yes.
I wonder if they've fixed the bug in the base game in the Audi A4 or S4 racing modification, if you enter a night race the textures become all messed up
I think that's in Plus not sure about this
Will there be released a gt2 mod game or what is this? I dont get it 😅
@@T12RLM it's a mod for Gran Turismo 2
Shouldn't the supertouring cars be like 300 hp instead of 180?
They are just the standard cars with racing mod
@@TheRealEmile oh, thought that they were added as standalone cars
I'm feeling a bit down at not seeing the R33 Calsonic GT-R.
That's a point, could be a potential addition later on
@8:58 Yay they did what the creators should have done. The Lister is the weight it should have been. I hope they add the Panoz Esperante GTR-1 to this game with the right stats. The biased and racist PD people always made the car overweight with detrimental chassis dimensions to hinder the car. I hope they put a 1000kg Esperante with real chassis in this game. It was shafted in GT3-GT6.
where can i download this mod
Not yet released
does this mod gonna be available one day for us mortals?
Yeah I don't think release is too far off, but the guys want to make sure it's right because it releases
holden dealership?
more wheel selections?
Nope, not as far as I'm aware is that planned
