I loved the Gene Wilder version. One of my favorite movies of all time. Johnny Depp version as all right. I will see Wonka but not expecting anything great!
Yeah it is deservedly a classic! And yes I actually read the book after watching the Wilder version, and ultimately I appreciated the Depp version because it’s a bit closer to the book. Lots of people hated it, but I appreciated it for what it was. Let me know how you like it!
Thanks for the review! I am glad you mentioned it was a musical because I didn’t realize that. Now when I go see it, I am sure I will like it more because I will be prepared for all the singing! 😊 Sounds like a movie I personally will enjoy. Would you say it is a “feel good “ type a movie? Sounds like that may just be what I need during the stressful holiday season!
Haha yes I think if I had known that, it wouldn’t have been jarring. Yeah I would actually say it’s one of the most “feel good” movies I’ve seen in a bit! I would say give it a shot
@@ILoveLucyFangirl well if you do, let me know how you like it! Yes I can’t recall anything inappropriate really…nothing too scary, no language I don’t think, certainly no nudity or anything like that, etc.
the best prequels are the star wars, at least Lukas took his time in 3 movies to explain a lot. I have always loved the star wars prequel, thats how you make them.
I will say that I love the Star Wars prequels too! I know they get a lot of flack, but I don’t understand most of it. Revenge of the Sith might just be my favorite Star Wars movie even
Thank you. This doesn’t look like something I personally would enjoy or appreciate. After your review I’m positive that I’ll skip it. Did love the Gene Wilder version though.
i went to see it. opening day. was pure garbage. woke social justice message. slavery, corrupt cops, cartels. chalamet was good but they paired him with a horrible girl actress. and the cast was absolutely horrible. the best part is hugh grant but he's barely in there. the best was the last 15 mins. how he makes chocolate was never explained and i got sick of the message about slavery and people being put down by the goverment. this movie is anti america
Oh really? I didn’t notice all of that, but can see how the message could be perceived as anti-capitalism. Yeah like I said, I had a hard time figuring out who was acting well and who wasn’t since the acting was very theater-esque. I too was surprised how little Grant was in there
Love it.. Chalamet was amazing in this movie.. you can feel that he is enjoying his role..
That’s a good point! Felt that way too with just about all the cast

@@Guywithnonamereviews I think I will! I’m also guessing it is appropriate for all ages?

@@Guywithnonamereviews thanks! I will let you know what I think. Hope you feel better soon!
Thanks for the review! I'm currently writing a novel about Willy Wonka's... daughter (insert vine boom)!
Of course, appreciate you watching! Wow, that’s pretty awesome! I will have to keep an eye out for that
Her name is Hillary Cady Wonka and her mom is Willy Wonka's wife, Ava.
@@VictoriaRamos-jz6mb okay interesting! Good luck with it all; feel free to update me on the status of it!

Thanks for the review!! I’ve been wondering if it’s the fun kind of movie I’d enjoy or if it borders being *wonky* hahah
Of course, appreciate you watching! Hahaha nice one 😆 So are you thinking you’ll end up seeing it?

Well good, glad I was able to help you make that decision! That’s what my goal is
