I'm going to make this for a co-worker. She is having a boy in October, I've been searching for a baby blanket I liked! This is a simple stitch but I really love the way it looks! Great job 👍 I'm thinking I'm going to use a really soft grey for my base color and a grey/yellow/blue mix for row 3 and border. I'll post a picture if it turns out nice.

Thank you. Here is my story. I have been crocheting for many years. All those years I have depended on crochet instruction videos for learning new stitches. All those years my stitch counting was a failure. As hard as I tried, and with my final products being quite good, but never exactly square or not exactly rectangle, and not exactly with straight edges 😊
In this video you gave such excellent end of row and beginning of row instruction regarding the chain two (instead of chain three). You showed clearly where to put a stitch marker, with pointing out the loops to count upwards on the turning chain, all very helpful. Also you clearly explained and showed us that the turning chain counts as the first or the last “double crochet”.
Thank you. Now my friends and relatives will be receiving as gifts, afghans
that ARE actually square or rectangle.😁

I really appreciate that you went slowly and explained thoroughly what you were doing. I now feel confident that I can make this blanket. I was just on premier's website because I bought the basix chenille sometime last year before I was hospitalized with covid jn December. I have no idea what pattern I was supposed to make with the yarn. I now keep a list of the yarn and color with the pattern on a list. I'm sure it was a afghan of some kind!!! I was looking at lullaby also today online and trying to match it with something else other than white. Lullaby is very pretty. So is Impressionist. With they would do a multi color with southwest shades. I love premier yarns. Told my friend to try them and that's all she uses now also. She and my aunt are the only 2 persons I know that crochet. Been using only Premier for years. I get deliveries all the time from them @ some point I need to get these used. I miss their mystery boxes wish they would bring them back. Need to make this baby afghan because my moms church has a baby shower 2x a year for less fortunate moms to-be. I gave her 2 baby afghans for her gift again this year. Keep the great patterna comming Glenda!!! #MakeItPremier
