I've serviced my Samsung Dryer and found it to be fairly easy to fix so far. I've replaced the heating element after over 7 years of use. The plastic idler roller broke after more than 8 years of use. I bought a set of belt, tumbler rollers and complete idler assembler. What I noticed was the belt kept slipping after the replacement of the arm and roller. The gap was too wide for the copy cat part. It was easily remedied by adding washers to the arm. I got as close as I can so that the arm was as tight as it can get before it locks up to minimize the vibrations and keep the belt centered. Model is Samsung WF431ABP/XAA. I personally think this dryer was decently designed. If Maybe the roller shouldn't have been plastic but metal and you wouldn't have to worry about that part forever.

Thanks for watching and thanks for the comments. Based on our experience we see Samsung dryer with broken rollers and pulley on 4-5 years old dryers. We don't see that for example with Whirlpool ones. Of course not all of them will start falling apart in 5 years however based on our experience Samsung dryers are not the most reliable ones.

Hello Anish, thanks for watching and thanks for the question. It looks like it is sealed system issue.
It’s not an easy fix and you better call manufacturer to request a service for this type of the problem.

I have a question my Samsung dryer just stopped working like a couple minutes after I started it. It’s only a year & half old. It’s a DVE(G)547200. I’m not getting any lights on the control panel now. I checked the voltage in and it’s getting that. I thought maybe it wasn’t getting the dc out to the touch screen panel so I ordered a new DC92-01729Z control board and still nothing. Be happy for any help you could send my way.

Hi Cole, thanks for watching and thanks for the question. To find the root cause of the issue you need to trace the power from the supply to the point where it stops which means that this part of the dryer doesn’t bypass the power while it should.
To be honest, you might waste a lot of money before you find where the problem is by just replacing the part after part. This issue is not obvious and needs a trained technician to look at your dryer. So I would recommend to contact manufacturer especially if the dryer is just 1.5 y.o.
I’ve seen many times when manufacturer still covering at least a portion of the repair when it’s a bit over 1 y.o.

Hi, i would like to know if in europe are samsung dryers bad too, becuse i herad that in europe they have a better quality control. They offer an 5 year warranty and a 20 year warranty for the motor or compressor. I have another question, if the newer models of dryers (DV90BB9445GHS7), washing machines (WW11BB944DGHS7), and fridges (RB38A7B63B1/EF) are better in quality. btw great video!

Hello, thanks for watching and thanks for the question. I am afraid it will be hard for us to judge the quality of the appliances on the market we are not present. I can only say that Samsung fridges seem to have similar issue across the world.

Hi Eddy, we would recommend Bosch as well as Blomberg. Also Miele is making really good appliances however they are on more pricy side

Don’t buy a Samsung. It shuts off constantly before my clothes are dry. I will never buy another Samsung appliance.
