It's nice to see the Impreza Rally Edition from the first game get restored to its former glory. I was always disappointed with how GT2 nerfed the power on it.
If you're wondering how to obtain the Jomo livery R390, it's a racing mod for the '98 R390 race car (which is a World Championship prize as usual). Also, regarding the 840Ci LM's power output, it only had 1000 horsepower in one of the prereleases. In the final 1.0 release it was down to around 590. In the prerelease I looked at before 1.0 it had 740.
@@TheRealEmile Yeah, that was only in that one prerelease build. The 1000 horsepower 840 LM never made it to the full release build (I think the prerelease I played was before yours, and it had 740 horsepower then). Though with the just under 600 horsepower it has in the main release it's not hurting for power.
All the new updates look great so far, especially can't wait to get hold of the Jordan, Sauber and Benetton and park them outside the F1 trucks at Laguna... If there's one thing that would be awesome, it'd be corrected weight figures on all the Super Tourers (for example, the FWD cars were all 975kg in real life, think the A4 Quattro was 1070kg in 1997 along with the Chaser, but use the weight figures of the base car minus however many % weight reduction and racing mods remove). I know in 1.0 they set the base weights of the road cars to the correct figures but that goes awry once you tune. Was awesome being able to win the World Championship in a P11 Primera though. Maybe there's some trickery that can be done when applying the racing mods to adjust the weight correctly.
By anti-aliasing, I mean when making the textures they should use some, instead of sharp pixel by pixel. If you look at the original GT2 textures(can also be opened with GT2CarViewer program), they do have some antialiasing in texts and diagonal lines. Also, race mods use extra polygons(rectangles) on top of the model to add higher res textures, that also helps some. 405 T16's textures look better already, they have some of that smoothening of the edges I was talking about :>
I think it's possible on regular cars, but for racing mods with various colors incorporated in a livery it simply sometimes isn't. GT2 uses palettes for it's textures and it's seperated into parts like car's side, hood, roof, etc, and all can have only 16 colors each I believe. So considering the side needs some of those 16 colors for the windows already, plus other details, adding shading with liveries seems impossible because it's not really possible to draw lines and have them anti aliased, it would add too much color. in fact, I believe it's mostly a pixelart job because of this, quite the challenge.
I know it might be an outside chance and I know no one developing the mod is gonna see this but I'd love to see the 1998 or 1999 V8 Supercars added to the mod. The VS or new VT Commodore and the EL and new AU Falcon of the growing V8 Supercars series. Little downforce, skinny tyres, RWD and 600+ horse power with the liveries being from multiple teams with an additional livery for each cars race modification.
