O my goodness i just decided earlier on using one of your other tutorials to make a blanket. Now i need to decide whether i will make this blanket or the other one. Decisions decisions. Thank you for this beautiful blanket tutorial
We just found out over the weekend we are having grand baby #13! I loved it when you said to “wrap him”, this baby is a boy! I have this yarn in a mint green and I happen to have the white!!! I’m so excited and can’t wait to start this!
Hello Glenda….you are a fabulous teacher…. I like the way you give the stitch count at the end of the row And how you show where the first stitch is when you begin a row…..when I was first starting as a newbie, so many instructors went so fast and I had such a hard time figuring out where that first stitch should be…..as a new subscriber I haven’t seen that beautiful border with the picot stitch on top……it is gorgeous and I will be using it on my next baby blanket…..ty for all your informative videos…….you are my favorite…..
Hi Glenda, I just finished the body of this blanket but haven’t done the border Pico design. I can follow your instructions but am not happy with the outcome of some of my Pico stitches, stitch, some of the stitches are either to tight and some are loose. I was wondering if the border from one of your other Baby Blanket videos would work out better for me (meaning be much easier)? Would or could the “Double Crochet border”from your Multi-Color V Baby Blanket Design look nice as a border for this Easy Design Baby Blanket?
Absolutely beautiful!😍 That picot is EVERYTHING. I love the simplicity of this blanket. Simple yet beautiful. I’ll be adding this to my to do list. Tfs. Have a wonderful day.🤗
Glenda I love your tutorials! You are such a great teacher! I love making blankets but have so many bc I did not finish anything to send to the lawyers thingy. I finished 3 but am still making more for the lawyer thingy hope you do it again! Have a great day!
Yayyyyy!!! I love this one sooo much I wanted to wait for the tutorial but when you showed us the no fuss stitch I guessed at the rest and started. I guessed the right hook, amount of balls but I did 112 ch, I was close, lol. I will still watch the tutorial and going to use the beautiful border you did...thank you sooo much Glenda, it's gorgeous!! ❤️👍😀
Just made two of them this month and can't wait to gift them. I ended up using Caron Jumbo in "Baby Rainbow" and it turned out really nice. The blanket is a bit stiff at first but I'll probably wash them before giving. Thanks for the tutorial!
I did a blanket with this stitch from your wash clothes a couple of videos back my boarder is V stitch I have to send you the picture. Your the best teacher.
This was a fun, easy afghan to make. I made it with yarn I have stored. I have a few bins of yarn that I’ve collected over the years. Baby sized blankets make great lap blankets for those in wheel chairs. I’ll be donating my blankets to an assisted living residence and an organization that provides baby blankets to those in need. Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful patterns with us.
Hello Glenda I hope this finds you & yours well 💕🌷🙏🏼 Now this stitch amazed me bcz I was taught your stitches had to be the same height.. It’s lovely and I can’t wait to get started. I have learned so much from you and want to say Thank you & also tell you that you are so appreciated. This would make a great lap gan for the wheel chair Vets hmmm red white and blue 😊
Just in time Glenda, I just bought my yarn to make a baby blanket for a new arrival due this Christmas Eve. Prefect timing, as I looked around for the design I wanted to, they all seemed blah, but this one really caught my eye. THANKS!♥️🧶God bless, be safe and stay well.♥️
I just made a baby blanket using this yarn! I coupled it with the ice cream scoop, blueberry. It's beautiful yarn! And the interesting striping makes for a lovely blanket!
I started watching your tutorials and am in love with all you have taught me. I have so far donated 5 baby blanket . This particular blanket I have done twice. Love the simplicity. Thank you so much. I have recommend you to my crochet group
I love to watch and listen as you teach. I don’t know what is prettier the yarn or the blanket. I’m glad you put a border on the blanket, I always do because I think it gives it a polished look.
I love your patterns so much. My daughters and I are making baby blankets, beanies etc. to donate to the Ronald McDonald House this year at the holidays and we need simple but beautiful patterns so that we can make as many as many blankets that we can. I will be making several of these but in different colors. Thank you and please keep up the great work. We appreciate you.
Gorgeous blanket. Just made this with Hobby Lobby cozy occasion yarn. Adjusted a little bit for the yarn weight but it's absolutely beautiful! Thank you @Creative Grandma! Love your channel!
At last, someone who holds their hook like I do! My mother taught me to crochet as a child and I'm now 72. I've tried to hold my hook like the average person does but have always found it awkward. I get the job done my way so that's all that matters! Your tutorials are great and I've used many of your patterns for baby blankets. Thank you!
I just finished my very first baby blanket using your video. ❤️ It turned out great! You are an excellent teacher and full of detail for us beginners. Looking forward to making more of your projects! Thank you SO much!
