I am glad you showed this yarn, I was wondering about it. There are a lot of us who like the bigger size blanket. Thanks so much for this video. You are such a great teacher.
Glenda, I too have used super saver for years. I remember when it was red heart coats, and Clark, and it really was rough then. I have found that if I put my crocheted or knitted item in the dryer with the dryer sheet, that yarn becomes nice and soft and squishy. I really get tired of hearing people put this work horse down. I have noticed over the past six years red heart has made super softer than it was before. I have Afghan that I have made decades ago and they are still looking good. Super saver is almost indestructible. And the cars are wonderful. I especially enjoy the stripes. Thank you for promoting red heart super saver. So many crafters put it down. 😊😊
Thank You Crystal, Love your channel and love your new house and how your fixing it all up. LOVED the stain glass afghan you received, it is beautiful!!
I like the way you explain everything. I've actually been crocheting since I was young let's say 50 years. Taught myself. Thank you for being so thoughtful.
This is a “keeper”. Beautiful shade of yarn and stitch pattern. Your instruction’s are easy to follow and the camera’s focus is excellent. I love all your videos and thank you for sharing your expertise.
I made two of these afghans for my nieces for Xmas. They love them. One is in gray ombré and one is premier puzzle yarn. Love them both. I don’t see anywhere to post pictures. Thx for sharing the pattern.
I just made this for myself in the same color and oh my gosh it's my favorite blanket thank you so much , now my son wants one in the blue we love this pattern
I just watched the entire video and I adore your teaching style. I love how you explain the "why" of what you do, ex: why you do 2 repeats in a corner, etc. Thank you so very much. Going to start making this afghan with same yarn, colorway deep teal.
I love this pattern. I ordered my yarn today, downloaded the pattern, and can't wait to start it. Thank you for the tutorial and taking the time to go slowly, pointing out where the stitches go, identifying stitches, etc. I am new to crochet and you are a wonderful teacher! :)
This is going to be one of my first blanket/afghan I’m make in 2022. Just try to decide the color as I have the blue ombré and the brown ombré. Thank you for this tutorial.
I love the Red Heart Ombré yarns! They wash up so nice and they get softer with every wash. I love how the green worked up. So pretty. Thank you Glenda for another great Afghan pattern!
Love it Glenda! I'm saving your tutorial to do a bit later in the year...because...as usual I have another of your projects going! Love your show & your tutorials are really wonderful. You take your time so that even those without much experience can follow along! Thank you! 💕
Just now found this tutorial and I love it! Glenda, you are just the sweetest and I love your tutorials. I will be making this in one of the blue ombré of RHSS. Thank you!! ❤
Thank you Glenda for a beautiful blanket, totally manageable pattern for a beginner crocheter with your excellent teaching. I just finished this, my second ever, adult size throw. Mine came out about 51"x61" using Caron Crystal Cakes, in Starry Night, used about 4 1/4 cakes. And it is beautiful!!! A housewarming gift for my niece and nephew. Thank you!!!
Love this pattern...it makes a more solid fabric out of the Granny stitch, but still has the clusters effect, which I like,...so thank you for the tutorial...
I just started watching your videos. I can say that i think you're absolutely the best teacher for me. I can understand so well with you. Thank you so much. Love your work. So beautiful. My mom taught me how to crochet when i was 6yrs old. I had just started patterns and things like granny squares when she passed away. It has been hard to learn all this with out her. Now i have a new teacher. Do you ever work up Tunisian crochet... It is one of my new passions. Mom always tried to teach me to knit also but i couldnt get it. I feel like i am half doing it with Tunisian. Lol Thanks again.
I am working on this pattern using Bernat Pop Ebony and Ivory. I ran short on yarn, so had to order more. When I finish I will post a picture I love this pattern and it looks good with the self striping yarn
Redheart Ombre is my absolute favorite yarn. I love every single color they have of them. I have 4 blankets made out of 4 colors and this pattern will be for one of the other colors. Thank you Glenda for always showing us great patterns and teaching us so well!
TIP: If you're a few chains short of what is needed, go into the last chain and chain what is needed with the yarn tail. It works, I've done it numerous times.
I love how the ombre works with this pattern. I need to hurry up and finish some of my projects already started so I can make this. The next hardest part to this is deciding on the color.
I too love Redheart yarn!!! I have the pink and have been looking for a pattern for a baby girl…well I found it. Thanks Glenda for once again coming to my rescue…this is beautiful!!! Perfect timing as I’m just finishing up another baby girl blanket today. This will be my fifth blanket in a row…lots of babies coming!!! Still more to do
