Man, that's the most relateable quote ever lol. I'm in the exact same boat, as I grew up largely with some of the same games you did, such as CS 1.6 and San Andreas, but also the Black Box NFS games, HL, and TONS of NES games, as those were the only consoles I was ever allowed to own as a kid (or rather, before I turned 11 and the final NES broke and was never repaired).
So now I'm either going way back in time, or emulating tons of games from the PSX/PS2/Wii U/GameCube days that I never could back in the day. I prefer playing the stuff that is more reasonably old as those games aged better and don't feel as archaic as say, something from the 90s, although there are major exceptions there as well (I unironically think Silent Hill 1 is one such game that aged remarkably well, way better than many of its peers, such as the Resident Evil games from around its time, which are borderline unplayable for me due to their hideously dated and slow gameplay. The remakes are the only way to experience them for me).
I try to avoid getting stuck in the past as well, so I'm bouncing between modern games and older stuff all the time, but with new games it tends to be much harder for me to find stuff either because of very high system requirements, the games themselves not being really my cup of tea, or the constant DRM abuse - I limit myself to only 2 major game distribution services, and even then, the games that incorporate Denuvo or require ANOTHER account on top of it (such as Rockstar Social Club or UPlay) are something that ain't ever landing in my library. Denuvo sucks and I refuse to allow filthy DRM that requires such high priviledges on my systems, and I also refuse to make 100.000 accounts just to play 1-2 games because everyone just has to have their own platform these days, it's a pain in the ass to maintain so many accounts, so, no can do sir.

Fun fact: the Yugo was based on a scrapped initial design for Fiat Uno that Fiat ended up not liking therefore selling the blueprint to Zastava, and that's the whole reason why Yugo had independent rear suspension.
My family assembled these polski fiats etc in Ireland in the 70's, I still have the original manuals for such work
As someone who recently tried out GT4 for the first time with this randomizer, I've gotten some rather plain cars but I got a Silverado SST Concept truck that I'll be needing for an event apparently. I've been having a lovely time with this mod so far, hopefully I'll get a RUF in the future because of....reasons. Another banger video Dove! Props to you and the editor legend himself javi for putting this out.

The Astra Touring Car was my go to car for doing the Nordschleife lap record. Handling was just superb and therefore a monster in corners
This mod is the best GT4 experience I've ever had, hands down.

As an aside, it's absolutely nuts that they've added functional UI to this mod based on reverse engineering the game. That's impressive work that bodes well for future mods (new races? cars??)
The mod maker did mention he is goin to add new events through the spec 2 mod later this year hopefully 👀

This randomizer randomize prize cars on each cups, but funny if you got a fast car on just a basic cup or worse the worst car to the oldies.
What's the funnier you'll get a same car from different events

I'm hoping that one day we get a PSP content mod. All of the unique cars and possibly even tracks ported to GT4 from the PSP game. It's probably way too much to ask for, but it'd be cool.

I got a Pescarollo Race Car from Sunday Cup, but then I got a Volvo Estate from the Tuning Car Grand Prix lol
For me I did the Lupo Cup and got a Nissan R89 Race car but then got a Nissan Cube from the 24h Lemans race lol

When I did my playthrough (as "Thunder"), it gave me a Spyker C8 *FOUR TIMES.* Talk about "luck", lmao.
I did also get the Ford GT LM Spec II though, but from Alpine rather than Hyundai.
Really fun to play around with, I've got several name ideas for future runs.

I really wonder how high the traction control was with your Astra, driving a race-car in economy tires is absolute pain. I think your car prizes were quite decent, you had a lot of open events to tackle. I found the problem usually comes with being short in funds to modify them and make them competitive for more difficult races. Drift car for FF challenge? That's excellent.
Usually with assits I turn off ASM to 0 and TCS at 1 for most cars

I finally got my system sorted to have fun with this. B licence was a 300ZX and a Fiat 500 R. A licence was a Tiburon and a Vectra. We'll see what the future holds for it all.

I got nothing but kei cars and low power sh*tboxes until i did the Tsukuba Wet Track. Suddenly it dropped a Corvette C5R.
i love how someone defended the Tiburon because it featured in NFSU2, but the Undergrounds were the ONLY NFS games to feature relatively crappy cars and maybe some muscle cars and like 2 proper tuners

@@DoVe_7 My Seed was so good, that i got every specific Car i need for every Event and it only took me between 18 and 21 Percent of the Progress and now i am doing the last 3 GTWC Races / Also the IA Licence gave me the Chapparal 2J and and a Sports Truck soo i got rly lucky 😁

So in NFS U 2 you can wall grind for faster speeds? Didn't play enough of that game to know sadly, mostly Carbon and Most wanted. Don't know if those can wallgrind too.

Well you never until you try + it's a fun experience seeing what random stuff you can get here
Are the times for licenses different in PAL and NTSC? I'm on PAL and they mostly were extremely tight times to beat!
Also, for special events, here's a little tip, there's NO tyre wear, so just go in using the qualifying (super soft) racing tyres and just obliterate any that aren't off-road!

@@DoVe_7 No wonder then, on PAL I've been having way too much trouble on some of them, especially full lap ones, and even silvers are often extremely hard, let alone golds. Might try NTSC for the randomizer sometime and see the difference myself.

For GT4 get PCSX2 emulator and look up tutorial for setup
For GT5... Prolly RPCS3 which is quiet unstable comparing to PCSX2, but still useable