I just wanted to say Thank you. Its 2am and I just finished this blanket and it looks amazing. It’s a gift for an employee who is expecting her first child. Thank you for the amazing tutorial and for helping me finish and actually gift my first crocheted baby blanket. ❤️. Gotta be up in 3.5 hours.
Hello Glenda!! I absolutely love how you teach so clearly. Thank you so much for taking the time to make viedos that are so easy to understand and follow. You are my favorite to watch. ❤
This was a great tutorial! I finished my very first baby blanket and it looks beautiful. That you for your wonderful guidance! However, although this Lionbrand was pretty yarn, two things were difficult. The internal end was not obvious and I made a mess trying to find it and get it out. Finally, on my skein for the finishing stitches, I easily found the internal end but after I pulled out about a foot, it hopelessly was tangled, so I just used the external end which is harder to work with as you crochet along, but putting it in a ziplock bad works to keep it together as it unravels. The second thing was that as I was working along, there was a knot-yes you read that right-that I had to cut out and join the yarn back into my work. I will not work with this brand again, needless to say. But the pattern and how-to were great!
Hi Glenda, thank you for this easy to follow tutorial. I finished making mine with the color mint, I was able to make the blanket and border out of three skeins of yarn, and it turned out beautiful. Thanks again, love your channel.
I just finished a blanket with this stitch, it's easy and works up fast. This is the stitch pattern your sister is doing on her blanket. I just saw a summer top made with this stitch and can't wait to make it. Thanks Glenda, oh the colors are great how they stripe the blanket.
Why a wonderful pattern! I just finished it using a pretty pink yarn with a white border. I used Plymouth Encore, 75% acrylic, 25% wool which is one of my favorite yarns for crochet blankets.Pattern was simple to do but the effect was beautiful. My great niece is due in December and I am sure she will enjoy it. You are right about the picot border. I will use it again.
Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial! I'm glad that you out show the first stitch and the stitch count for the row. The border is so pretty! Take care and stay safe!
I just finished this baby afghan in Mint with a white border. Only 3 more to make, each in a different color. I love this Lion Brand Ice Cream yarn. Thank you for another great tutorial.
Glenda the blanket is beautiful, bright and cheerful. You are an excellent teacher. I appreciate the calmness of your voice, the counts and the hints. Thank you for sharing. I will be making this blanket for sure. God bless Collee : )
I love those colors! How beautiful and cheery those colors are. I screams summer. I use the picot stitch also. It add a delicate edge that can be used for both genders of a baby. This blanket is adorable. Thank you Glenda for sharing these stitches. Have a great evening.
I must say this is by far one of the best tutorial I have seen for crochet. I love the pattern , which I am going to do later. A very well explained tutorial for any beginner. Job well done.
Hello Glenda from Whittier, CA! It’s currently in the 90’s so, of course, I decided to begin a baby blanket for a fellow hospital volunteer ha! Our Volunteer Services department received a generous donation of 12 skeins of LB Ice Cream yarn #3 weight and my Director stuck it all in my cubbyhole, wow! So happy to find your pattern/tutorial using this particular yarn so for sure it’s a no-brained, No Fuss Blanket yay Say hey to Cody and keep up the great work encouraging and motivating all the finer folks😀
Just finished this blanket using this yarn in mint, but the big scoop version of this yarn. It’s a bit smaller than the pattern, but still looks beautiful and will be a gift for a best friend’s daughter’s baby shower.
Just started following you and started this blanket. Such as lovely clear video with clear simple instructions and pointing where to place your hook. I’m only on row 4 but loving the simplicity and texture can’t wait to finish it and find another of your tutorials. Easy to follow even though I’m left handed. Thank you x❤
Really love watching your easy to follow tutorials. The yarn used for this particular one is very pretty, but when adding the next skein to continue my work, it didn't exactly line up with the color I left off on, so I had to cut it until it matched. Also, some of the strands are very thin. It's still beautiful though. I'm about half way done with my afghan, and I can't wait to put the pretty border on.
What a wonderful teaching video! I love how you specifically show the exact starting stitch in each row. So happy I stumbled across your video. Thank you!
Glenda, I find myself using this border a lot with baby blankets too. It is just so pretty and delicate-looking, I just can’t help it. I learned it from you. Lol. I’ll still use it a lot. Love it!!!🙏🏻💥🎉♥️ Although I’ve never made it in any color but white or cream. That’s odd. I’ll put that on my agenda!🌈
Due to this video, I just bought this yarn. I've been looking for a yellow/pale yellow yarn to do a blanket for someone, and this is perfect. Love how you do your borders. Thank you for this.
Glenda, just wanted you to know that I just finished this blanket and it really was no fuss. It turned out beautiful and I love it. Thanks again the the tutorial.
