1st Golden Girl appearance by Kristy McNichol as neighbor Barbara Weston. McNichol started out on ABC's "Family" as Buddy Lawrence back in 1976, only to go on to a solid movie career before returning to TV and "Empty Nest" in 1988.
This was such a hilarious episode, one of my favorites. I just love how Blanche found immediate solace in the fact that she was now descended from Northerners who WON the war! ;D
@@BroadwayGuy25 Oh really?! Yeah, now that I think about it, I realize now who it is! Well, it is a very pretty dress, I can understand it being reused. x3
"Nice way to talk to your mother, Pussycat." One of my favorite Sophia moments. 😆 Also I think Barbara was the true MVP of this episode. Barbara literally saved Miles life, captured a wanted fugitive and found Sophia's lost glasses. But did anyone even thank her?😂
That quote Blanche gave about “Hath not…..” is actually from Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice and it was about being Jewish but they changed it for the storylines but i guess those Daughters of the Confederacy are more okay with being Jewish but hell no at being a YANKEH 😂
Ladies and Gentlemen, Roy Orbison. 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

Buffalo has never sounded funnier! Bea Arthur is a fantastic actress. Great reaction, Alexxa.
One of my all time favorite GG episodes
the CheeseMan, had a lot of patience with Rose, especially with:
'I'll give you a wring.'
Rose: I can't accept jewelry.' 😂
Did u see his face when he walked away? 😂
I sure did 😂
Rose was HILARIOUS in this episode:
KARL: I’ll give you a ring.
ROSE: I can’t accept jewelry!
ROSE: You told us you didn’t have a gun! YOU LIED!!! 😂😂😂
The lady at 8:23 is wearing Rose's lilac dress from the episode where she turns cartwheels at the dance marathon.
Oh my gosh, I just now noticed that!!! XD
@@Kelaiah01 And it's worn by yet another actress in "The Case of the Libertine Belle" in Season 7. :)

Yes, the cheeseman character found communicating Rose very difficult, but so did Miles in the early days. He had to figure her out, too.

Imagine trying to start a club called "The Daughters of The Confederacy" today.
😅
Right?!?!

SAMUEL PLANKMAKER 😂
Hey, an Empty Nest character!
Is this a cross over episode to the show Empty Nest? That was a pretty good show.
I thought Empty Nest was technically a spinoff of GG.
@@tookitogo It was. It, in turn, spawned Nurses. Sophia appeared on all three.
❤
very religious episode ❤
Nothing's perfect...
Huh? How?
