10:37 the languages aren't the only difficulty when translating stand-up from Danish - Danish humor is very heavy on sarcasm, where British humour leans more towards irony. Things that would absolutely kill in Denmark might not work in the UK at all.

I just gotta love how he uses a part of a christmas carol twice and the audience picks up on it the 2nd time xD

I can't not laugh at this one no matter how many times I watch it. He's a great comedian.

I'm astonished that he didn't make a joke like: "My Irish father only went for my Danish mother because she always sounded like she had a potato in her mouth," or something like that.

2:42 it's not the thing not killing you that makes you stronger. It's the healing after the incident

I know, but that's only if you do manage heal and recover 100% otherwise, you're left with sequelae, trauma and fear of it happening again

@@NordicReactions the point is you don't heal a 100%, like you don't need to get hurt physically, but your can learn a lesson, from your mistakes, like don't trust a person that keeps lying to you, if you don't learn from that mistake, then you are just an idiot, and for my example, i jumped over a fence, and almost lost my finger by doing that, i don't jump over fences anymore, and i don't just do something without thinking, because i got stronger mentally from my mistakes

believe me it's difficult translating especially Danish humour to English just translating Disney songs turns incredibly naughty when translating them back and forth from danish and English
it's also funny that you go I hope she didn't feel offended where Danish humour is I hope you feel offended that would be funny and the offended person oftentimes agree one of the biggest Danish comedians Anders Matthesen did entire show whether first half of the show he was on one side of an argument and on the other side of the show the other side of the argument even changing the set from light to dark

I don’t know Simon Talbots Danish shows, but a lot of Danish stand up comedians rely heavily on puns, so that would be impossible to translate most of that. Also references to Danish culture are hard for foreigners to understand. It is easier for us to understand English or American comedians, as we have much more input from their culture than the other way around.

You really should make a habit of pausing the videos when you have something to say about it. You miss some of the content, and we as viewers can have a bit difficult hearing any of you or whatever is happening in the videos..
    Just a suggestion 🙂

Its this that one have English as a second language and one do get inspired by Anglo-Saxon cultur.. we tend to adapt a lot of expressions! They dont mean the same thing.. its juste cool expressions/words/scentenses!
