I didn’t see the movie, but was curious if it was good since the actor seemed to be another method actor maybe? Not sure, but he didn’t look like he would do a bad job or at least make the story more interesting. I probably won’t see it just because I’m not a huge horror film, but it seems like maybe he’s more of an anti-hero than a murderer? Looks alright though!

4:10 This was probably my biggest problem with the movie, not so much with the quality of the CGI but with what the CGI creation actually was. Some of the fan service felt like pandering too ("He said the line from Alien! I remember that movie!" type stuff); that Aliens callback from Andy in the elevator shaft was mega-cringe. Still liked the movie though. It felt a lot more like an Alien film than Prometheus and Alien Covenant did.

I thought Minions was the best of all

Despicable Me 4 is honestly bad in my opinion. They did it try. The villain and the baby didn’t have big moments in the movie and that’s a huge shame.

I have an interest in psychopathy which is the only reason I wanna watch it. Josh looks like he nailed the role. Hopefully I'll be able to ignore the autistic dialogue and focus on Josh Hartnett's role as a psychopath. He kinda gives me Dexter vibes.

Despicable Me1,2 and Rise of Gru on the other hand are very fun.

I think my favorite is the Despicable Me 2, also! I really enjoyed it and probably would like to watch again soon. I almost always seem to like the first movies when there is more than one, though. Maybe it’s because of the newness? So Despicable Me is a close second for me. I haven’t seen the latest movie and I am disappointed you ranked it last. I will still probably go see it just for a break from the summer heat!

I think I’d rank about the same! I forgot about the minion movies though, but I like the franchise from all angles. Not a fan of cockroach man 🤢

I saw Verizon two days ago. It’s almost as if the reviewer here and I saw different movies. I loved the movie! It was beautifully filmed, the music was amazing, and fit the storyline, the acting was amazing and even though I had heard some of the storylines could be confusing. I didn’t find it confusing at all. I can hardly wait for the second movie to come out and completely hope that all four chapters, and the possible fifth chapter I heard about in a Kevin Costner interview, might actually be made.

Horizon is one of the best Westerns ever made, no idea how you could give it a 2.5 stars.

I saw horizon....i liked the movie. Its an introduction to the upcoming movies. This one is just part 1....it shows the hardships of those times....

I didn't like it until the day after. Needs subtitles. I think next episode is going to pull it together and it will be epic

Watched the movie last night. Enjoyed it but was a little underwhelmed by what I felt was unrealistic makeup on women who are supposed to be traveling, living and working in the middle of nowhere but look like they spent 3 hours on their makeup. There were also some scenes that were unnecessarily drawn out. Much of the filming was done in tight such that the beautiful scenery could be enjoyed. However the multiple characters stories are interesting and you become engrossed with their plot. I noticed a lot of well known actors as well. Overall I give it a 7 out of 10 and will be watching episode 2.

I saw the movie, I just wasted 3 hours of my life that I can't get back

I saw the movie this evening. I purposefully did little advance research and went not really knowing anything about it other than it’s a Costner passion project. But growing up in Oklahoma and familiar with western history, the genre holds a special place. I really enjoyed it. The cinematography is beautiful. I liked that the story made you think and didn’t spoon feed the viewer or make it too predictable. This was best served by having the pacing move from different storylines like it did. I’ve read tonight (after viewing) where some folks think the movie is chaotic and frenetic in its storytelling, and I think that is somewhat purposeful. That’s what the west was like during that era. Sometimes decisions were made in haste that proved deadly, and this movie does a good job of highlighting this. I’m definitely looking forward to watching the next movie and hope for a full four part run. Thanks for your critique though. Always enjoy hearing others take as well.

Darn I was kind of looking forward to seeing this, but now I might just wait for it to come out on streaming or even wait to see how reviews for Chapter 2 are. I don’t want to get invested in it like that if it’s not worth it
