It's always shocked me how the Liberty Launcher was a weapon made to be training wheels for a class that's already considered to be quite easy to play compared to other classes, Especially in its 2011 incarnation where it was genuinely awful (for those that don't know it had 40% faster projectiles but 1 less rocket in the chamber). I'd still consider it to be quite bad, since using a T-Shirt cannon isn't really that effective at killing people (in fact the T-Shirt cannon might do more damage). 2011 added the majority of the weapons that exist in TF2 right now, and the Liberty Launcher is the perfect example of how adding that many weapons in that small amount of time really panned out for them.
There're some weapons that really don't justify existing, like 70% of heavy's arsenal or damage melees in general. Some are just mid or overlay functions with others for no reason
@@ripfrickingben Not really. That’s just the Panic Attack being overpowered on Soldier. @@supermudkipz to me that's the point: being identical is not justifying its existing. Playing stock or with Natasha is the same, therefore Natasha doesn't have a reason to exist. people hate the kunai and diamondback for one reason: they punish you for mistakes others make. if you get back stabbed it's usually your fault. if you get two shot by the diamondback or you fail to kill a spy because he is over healed is not your fault.
I once saw someone in a TF2 server simultaneously arguing that the direct hit is a bad weapon and that it was an overpowered crutch. Try to wrap your head around that level of mental gymnastics.

@purrpixelvevo The video says it's balanced because you can't hit every shot, even if you're a god. This Joker is saying it's always op when you're good. Not the same.
Feel like the diamond back is really over hated. Spy is the objective weakest class in the game, killing a spy is incredibly easy. If a spy has 6 crits to spam from half way across the map, your team isn’t doing a very good job anyways. More often than not, it’s just used by spies as a medium range kill tool or a get out of jail card, which is no more infuriating than turning a corner to a frontier Justice engi blasting me to hell and back.

Rescue ranger is a great pester tool in chokeholds, engie gets a lot of random crits after all, on defense next to a dispenser it deters quite a few players if you land all 4 bolts, also great for keeping snipers from taking aim effectively
Here's the reasons why the kunai is hated, but the zatoichi isn't: 1. The zatoichi doesn't change demoknight from glass cannon to tank at the drop of a hat 2. Demoknight gets hard countered by more stuff than spy all it takes is one well placed sentry or heavy to stop a demoknights rampage and pyro exists and spy has a gun. 3. Demoknight doesn't have a get out of jail free card unlike spy (Sure demoknight has charge, but it can be stuffed out easier than the dead ringer) 4. Demoknights rate of chain kills are much slower than spy's
As the devils advocate, despite you being more experienced in heavy, but the brass beast seems like the perfect defensive weapon. If you need to defend something at all costs, then the brass beast gives amazing buffs with a downside that is most hampering in a offensive setting.
Tbh I think the only reason people still hate the black box was because of the point in time where it could heal up to 20 health per damage source. Meaning it was possible to heal for well over 20 hp with well placed shots and could make the downside of one less rocket less prevalent when the soldier could quite easily earn 60+ hp per shot.
Phlog sucks honestly, the crits just arent as valuable as airblasting. It only becomes overpowered when you start canceling the taunt and getting uber out of it.
Ya know, for the vaccinator, id say a nice debuff to balance it better, is while you get the resistance of 1 type of damage, the other types of damage youre more vulnerable too. For example. Say my heavy and I are being gunned down, so i switch to bullet resistance, but then a pyro comes around to cook us, now wed have say... a 10% vulnerability to fire, so id have to either switch to fire and risk the bullet damage, or hope we survive the pyro.
I suck ass at landing headshots and 150 Damage is enough to finish off people in most situations, whether it be light classes or some other battle worn classes If that does not kill them, then they're coated in jarate and with 150 less health who just needs a teammate of yours to tickle them to take them out
As a Roadhog player who's been through this, that and the other, I know EXACTLY why people HATE the kunai over the half zato, and has entirely to do with a couple core concepts. A lot of the phycology of players believe that if something can one-shot them (or others) without any way to "counter" it, that it's purely the weapon's fault. People can handily tolerate something being able to obliterate you off the face of the earth, but the second you make that character that can one-shot even remotely tanky, people's WHOLE phycology gets thrown through a loop, and literally the only way to appease these type of people is either gut the one-shot, or gut the healing, both of which are equally nasty changes to the weapon as a whole core concept. There's never gonna be a stat added to where you get more or less healing depending on like, how many hours the person you stabbed have. They got the stab, the used the health effectively to get out or leave, and the MGE god who believes in hyper-fixating on damage thresholds loses their shit. I'm not even gonna lie, it's an entirely entitled way of thinking about it, where you blame the spy for backstabbing your teammates instead of swallowing your pride and playing the defense, helping your team not eat shit(?!) It's like people don't recognize that true one-shots like this have down time that can be exploited with a little bit of game sense... i do indeed see my shelf struggling to get kills
What is this game called?
the ammo box lol 2:53:46
Window maker.
this is not arrayseven, this is teal opal
I thought the widowmaker was called the window maker when I first played TF2, and I still call it the window maker now because I like that name more. Anyone else who called it that or is jt just me? And if you did...
👇
its because it shoots a window through enemy gamers
To be fair, no gamer has a wife. So it makes more sense as the window maker rather than the widowmaker.
hud?
I read it as tours😂
